    Eos Amaterasu: I am now living in a much more urban setting, and discovering different kinds of "special spaces, special places"

    Eos Amaterasu: a space that kind of discloses itself, so it suggests a larger space
    Eos Amaterasu: you might want to just be there
    Eden Haiku: Ah...
    Eden Haiku: I have never been in Halifax but I think there is an old part of the city?
    Eos Amaterasu: actually the new public library here has a lot of those qualities
    Eos Amaterasu: yes, down toward the harbour
    Eos Amaterasu: old interspersed with new, but some very special places
    Eden Haiku: Oh yes, I saw the pics you put on Twitter, It looks very nice, with lots of glass and lots of air and views
    Eos Amaterasu: a public space
    Eos Amaterasu: like some of the qualities of this space here
    Eden Haiku: Have you been to the Grande Bibliothèque in Montreal?
    Eos Amaterasu: I think not
    Eos Amaterasu: I was at an old library at McGill
    Eden Haiku: They have something like 7000 visiors a day...A great succes. 10 years now
    Eos Amaterasu: will visit next time
    Eden Haiku: Ah yes, Mc Gill library is very Bristish isn'it?
    Eos Amaterasu: actually it was more of a museum, so not the library
    Eos Amaterasu: I went to an exhibition in Montreal once, "Le Musee Imaginaire de Tintin"
    Eos Amaterasu: still have the poster :-)
    Eden Haiku: I studied there once. Nice place, Mac Gill library. Had an inter-universities card
    Eden Haiku: Ah, missed that one. I love Tintin!

    Eden Haiku: Went to an exhibit at La Defense in Paris about Tintin in Tibet, with beautiful thankas and all sorts of Tibetan artefacts.
    Eos Amaterasu: Yeah, that's an especially good one

    Eden Haiku: Did you read it in English or in French?
    Eos Amaterasu: initially my mom read the French and translated to Polish, then we read French then English
    Eden Haiku: What an intresting way to travel the world of languages with the young reporter!
    Eos Amaterasu: learned all about different cultures (maybe :-)
    Eden Haiku: Indeed! Herge was very precise, did a lot of research.
    Eos Amaterasu: je dirais meme plus
    Eden Haiku: You probably both learnt about Tibet through Herge first. Chogyam Trungpa came later,,,
    Eden Haiku: Ah oui, les Dupond et Dupont!
    Eos Amaterasu: true... he was also a big Tintin fan
    Eos Amaterasu: in fact I gave him a pin from the Musee Imaginaire exhibition
    Eden Haiku: Did you? How sweet!
    Eden Haiku: I had a strange experience when I visited the Tintin exhibit in Paris,
    Eden Haiku: I had done the AValoktishvra initiation with the dalai lama about a year sooner in Montreal
    Eden Haiku: and had no idea how to visualize Avalokiteshvara when he asked us to
    Eden Haiku: so I pictured Manjushri
    Eden Haiku: Then a year later, I was living in Paris
    Eden Haiku: and one morning I hade this urge to go visit La Defense
    Eden Haiku: No idea why
    Eden Haiku: Followed my hunch
    Eden Haiku: And there it was at the Tintin exhibit: an Avalokiteshvara thangka
    Eden Haiku: Took notes
    Eden Haiku: next day I learn through a friend that the Dali Lama was in Paris,,,Had no idea
    Eden Haiku: *Dalai
    Eden Haiku: felt he guided me :)
    Eos Amaterasu: Yes...
    Eden Haiku: End of looong story.
    Eden Haiku: Must be late for you Eos.
    Eos Amaterasu: maybe from Avalokiteshvara to Herge to Tintin to you to Tintin exhibit to Avalokiteshvara....
