    --BELL--

"Speak" is a very good book on communicating with Virtual friends
Bruce Mowbray: Before we get started, I'd like to recommend "SPEAK" by Louisa Hall for a good read...
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Ewan.
Ewan Bonham: Wow! nice to see all of you today!
Bruce Mowbray: (Riddle recommended it to me.)
Xirana Oximoxi: hi Ewan, Mick , Rid :)
Riddle Sideways: hey that sounds good, Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: Excellent book.
Ewan Bonham: Bruce, can you tell us a bit about 'Speak'?
    Bruce Mowbray listens.
    Xirana Oximoxi: Hi Tura
    Aphrodite Macbain: listens
Bruce Mowbray: Well, I'd rather save that for later...
Bruce Mowbray: Interrested in your program today, Ewan.
    Ewan Bonham: OK...:)
Riddle Sideways: Aph, would like it, though you've written the paper already
    Tura Brezoianu: hello everyone
    Ewan Bonham: Hello Tura
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Tura.
    Aphrodite Macbain: what paper?
    Bruce Mowbray: Hi, Mick.
    Mickorod Renard: Hi tura
    Ewan Bonham: Hi mick
    Mickorod Renard: Bruce :)
    Mickorod Renard: Ewan

Ewan Bonham: OK, in the interest of time, let's start...
    Bruce Mowbray nods, agrees.
Ewan Bonham: The focus for our sessions is on Mindfulness..
Ewan Bonham: So, whatever we do, apply that concept to our work together..
Ewan Bonham: Let's begin with a Mindfulness warm up..
Ewan Bonham: Take three deep breaths...
Ewan Bonham: Inhale to the count of 5 through your nostrils..
Ewan Bonham: And out to at least a count of five through your slighted parted lips..
Ewan Bonham: As you do so, feel what parts of your body are responding to your breath..
Ewan Bonham: Notice how your body relates to and accommodates your deliberate breathing..
    Ewan Bonham: ... breathing...
Ewan Bonham: Now, fully aware of this experience, let your breath and mind guide you to one spot which you can see here and now...
Ewan Bonham: You can use your camera..
Ewan Bonham: let your awareness float to that spot...
Ewan Bonham: Linger there for a few moments..
Ewan Bonham: good, now ask yourself what drew you to that spot..
Ewan Bonham: What did that sensory travel tell you on a personal level..
Ewan Bonham: Good, as a commentarty, this is one way to bypass your brain and go directly to your heart and guts...
Ewan Bonham: Letting your soul guide you...:)

