Eliza Madrigal sighs....beautiful life
Eden Haiku: I’m wiped out but feeling so happy.
Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: poured out
Eden Haiku: Best moment was when my eldest grandniece handed me the huge pink collective gift with a big big smile and gave me a great hug.
Riddle Sideways: like that phrase "poured out"
Eden Haiku: She had her mother write sweet words for me in the card.
Eliza Madrigal imagines what it is like to have Eden as Auntie

Eden Haiku: Hello Adams, good morning!
Eliza Madrigal: a loving hostess
--BELL--
You will be missed Eliza
Eden Haiku: My companion has been wonderful. He put up the brunch we had prepared together while I was playing in the pool with others:) I didn't work much all week end. Mostly played :) Quite tiring the little boy, he changes directions every 10 seconds!
Eden Haiku: How were your week ends?
Bleu Oleander: hard act to follow!
Eden Haiku: :)
Eliza Madrigal: changes directions every 10 seconds, haha... great description
Eden Haiku: Remembering your boy in his younger years?
Eliza Madrigal: The boy used to run into walls for fun
Eliza Madrigal: :) please edit his name though [Done]
Eden Haiku: LOL
Eden Haiku: Yes, I will, sorry :(
Eliza Madrigal: oldest daughter was the never sit still one :))
Eliza Madrigal: no worries at all. It is nice to talk about them by their names!
Eliza Madrigal: Otherwise nothing too exciting here... getting organized to follow through with new schedule, which unfortunately means no longer coming to morning sessions after today :(
Bleu Oleander: :(
Riddle Sideways: :((
Eden Haiku: Oh...You will be missed Eliza...
Eliza Madrigal: I will miss these Monday mornings a lot
Eden Haiku: Is it a new work?
Eliza Madrigal: always have wanted to attend more, not less
Eliza Madrigal: It isn't.... it is my son's school schedule...
Eden Haiku: Ah, I see, you have to drive him...
Eliza Madrigal: I'll be away from the SL computer all morning.. he is enrolling in a special program
Eliza Madrigal: and it isn't worth it to come back home
Eden Haiku: He must be in high school level now?
Eliza Madrigal: only 5 hrs per day
Eliza Madrigal: yes, senior actually
Eliza Madrigal is soon to have only grown 'kids'
Eden Haiku: He's growing up your baby boy :)
Riddle Sideways: ah
Eliza Madrigal: he's had a hard time, but is having a surge of seeking independence, which is great
Empty nest or nest full of grown ups?
Bleu Oleander:empty nest or just nest with lots of grown ups? :)
Eliza Madrigal: hahah, the latter, Bleu
Bleu Oleander: seems more the norm these days!
Riddle Sideways: sometimes the grown kids move out
Eliza Madrigal: I've heard that rumor
Eden Haiku: ;)
Bleu Oleander: ha!
Eden Haiku: Did the new house deal work?
Riddle Sideways: hearing one grown kid banging around the kitchen right now
Bleu Oleander: :)
Eden Haiku: One who came back Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: /listens about the new house
Riddle Sideways: son
Eliza Madrigal: I'll know by Wednesday... would be another rental situation but lots more outdoorsy
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Boys!!!
Eliza Madrigal: is he making you breakfast, Riddle? :))
Riddle Sideways: ha! we can wish
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: George would like that
Eden Haiku: Renting is very liberating Eliza :) No worries... We rent both here and in Montreal .
Eliza Madrigal: he would... and I would for sure.... but we'll see... person renting out is wishy washy
Eliza Madrigal: send good vibes :))
Eden Haiku: Maybe you son is cooking pancakes, blueberry pancakes for his lovely Dad? I'm sure you are a great Dad Riddle.
Eliza Madrigal imagines so too
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm jury is out on that
Bleu Oleander: haven't had blueberry pancakes in years ... now can't get out of my mind ha ha!
Eliza Madrigal understands that
Eliza Madrigal: haha Eden :)
Eden Haiku: Sending you lots of good vibes so the renter stops being wishy-washy so you cam move in this house near a walking path Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thank you! :D
--BELL--
Lawn gnomes and shamanic paths
Eliza Madrigal: will be at the gym a lot, so have to download some good books and films
Riddle Sideways: darn
Riddle Sideways: that would be so bad
Eden Haiku: In the "Spirits of Nature" worshop I attended in July, the shaman explained there are something like " spirits of the weather" and that we can wish away clouds and rain. The forecasts were pretty bad for Saturday afternoon and Sunday so my companion and I tried that and it worked: no rain, and sunshine instead!
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eden Haiku: You might try 'the spirit of renters" Eliza :)
Riddle Sideways: good
Riddle Sideways: do they look like lawn gnomes?
Eden Haiku: Yep! They must!
