Qt Core: lately i've seem many feame avatars wearing early XX century styles (but with how little i go around it may be a too small sample)
Wol Euler: perhaps it's coming back into fashion

Qt Core: sadly i have read less than a third of his work (basically all i found translated in italian) i remember the one that made me laugh the most was Pyramids

Qt Core: these are the book that make me jealous when i see people buying them, thinking about the fun they are going to have ;-)

Wol Euler: the essence of browsing a bookstore is surprise and serendipity
Qt Core: there still are public libraries ;-)
Bleu Oleander: although, some advantages I guess
Bleu Oleander: haven't been to a library in years! sad to say
Wol Euler: I haven't been to the main library here since it moved miles away, several years ago now
Bleu Oleander: but I have purchased many more books as a result

Qt Core: i'm starting going back to the local one since it was just moved to a new wonderful place, i don't even take books, i just love the atmosphere
Wol Euler: really annoying, it's hard to get to now by public transport whereas before I could (and did) walk
Bleu Oleander: yes atmosphere was nice

Bleu Oleander: amazing that an 18 year old girl wrote it in the 1830's

Bleu Oleander: Frankenstein is cleverly framed as narratives within narratives
Wol Euler: I think I read it many years ago and was confused by it
Wol Euler: many decades ago actually
Wol Euler: does it change perspectives often, and is it written partly as letters?
Bleu Oleander: reading it with today's mind is much different for me at least

Yakuzza Lethecus: switching in thought, actually i do wonder why there can´t be a holodeck with all the different pavillions ppl create, having one default of course that makes it in the vote but all possible to rezz at any time, like grass and snow right now
Qt Core: most of history is the history of us/them our/their
Bleu Oleander: yes, like Eos mentioned ... nine of them and coming "home" every nine turns
Qt Core: but... where unrezzed things get stored, how, do they have a cost, if not in prim in "whatever" ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: good question, i kind of thouhgt the owner of the holodecks inventory
Bleu Oleander: not sure how that works either ... like when you go to a place where you can rez different builds ... is it only the rezzed build that counts prim-wise?
Wol Euler: good question, one that we need to answer

Bleu Oleander: learning a lot in this process of PaB change
Yakuzza Lethecus: i always thought it would only the stuff that is rezzed, but never had one either
Bleu Oleander: probably that's right
Bleu Oleander: similar to the sets we stored and rezzed for the molecule theater
Qt Core: (i never imagined SL would try so hard at make things difficoult ;-) )
Bleu Oleander: could do the same with pavilion like builds
Bleu Oleander: very difficult and not much help on some of these issues we are finding
Bleu Oleander: depending on the prim counts, could have several builds stacked above to use as well
Bleu Oleander: I have 4 levels of builds on a smaller piece of property then the proposed group land size
Bleu Oleander: you can have a look to see what's possible ... I haven't even used up all my alloted prims!
Qt Core: and having levels a few hundreds meters apart one would not even notice
Bleu Oleander: that's right
Bleu Oleander: mine are at 300, 350 and 400 meters up

Qt Core: speaking about interesting books i lately had a rough start but loved it in the end with "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" by Haruki Muramaki