Ewan Bonham: now, just for the sake of expediency, I will invite each of you to share what this warm up was like for you... and what you may have heard from your mindful inner guide..
Ewan Bonham: I will go first, and then ask for Bruce to share and then around the circle..
Bruce Mowbray: A little light-headed at first with the breathing....
Bruce Mowbray: sry. Go ahead, Ewan.
    Ewan Bonham: :)
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: Breathing in this deliberate manner, always slows me down..
Ewan Bonham: That is a good thing for me as I reflect on how my mind can wander so easily...
Ewan Bonham: That helps me to correct and be present..
Ewan Bonham: When I let my focus wander, my first thought was to go to the fountain.. BUT my heart wanted to go to the tree just to the right of the sitting circle here..
Ewan Bonham: As i zoomed in on it, I felt like a bird..
Ewan Bonham: Sitting on a high branch above it all... with nothing to do but sing majestically..
    Ewan Bonham: Deep breath... done..
    Ewan Bonham: Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: I focused on Bleu's sculpture behind us....[boxes inside of boxes] and thought of how "spirituality" (for me) used to be about "believing this or that..."
Bruce Mowbray: and how much I now prefer spirituality to be a matter of the heart and "guts"
Bruce Mowbray: than some sort of conceptual system of "true ideas" one might subscribe to. [done]
    Bruce Mowbray: Aph?
Ewan Bonham: nice bruce... what a transistion for you..
    Aphrodite Macbain: thanks!
    Ewan Bonham: Aph?
Aphrodite Macbain: My eyes went to the centre of my screen and the fountain
Aphrodite Macbain: I was attracted to the movement and the dancing bubbles sprizzing out. Made me feel happy. :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: done
Ewan Bonham: Yes, dancing and bubbles...:)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Mickorod Renard: my breathing brought me back to myself, instead of all the chatter and clatter of thoughts and external noise.
    Ewan Bonham: Anything else Aph?
    Mickorod Renard: oops. sorry
    Aphrodite Macbain: no, done thanks
Mickorod Renard: I was prepping and sent it by accident
    Aphrodite Macbain: grins
    Bruce Mowbray: np, Mick.
Ewan Bonham: Smile, OK, Mick, you wanted to go next...:)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Mickorod Renard: I could, my apols again
Mickorod Renard: ok,,i will carry on
Mickorod Renard: I was tempted by the fountain
Mickorod Renard: but I fought and went ahead with where I was looking
Mickorod Renard: which was the parting in the curtains looking out into the distance
Mickorod Renard: I presumesd towards the sea as it looked like it went out to the blue horizon
Mickorod Renard: I was aware that i wasnt held back by my body and I could travel externally
Mickorod Renard: i then thought about this and realized i was still in myself
    Mickorod Renard: done
Ewan Bonham: Nice... BUT were you really in your body???
Mickorod Renard: not my projected conciousness
    Ewan Bonham: Nod..
Mickorod Renard: but I guess the mechanism
Ewan Bonham: Xirana... would you like to share next?
Xirana Oximoxi: ok, thank you... :)
Xirana Oximoxi: as I am completly new to Mindfulness this experience has gone a bit too quick for me...I've focused my attention to the fountai, specially the flower for its beauty and then the movement of the sparkling water
Xirana Oximoxi: I've found it refreshing
Xirana Oximoxi: but.. I have felt I could not let emotions or sensations flow naturally, but just trying to think about what reallyI was feeling ...
    Xirana Oximoxi: done :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Ewan Bonham: Glad you could refresh yourself in this manner..
    --BELL--
Riddle Sideways: breathed, slowed down, then became too literal! directions were to pick one spot here and now ".."
Xirana Oximoxi: hehe yes! :) thanks :
Ewan Bonham: Let me just suggest, thinking may get in the way here...:)
Riddle Sideways: so, traveled to the ".." two periods you put on each line
    Ewan Bonham: Thank you Xirana
Xirana Oximoxi: oh! ok...good to know :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Xirana Oximoxi: you're welcome !
Riddle Sideways: to the exclusion of the rest of the text, screen and world
    Ewan Bonham: Ah, Riddle...:)
    Aphrodite Macbain: interesting
    Bruce Mowbray listens carefully
Riddle Sideways: unless you wrote the next line
Riddle Sideways: which gave another set of small dots to focus on
    Riddle Sideways: done
Riddle Sideways: going quickly as the warm up has taken half
Ewan Bonham: Hmmm... reminds me of each step in a journey.... thanks, Riddle ...
Ewan Bonham: Tura, can you share next?
Tura Brezoianu: I chose the edge of the fountain, where the water flows over the flat surface and then down the side.
Tura Brezoianu: When I concentrate on my breathing I always find I want to sit up straight
Tura Brezoianu: as if my whole torso is an open, straight, vertical path from the chair up through my throat and into my head.
Tura Brezoianu: Concentrating on that feeling of alignment
Tura Brezoianu: and being aware of being aware.
    Tura Brezoianu: done
    Ewan Bonham: :)
Ewan Bonham: Yes, aware within awareness...

Ewan Bonham: before we go to the guided imagery, are there any comments, reflections, or identification you want to say to each other?
    Aphrodite Macbain: yes
    Ewan Bonham: Aph, please do
Aphrodite Macbain: I was intrigued by how some people deliberately avoided looking at the fountain!
Aphrodite Macbain: and wondered why they did
    Ewan Bonham: Nod...
    Aphrodite Macbain: or didnt
    Riddle Sideways: :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: done
Ewan Bonham: My reason was ... my inner guide said... that is too easy... and if you are really asking, I want you to go 'here'...
Mickorod Renard: I chose not to for the sake of variety
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
Aphrodite Macbain: so it was a rational thinking choice
Ewan Bonham: For me it was listening to guidance...
Bruce Mowbray: I felt invited into a "longer view" -- of far off things. Not really a choice... more of an intuition.
Mickorod Renard: also, I didnt want to enclose myself by focusing inwards..rather I prefer the freedom of outer
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
Bruce Mowbray: yes, the freedom of the outer. Good, Mick.
    Aphrodite Macbain: thanks
    Ewan Bonham: nice ...
    Ewan Bonham: Any others?
Aphrodite Macbain: I went with the line of least resistance. :-)
Riddle Sideways: nope no forethought, just look at the dots
    Ewan Bonham: Smile..
    Bruce Mowbray: :)

Ewan Bonham: OK... now the guided imagery..
Ewan Bonham: take two deep breaths....
Ewan Bonham: Any thoughts which come into your mind, allow them to float past you like a flock of birds..
Ewan Bonham: now place yourself in your special spot in SL... you know where that is for you..
Ewan Bonham: It is a place very familiar and very comfortable for you...
Ewan Bonham: now, in your mind's eye, look around... see what makes you smile..
Ewan Bonham: Feel the textures of the ground or other things you are sitting upon...
Ewan Bonham: now, notice your breathing as you are in this familiar place..
Ewan Bonham: As you sit quietly, notice any changes in the surroundings..
Ewan Bonham: perhaps as you are feeling differently now that you are 'here'..
Ewan Bonham: What do you notice about yourself and your reception to this special place for you?
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: What will you want to capture and bring forth to other 'places'?
Ewan Bonham: if you could package this place... the scene, the feeings, the joining experience..where would you place it inside of you?
Ewan Bonham: So you can call upon it when you like?
Ewan Bonham: now take these feelings inside of you to that special place where you can call upon them...
Ewan Bonham: Now, come back to the circle here at the Pavilion...
Ewan Bonham: Pull out that spot and all that it holds for you..
    Ewan Bonham: Breath into it..
Ewan Bonham: And let it settle within you right here..
Ewan Bonham: OK... now truly come back here ... and I welcome your sharing what this experience was like for you... and what you took from it.. and into yourself...:)

