The Guardian for this meeting was Bruce Mowbray. The comments are by Bruce Mowbray.

    Bruce Mowbray: Heya, Qt!
Bruce Mowbray: How ya doin' ?
    Qt Core: Hi Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Are you planning to be at the meeting at 2 p.m. slt at the Village Hall?
Bruce Mowbray: And, if so, did you get the note card?
Qt Core: Quite good (sadly I could not stay for the guardian meeting (maybe i can come at 2:30 or such)
    Bruce Mowbray: okay very well.
Bruce Mowbray: if you did not receive the note card let me give you one right now.
    Qt Core: got it now
    Bruce Mowbray: TY!
Bruce Mowbray: I hope I'm not being too pushy, but recent emails have been rather chaotic and coming much faster that I'm able to absorb...
Bruce Mowbray: so I thought I'd take the mad cow by the horns, as it were, and try to bring a little order to the discussion.
Qt Core: like the idea, i would sit so high I'll need a balloon
    Qt Core: ;-)
    Bruce Mowbray: HA HA!
Bruce Mowbray: I'm sure there will be plenty of balloons available!
Bruce Mowbray: This one is an antique.. (Bruce has a PaB balloon from 2008.)
Bruce Mowbray: and how rare is it to find an antique balloon?

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: Were you able to see the solar eclipse??!
Qt Core: time to go to the warmer months attire ;-) then maybe i could wear the pab t-shirt without my midriff being exposed ;-)
    Bruce Mowbray: Good thinking!
Bruce Mowbray: (I also have a midriff that could use hiding.)
Qt Core: no, at the time i was in a mall doing some shopping and then there was some cloud, it could be seen but i had a busy day
Bruce Mowbray: I am envious of the folks in Scotland who got to see the eclipse --- from the Isle of Skye.
Bruce Mowbray: that sounds downright enchanting to me.
    Bruce Mowbray: nods.
Qt Core: yes, it is something that even if you know the whys and the becauses would still hit you
Bruce Mowbray: remembers the time that his typist was on a long hike, and in some town doing laundry at the time of and eclipse (1994) -- and stepped outside the laundromat to find it suddenly dark outside -- at midday.
Bruce Mowbray: was able to see the actual eclipse through the shadows cast by a maple tree's leaves onto the sidewalk.
Bruce Mowbray: lunar eclipses are much more common, of course....
Bruce Mowbray: those are clearly visible from the farm, if it's not too cloudy.
Qt Core: there will be one in late September if i remember it right
    Bruce Mowbray: solar or lunar?
    Qt Core: lunar
    Bruce Mowbray: ahh.
Bruce Mowbray: lunar eclipses appear everywhere on earth, don't they -- I mean at the same time?
Bruce Mowbray: although solar eclipses are far more localized.
Bruce Mowbray ponders whether lunar eclipses could be a globalizing influence....
Qt Core: happening by night when little happening i doubt,
    Bruce Mowbray nods.
Bruce Mowbray: but at least it is a cosmic event that all human inhabitants of planet Earth could identify with....
Bruce Mowbray: something to share, perhaps.
Qt Core: they could not be used as a celestial threat
    Bruce Mowbray nods.
Bruce Mowbray: Allah has given the moon to US exclusively!! No! Jesus has given the moon to US exclusively!!! no! The Buddha has given the moon to US exclusively!!!!
Bruce Mowbray: the madness in such claims would be obvious, wouldn't it?
Qt Core: ahh, it works with these pants!
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes, most aesthetically!
Bruce Mowbray: and no midriff, either!
Bruce Mowbray: Black works with just about any color pants - - - even plaid ones, I'd suppose.
Bruce Mowbray: Black even works with black pants . . . !
Qt Core: wearing black has not so nice undertones, in Italy, especially shirts as black shirt was the fascist uniform
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhh!
Bruce Mowbray: and now I think black is the adopted color for ISIS.
Bruce Mowbray: I know that their flag is black . . . and that their facemasks are also black.
Bruce Mowbray: I feel that black gets a bad rap.
Bruce Mowbray: After all, black is simply the absence of light . . . and the absence of light enables us to appreciate all the other colors.
Qt Core: it lessens every year and if the style is obviously different, but it was the reason my mother refused to make me wear a black overall (unofficial uniform) at the school i went when 10
Bruce Mowbray: I think your mother was wise.
Qt Core: (so i was the only kid with a blue one)
Bruce Mowbray: but I hope she didn't insist that you wear pink pants....
Bruce Mowbray: Do you actually remember Mussolini?
Qt Core: hem.... i was born some 30 years after his death
    Bruce Mowbray: hmmmm.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist was born in 1942 - - - right in the middle of that mess, but fortunately not the geographic middle, only the temporal middle.

