Dash Earthboy: ya I like RHEL or Debian mostly
Dash Earthboy: but I run Ubuntu on this XP system as a service
Agatha Macbeth: Linux doesn't keep crashing its drivers like Windoze

Qt Core: suse for work, ubuntu at home

Agatha Macbeth: Well, my excuse is I used an A4000 for years

Qt Core: i never had problems with 4 in my desk (even if vista see only 3.5 ;-) )
Dash Earthboy: makes a difference when you're running a few virtual machines on Vista
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, Vista probably would...
Qt Core: oh, yes, that could help then, if you are able to make Vista see all of them

Dash Earthboy: most laptops let you adjust how much memory you allot for video/graphics...at least PCs

Qt Core: as many of them use the same ram you have on the mb for both the cpu and the graphic card
Dash Earthboy: i set mine on 128M
Dash Earthboy: and give my virtual machines about 16M of the video RAM each

Dash Earthboy: VMware has made it easy to run VMs as clients in Vista Home ;)
Dash Earthboy: it's something called Unity
Dash Earthboy: the XP programs show up on my Vista taskbar just like Vista apps
Qt Core: (thinks we are starting boring both the avs and the log reader now)