Bruce Mowbray: My 'special place' is the Garden of Inner Peace, where I go every morning at 7 a.m. for 20 minutes of stillness to begin each day.
Ewan Bonham: Anyone can speak... no particular order and you feel free to reply to each other...done
Bruce Mowbray: I notice others who come for perhaps different reasons. . . callings...
Bruce Mowbray: Being therre helps me to center and prepare for the day ahead.
Bruce Mowbray: The dominant feeling is gratitude.
Mickorod Renard: is that in sl Bruce?
    Bruce Mowbray: and comfort.
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes. in SL.
    Bruce Mowbray: [done]
    Mickorod Renard: cool, ty
Ewan Bonham: nice start to your day... I love to begin in peace sas well..
Mickorod Renard: I dont have a special place,,I only ever come here to the pavillion....however..I did sort of tell myself i have only a small desire..company as we are...and tranquility with peace for the mind
Ewan Bonham: Nod... and you find that here..
Ewan Bonham: Or it finds you?
    Mickorod Renard: yes
    Riddle Sideways: riddle?
Riddle Sideways: the special place ... is up in the sky via a chair
Riddle Sideways: was built and added to for TSK
Riddle Sideways: sitting inside the swirl of color turning slowly and turning
Xirana Oximoxi: I've gone ot my studio's garden where I usually land when I com to SL...I have a couple of peacocks that make me smile as they wander each one to different directions but time to time they are able to meet... I usually come to meet and chat so I'm not fond of any special place but I've found interesting the possibility to take my feelings of a place where I am comfortable inside me..to call it when I like...
Aphrodite Macbain: Have you finished Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: it is a meditation spot and so comfortable and mindful already
Riddle Sideways: it is almost the spot that has existed for years inside a me
Ewan Bonham: Nod... nice... tom 'be' a peacock... so to speak..
Riddle Sideways: it goes to heart
Riddle Sideways: yet it is already parked in a special spot
    Riddle Sideways: thke deep breathes
Ewan Bonham: Yes, my place is a beach..
Riddle Sideways: and walk down a flight of stairs
    Riddle Sideways: done
Ewan Bonham: Where I take in the calm of the waves and tides... like a heartbeat...
    --BELL--
Ewan Bonham: Any others want to share?
Tura Brezoianu: I like empty churches, RL and SL. Sitting and listening to the silence.
    Tura Brezoianu: A church-shaped silence :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Ewan Bonham: Hmmm...
Tura Brezoianu: There's a couple in SL I drop by from time to time.
Aphrodite Macbain: I dont know whether Xiri had finished
Xirana Oximoxi: yes Aph, sorry...done :)
    Aphrodite Macbain: kk :-)
Tura Brezoianu: One is an Orthodox chapel, the other a huge cathedral in the sky.
Ewan Bonham: Thank you all for your presence here..
    Tura Brezoianu: done
Bruce Mowbray: Thank you, Ewan - and everyone.
Aphrodite Macbain: Mine is a cave in the jungle :-)
Xirana Oximoxi: thank you very much ewan for this guides experinces :-)
Ewan Bonham: Together, we become a reflecting pool of our own unity and balance..
    Xirana Oximoxi: nice Aph! :)
Bruce Mowbray listens for more from Aph.
Aphrodite Macbain: It's a place I go with only one person
Ewan Bonham: Thanks, Aph... that sounds like it is peacefull and secluded as well..
    Aphrodite Macbain: It is safe
Ewan Bonham: And a nice place for heart to heart talks?
Aphrodite Macbain: and peaceful and I hear the sounds of birds and rain on leaves
    Aphrodite Macbain: done
    Bruce Mowbray: ty, Aph.
Aphrodite Macbain: sometime talks sometimes hugs

Bruce Mowbray: ty, everyone. I must be off to a RL commitment in a town 25 miles away now.
Ewan Bonham: Smile... OK... hope to see you all again next week...:)
Mickorod Renard: thankuou Ewan,,and everyone else too ..for being here as well
    Aphrodite Macbain: Bye everyone
    Xirana Oximoxi: bye Bruce :)
    Mickorod Renard: bye everyone
    Ewan Bonham: Bye for now..
Tura Brezoianu: thanks Ewan, and everyone
    Ewan Bonham: safe trip Bruce..
Xirana Oximoxi: bye everyone! and thanks to all :)
    Riddle Sideways: by All
