The Guardian for this meeting was SophiaSharon Larnia. The comments are by SophiaSharon Larnia. Imagine my surprise when I saw I was on the monthly list of unposted logs, Ack! Sorry for the delay. I thought I did post this but must not have clicked ‘save’, or exited too quickly…
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Eliza :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sharon :))
Eliza Madrigal: I * think * that I managed to add a note to my exhibit.. yay
SophiaSharon Larnia: :))
SophiaSharon Larnia: I've been trying to get a picture there for a week
SophiaSharon Larnia: I haven't even seen them yet
Eliza Madrigal: Life has gotten busy for you, I've noticed
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
SophiaSharon Larnia: thank god
SophiaSharon Larnia: hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: Yes? Are you happy? Working?
SophiaSharon Larnia: not working yet
SophiaSharon Larnia: but been busy
SophiaSharon Larnia: feel most myself when I'm busy doing things
Eliza Madrigal: ooh now I'm very curious
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: nothing to really talk about, not here :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Pearl :)
Eliza Madrigal smiles... perfectly fine... just curious of course
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Pearl :)
Eliza Madrigal: Lovely name
SophiaSharon Larnia: whoops thought they were closer
Eliza Madrigal is changing to coordinate with sharon but not happy with SL's lag in between costume changes... haha
SophiaSharon Larnia: ah!! I'm on a computer with a poor graphic card set on low, couldnt see anyway :(
Eliza Madrigal: hehe
Eliza Madrigal: In any event, happy to hear that life has gotten active and that you feel content in that
SophiaSharon Larnia: in fact, cant see if my avatar is covered at all, i see some in the back so I guess i am :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: Oh no... very cute pony tail still and a kind of French corset dress,,,,
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes strangely content, why would that be? think in some way related to not an extended period of time dedicated to just thinking
SophiaSharon Larnia: thanks Eliza ^^
Eliza Madrigal: mm, maybe incubation and integration time
SophiaSharon Larnia: how long do things need to incubate, is there a formula? :D
Eliza Madrigal: we can take so much 'in' some times
Eliza Madrigal: hahah
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Eliza Madrigal: haha, if there is I'm not the one who'd have it
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not typing btw... just eliza
SophiaSharon Larnia: wonders if its a myth
Eliza Madrigal: a myth?
SophiaSharon Larnia: the idea that personal growth type of things constant need to undergo this cycle
SophiaSharon Larnia: sorry big time lag here :)
--BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: letting go of the notion that anything needs to be thought about, that anything needs to be done
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: My feeling is that well.. there does seem to be a process if one observes, though no, maybe not 'necessary'
Eliza Madrigal: earth life certainly does seem to be cyclical though...
Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, love the hot pink hat!
Eliza Madrigal: but yes, that one matches better :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i cant see it to adjust its position, please pretend its on right hahahha
Eliza Madrigal: It does seem right
Eliza Madrigal: but then that is me seeing it
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, gee... we should skip and go shopping... hahahah
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :) indeed show me where you get your cute dresses
Eliza Madrigal: (kidding but sometimes I forget all the cute possibilities in SL)
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, the thing is I found most of these quite a while ago...
Eliza Madrigal: so not sure if the shops are still around. I think this one came from the Titanic :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oooh that is old then :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes :)
Eliza Madrigal: but still looks brand new!
Eliza Madrigal: I've taken very good care of it...
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: hahha hung it up nicely after wearing, rather then on the back of a chair, eh?
Eliza Madrigal: yes, and didn't hang it on the treadmill either
SophiaSharon Larnia: ha!! yes
Eliza Madrigal: where the rest of my laundry goes
Eliza Madrigal: hahh
SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Eliza Madrigal: Actually, I'm not so bad in that regard, but I well know the potential
SophiaSharon Larnia: I dont think its a period of integration, for me
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes me too, you have to chase yourself like a kid sometimes
Eliza Madrigal: You don't feel that anything changed in the rest?
Eliza Madrigal: period of rest I mean?
SophiaSharon Larnia: rest and me dont seem to get along well
SophiaSharon Larnia: too much time to allow sadness to creep in
Eliza Madrigal: Oh :(
SophiaSharon Larnia: im haunted enough as it is, as are many
SophiaSharon Larnia: without indulging
Eliza Madrigal: That can be part of integration though... don't you think...
Eliza Madrigal: I often cry out of nowhere at the strangest, most restful times when feeling 'just fine'...
Eliza Madrigal: seems like a process
SophiaSharon Larnia: havent felt like crying, just bored myself :) hahaha
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i entertained myself as long as able LOL
Eliza Madrigal: Well, glad that you find something letting you to work out...
Eliza Madrigal: that's integration too... why not :)
Eliza Madrigal: haha
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, ive been thinking off and on for a while now this letting yourself be seen thing.
Eliza Madrigal listens
SophiaSharon Larnia: and its thought and discussion provoking to contemplate
SophiaSharon Larnia: but quite another to live it
Eliza Madrigal: agreed
Eliza Madrigal: Did you feel it unearthed things you didn't know how to deal with?
SophiaSharon Larnia: so have a choice, can stay in discussions, which is fun camaraderie, or turn off the computer and live it
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I see
SophiaSharon Larnia: not anymore, that I saw what was unearthed
--BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: at first, until i took a closer look
Eliza Madrigal: I'm listening... not quite understanding, but listening...
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats ok I dont really understand either
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: :D
Eliza Madrigal: I consider discussions a kind of ground work too... gardening. Somehow it often feels to me as real as plunging hands into the earth....