Eliza Madrigal: this was a Path Shamanism workshop Eden?
Eden Haiku: From the Foundation of Shamanic Studies. Michael Harner, the anthropologist, created them.
Eden Haiku: Someone took my drum for a sing song for the children during the week end. He's a musician and he was so good! It was another great moment.
Bleu Oleander: I must slip away early today ... nice to see you all ... take care!
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you busy Bleu
Eden Haiku: Bye Bleu, have a great day!
Bleu Oleander: bye for now ... you too!
Riddle Sideways: ok, see ya soon, bleu
Eden Haiku: How are you doing Adams?
Eliza Madrigal: I have been reading about taoist dreaming path shamanism, so wondered how the two might be connected
Adams Rubble: sorry, was distracted. I am fine
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Ah, I don't know about that specific path Eliza.. . But they are all connected :)
Eliza Madrigal: ^^ true enough!
Eden Haiku: Distrcation is ok on Monday mornings Adams....
Eden Haiku: especially when you are not teaching anymore. Do you miss teaching?
Riddle Sideways: wow! Googling one after the other really made many great urls to add to must read piles
Eliza Madrigal: :))
Adams Rubble: thank you Eden. I am very happy with the things I am doing now
Adams Rubble: very content
Eliza Madrigal: the best thing
Eden Haiku: Ah wonderdul Adams!
Riddle Sideways: great
Riddle Sideways: having enough time to read
Adams Rubble: :)
Eliza Madrigal: http://www.dayuancircle.org/store/class-recordings/dream-series/ the intro talk here is nice...but the others pricey
Eliza Madrigal: so I won't know about those too soon :)
Riddle Sideways: the most interesting title seen was: Stonehenge: Taoist Dream Practice, Shamanic Star and Healing Qigong
Eden Haiku: Thanks for the link Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: that's a full menu Riddle
Riddle Sideways: the article just can't live up to that
Eliza Madrigal: hahah
Eden Haiku: Wow! What a title!
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: It seems shamanic practices developed quite similarly all over the globe and were eradicated by religions and politics. In Siberia, shamans completely stopped playing their drums under the communist regime because they could go to jail for that. Westeners taught them back the practices...
Eliza Madrigal: or I guess whatever form the practices took on then?
Eden Haiku: They started "journeying" with tiny bells attached to their hats I think while under the communist regime.
Eden Haiku: It’s in Michael Harner's book: "The Way of the Shaman. "
Eliza Madrigal: does that make a good audiobook?
Adams Rubble must slip away. bye all :)
Riddle Sideways: for during your gym workouts
Eliza Madrigal: bye Adams, ntsy
Riddle Sideways: by Adams
Eliza Madrigal: yes exactly Riddle
Eliza Madrigal: need things that are nice to listen to a few times... or maybe will join audible
Eden Haiku: I would think so yes. I never finished it though because at some point you have to spend many hours by yourslef in the forest and I never did that yet...
Eliza Madrigal: lots in common with tsk then lol
Riddle Sideways: been audible member since cassette days
Eliza Madrigal: the link I shared is to the person who wrote Dragons Play with Steven, so some overlaps!
Audible audiobooks
Eden Haiku: Beware if you join Audible though. They keep sending you free audiobooks until you noctice you signed up for a membership of 19,99 $ a month...
Riddle Sideways: yep
Eliza Madrigal: that much?
Eliza Madrigal: hmm
Eden Haiku: Yes. I'm still listing to "Cities on Fire" which is a very long book. So I cancelled memebership for now...
Riddle Sideways: not a problem, with a partner here that listens almost 20 hours a day
Eliza Madrigal: omgoodness
Eden Haiku: ah, yes, I see...It's worth it then Riddle.
Eden Haiku: I have to find out if you can rent "a la carte", one book at a time...
Riddle Sideways: she also 'helps' other people use up their credits too
Eliza Madrigal: hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: generous of her
Eden Haiku: Hehe
Eliza Madrigal: I still haven't finished Dr Greger's book
Eliza Madrigal: I was going to see a talk but it turned out to be at the same time as play tickets I'd had for months...right down the street from where he was
Eliza Madrigal: that was a strange miss
Eden Haiku: That one I did finish. But I got tired hearing about cancer on each of my morning walks. By the way I failed for the first time yesterday doing my 10,000 steps. Stopped at 6644 steps...
Eliza Madrigal: oh no...still not bad :)
Riddle Sideways: sad, but wondering if following a 2yr old probably took you way over the 10k
Eden Haiku: But it was my birthday and I was so tired when visitors left I just wanted to sleep...
Eden Haiku: Maybe Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, Happy Birthday :)) I forgot we are close in that...and Storm too
Eden Haiku: Yes Eliza, happy birthday to you, it was last week or so for you wasn't it?