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: Believe it or not, my typist feels that he had a previous life as a Nazi soldier.
Bruce Mowbray: ... and that "fact" has supposedly been confirmed by two psychic readers.
Bruce Mowbray: Sometimes I think my typist is crazy, actually.
Qt Core: someone that took no rest between lives
    Bruce Mowbray: very little rest...
Bruce Mowbray: out of one and popped straight into another.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist even claims to know that soldiers name ("Kurt") and details of his death.... at a very young age.
    Bruce Mowbray: Bleu!
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome!
    Bleu Oleander: hi y'all
Bruce Mowbray: Did you get my notecard about the meeting, Bleu?
    Bleu Oleander: notecard?
Qt Core: never seriously thought about my (if any/existing) previous life, unsure if i'd like to know
Bruce Mowbray: I shall give you one. Just a sec, please.
Bleu Oleander: saw an email (s)
    Bruce Mowbray: There you are.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, I sent it in email, also in in-world notice.
Bleu Oleander: ah yes same thing
Bruce Mowbray: I don't want to come off as a fascist. I'm just hoping for an orderly meeting.
Bruce Mowbray: yes, the same thing.
Bleu Oleander: a little intense :)
Bruce Mowbray: I think that you may be one of the most informed participants.
    Bruce Mowbray: really, intense?
Bleu Oleander intends just to listen
Bleu Oleander: I suspect it's still about the money?
Bruce Mowbray: I tried to explain my reasoning as well as I could.... and the flurry of contradictory emails that took place in the past 24 hours caused me to feel that some form of civility/discipline was necessary.
Bleu Oleander: I'm looking forward to other topics
Bruce Mowbray: I have no idea what it's about.... that, I feel, is one of the reasons we need a meeting today.
Bleu Oleander: I think it's ok for people to express their feelings now
Bruce Mowbray: I agree, and I want to give everyone an opportunity to do that.
Bleu Oleander: no need to close off discussion
Bleu Oleander: now is the time before we lose the land
Bruce Mowbray: absolutely no reason to close off discussion, except that every voice deserves to be heard.
Bruce Mowbray: yes, before we close the land.
Bleu Oleander: I think there has been a lot of room in the emails
Bleu Oleander: not enough people are speaking there
Bruce Mowbray: I also appreciate the emails, but some of them seem to contradict each other.....
Bleu Oleander: in sl it gets difficult
    Bleu Oleander: contradict?
Bruce Mowbray: one person wants open disclosure in order to produce a budget - - but at the same time does not want to disclose his/her donation amount.
Bruce Mowbray: that sort of thing.
Bruce Mowbray: How are we going to do a budget unless we know what the income and outgo of monies are?
Bleu Oleander: I'm not sure what the big deal is ... not exactly high finances lol
Bruce Mowbray: I don't understand it either, actually.
Bleu Oleander: well, need to know what we want first
Bruce Mowbray: but some people prefer confidentiality . . . and I respect that.
Bleu Oleander: I don't think we should lead with the money
    Bruce Mowbray: I agree.
Bruce Mowbray: but others disagree with us - thinking money needs to be settled first.
Bleu Oleander: who needs to be confidential about $2.50?
    Bruce Mowbray: agreed.
Bleu Oleander: seems a bit silly to moi
    Bleu Oleander: but whatever
Bruce Mowbray: I am really hoping that Wol will bring clarity to the discussion -- especially about money.
Bleu Oleander: I'm not in the land group ... preferring to contribute in other ways
Bruce Mowbray: I didn't even understand what the "land group" was until yesterday afternoon.
Bruce Mowbray: and if I am that much in the dark and I can only imagine what others might be.
Bleu Oleander: everyone is discussing in the regular emails so not sure why we needed the "secret" group :)
    Bruce Mowbray: yes, I agree.
Bleu Oleander: would be much better if people could see that others are participating
Bruce Mowbray: perhaps the idea of the "secret" group was so that people could keep the money issue confidential.
Bleu Oleander: keep the interest up
    Bruce Mowbray nods, agrees.
Qt Core: maybe we needed a more different name for the second mailing list so there would be no confusion ;-)
Bleu Oleander: this way to those not in the group it seems nothing is happening
Bruce Mowbray: I had assumed that the word "land" was referring to individuals who had actual plots in either Bieup or Mieum.
Bleu Oleander: it seems its difficult for some to even get in the group
    Bleu Oleander: I couldn't
    Bruce Mowbray: I know!
Bruce Mowbray: I don't think I could get in either, but I didn't realize that . . . I did not know until yesterday that I was not receiving any emails whatsoever from the land group.
Bleu Oleander: why does the money need to be confidential when everyone is talking about it in the main email group?
Qt Core: if it had to be private there would be no need, there should have been only communication with the one that would managing the money
Bruce Mowbray: I know. I know!
Bleu Oleander: we're talking about such small amounts :)

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: yes, up to or less than five dollars a month... but different strokes for different folks, huh?
    Bleu Oleander: I guess, sighs
Bleu Oleander: I'm paying more than that for my plot and everyone knows that hehe
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Bleu Oleander: sorry
Bruce Mowbray: but I still have five or 10 minutes here.
Qt Core: (speaking of the eclipse, some pics from a nearby park initiative to see it: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Parco...=photos_stream  )
    Bruce Mowbray: ty, Qt!
    Bleu Oleander: brb
Bruce Mowbray: but I also feel that I need to run along now and get ready for the meeting that will be held at the top of the hour.
Bruce Mowbray: thank you all for being here.
Qt Core: I need to go, i may or may not join after
    Bruce Mowbray: bye for now!
    Bleu Oleander: thanks Bruce
    Qt Core: bye all
    Bleu Oleander: bye all