--BELL--
Waking up in a booby trap
Eliza Madrigal: yes mid August
Eliza Madrigal: I woke up in panic and anxiety
Eden Haiku: On that day?
Eliza Madrigal: although I dont 'feel' more stressed than usual
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Riddle Sideways: ?
Eliza Madrigal: my birthday has some subconscious booby trap lol
Eden Haiku: The symbolism of numbers Eliza?
Eden Haiku: A booby trap?
Eliza Madrigal: I think it makes me evaluate, even when I don't want to
Eliza Madrigal: and measure and worry
Eden Haiku: Ah yes!
Eden Haiku: I'm like that too...
Riddle Sideways: hmmm, booby trap probably does not translate well
Eliza Madrigal: lol....just googled and for sure not..haha...
Eden Haiku: I vowed to appreciate myself the way I am on this new year of my life. Enough with self-judgment!
Eliza Madrigal: that's good advice to oneself Eden
Eliza Madrigal: I know self-acceptance would be freeing... but I haven't yet bridged the gap between knowing and really letting that play out
Eden Haiku: :)
Eliza Madrigal: sometimes I think I have
Eden Haiku: Ah, nice :)
Riddle Sideways: so much thinking
Eliza Madrigal nods...
Eden Haiku: Are you self-accepting Riddle?
Eliza Madrigal: aspire to travel lightly, ala Eden :)
Riddle Sideways: depends on the moment
Eden Haiku: I find out most men are :)
Riddle Sideways: don't think it can be a gender thing
Eden Haiku: My grandniece on the hammock with her mother asked her: "Why are you less comfortable than Daddy" And her Mom answered: ¨Daddy is much more used to rest than I am ;)¨
Riddle Sideways: :)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eden Haiku: Yes, sorry Riddle, I don't want to sound sexist :)
Eliza Madrigal: easy to forget to rest
Eliza Madrigal: the most worrying person I know is male, but general anxiety seems to be pervasive with female friends
Eden Haiku: Yes, true. My brother is even worse than me, so...
Eliza Madrigal: looks different on the outside but I wonder if the inner dialogs are roughly the same
Riddle Sideways: probably
Riddle Sideways: feels that way
Finding time for afternoon sessions
Eden Haiku: Eliza, it's hard to imagine I won't be seeing you here on mornings. I will have to attend afternoon sessions then :)
Eden Haiku: And guardian sessions.
Eliza Madrigal smiles, I hope you can. I'm going to miss starting my day this way
Riddle Sideways: yes, need to make room for space in afternoons
Riddle Sideways: which has not happened in weeks
Eliza Madrigal: projects Riddle?
Eden Haiku: Much harder when at the summer house. Outdoors is calling, We are having the most marvelous summer.
Riddle Sideways: a couple that would like to finish and be done
Eliza Madrigal: You do sound happy, Eden :)) it is contagious
Eden Haiku: ah!
Riddle Sideways: some are good (e.g. sit playing music on a friend's porch)
Eliza Madrigal: oh very good!
Eden Haiku: Nice Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: which has been happening on Thursdays
Eliza Madrigal: an important practice
Eden Haiku: Oh, a ritual :)
TSK retreat coming up on September 15th
Eden and Eliza saying goodbyes
Riddle Sideways: hard to pick between TSK session (with the not being read book) and playing music
Eliza Madrigal: haha... yes
Eliza Madrigal: I would recommend looking at end exercises sometime though
Eliza Madrigal: really nice ones
Eden Haiku: Ah Thursdays....
Riddle Sideways: ok, will skip ahead
Riddle Sideways: and backward
Eliza Madrigal: :) that's it!
Eden Haiku: Me too :) When is the retreat date again please?
Riddle Sideways: is a hard read on elipical
Eliza Madrigal: the 'teaching' of the book is gravy
Eliza Madrigal: let me see..... mid september....
Eliza Madrigal: 9/15
Eden Haiku: Ok. Two more weeks then. Will find time for some reading:) 9/15 Thanks.
Eliza Madrigal: probably only time for one or two exercises during the retreatish session....
Eliza Madrigal: would welcome recommendations for which ones :)
Eden Haiku: Ah ok...
--BELL--
Eden Haiku: We would do the exercise on the spot?
Riddle Sideways: ok, but no promises
Eliza Madrigal: yes wouldn't that be fun...a nice way to wrap things up?
Eliza Madrigal: that's where everyone connected
Riddle Sideways: k, need to go
Eliza Madrigal: :) nice to see you Riddle
Riddle Sideways: by All
Eden Haiku: Riddle is walking on the air!!!
Eden Haiku: By Riddle :)
Eliza Madrigal: should go too.... busy day ahead. I'm also going to be on twitter more...