SophiaSharon Larnia: of course :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: its fun
Eliza Madrigal: and rather crucial... in a way.. it is a way of being seen by others....
Eliza Madrigal: not just what one is wearing on the outside, but what is 'going on'
Eliza Madrigal: and being seen by oneself, in pab with logs .. haha
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, i know what you mean
Eliza Madrigal: and then surprises when no 'one' is seen.. and there seems something different that comes from 'group'...
Eliza Madrigal: funny to describe. Still, there are times to drop the computer, I agree :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: interesting
SophiaSharon Larnia: I'm not sure i understand the one and group distinction
Eliza Madrigal: hm... suppose it is like pattern play...
Eliza Madrigal: when it seems 'the group' is working on something...
Eliza Madrigal: but maybe not seeing that until reading in retrospect
Eliza Madrigal: but of course that could be just a diversion too...
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: much in my experience is like that
Eliza Madrigal: Important to see
SophiaSharon Larnia: often miss the fullness of an event until is passes
Eliza Madrigal: Do you feel like that is in RL too or SL?
SophiaSharon Larnia: im sorry, do I feel what is?
Eliza Madrigal: diversion...
Eliza Madrigal: I'm on a time delay too, btw. If that's what you mean by missing the fullness til it passes...
Eliza Madrigal: :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: Im still not certain that I have your meaning, but i think that what I was trying to say before, was that so much seems like a diversion
Eliza Madrigal nods
Eliza Madrigal: don't you think this has much to do with not working recently though?
SophiaSharon Larnia: discussion, etc, and no, i meant the fullness of experience until ive thought about it after it happens
Eliza Madrigal: the proportions seem off?
Eliza Madrigal: Ah
SophiaSharon Larnia: of course, there was a total lack of engagement in anything
Eliza Madrigal: Don't you think that 'seeing this' is significant?
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, i know now that i will not retire well hahahaha
Eliza Madrigal: :) not sure what to say to that... hah
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Eliza Madrigal: A few days ago I started trimming down activities...
Eliza Madrigal: realizing I couldn't keep up with everything 'well'
Eliza Madrigal: well, weeks ago really but it didn't kick in for a while :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I think you keep yourself extremely busy
SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
Eliza Madrigal: yes... but there are methods behind the madness :)
Eliza Madrigal: usually
Eliza Madrigal: hahahah
--BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, you are extremely efficient
Eliza Madrigal: appears so I guess
Eliza Madrigal: Sl has been a tool for me to face things I put off for a very long time
SophiaSharon Larnia: and sl is a tool that I could continue to do so
Eliza Madrigal: that's the sort of thing hard to tell in this context I think... how much the 'work' of it... the busywork and the checking up on things...
Eliza Madrigal: has made way for
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Eliza Madrigal: When I worry that I 'can't' drop it though, I have to
SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Selene :)
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Selene :)
Eliza Madrigal: You have a powerful radar
Eliza Madrigal: heheh
SophiaSharon Larnia: nah :)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, you are here!
Eliza Madrigal: Hi :))
SophiaSharon Larnia: you are a cloud to us, I think, Selene, but you are more than welcome to join us :)
Eliza Madrigal: Nice to see you Selene
SophiaSharon Larnia: have you been here before Selene?
Eliza Madrigal: Ah, I see you now
SophiaSharon Larnia: poof, ta da :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, Selene was talking, if I remember correctly, about Blumenberg... which was a neat conversation
Eliza Madrigal: I'd never heard of him
SophiaSharon Larnia: ah ok great (cause i stink at intros ^^)
SophiaSharon Larnia: hehe
Selene Northman: yes, one of my favourite philosophers :)
Eliza Madrigal guffaws and hugs Sharon
SophiaSharon Larnia: :P
Eliza Madrigal: I would really love to hear more about that if you're up to it Selene...
SophiaSharon Larnia: hugs back
Eliza Madrigal: I sort of heard it as a relative/absolute conversation, but you corrected me that it was more about the navigator
Eliza Madrigal: :) @ Sharon
Selene Northman: its about two positions,, one is the navigator the other one is the spectator
Selene Northman: because everybody of us is a spectator as well, we can watch when other people shipwreck
Eliza Madrigal: seems distanced...
SophiaSharon Larnia: including ourselves?
Selene Northman: but then there s an event when the spectator starts loosing its position
Eliza Madrigal: mmm...
Selene Northman: yes, we are both
Eliza Madrigal: simultaneously?
SophiaSharon Larnia: imagines myself watching myself shipwreck and not finding it a stretch
Selene Northman: the spectator won´t remain unattached by the things he watched
Eliza Madrigal: ((( Sharon )))
SophiaSharon Larnia: laughs
Eliza Madrigal: I feel this distance sometime... my grandfather used to call it a 'saving people thing'
Selene Northman: not sure yet, Eliza... I guess not. I mean you can stand in the harbor and watching people on the cruise... for instance
Selene Northman: yes...
Selene Northman: its a distance if you are observing
Eliza Madrigal: but you can't navigate for someone 'else' can you?
Eliza Madrigal: And if you are navigating can't see the storm in the distance?
Selene Northman: no you are steering your life vessel
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh i see what you meant by relative and absolute connection now
Selene Northman: well you can see the storm and try to rescue yourself.... but sometimes there are shallows you can´t see and then you might experience shipwreck
Eliza Madrigal: and if so?
Selene Northman: it depends ,usually you find some relics of your ship you can save yourself upon
Selene Northman: and try to repair it
Eliza Madrigal: Sounds like something from dreaming...
SophiaSharon Larnia: sadly can not google on this comp without crashing :(
Selene Northman: if not the waves will collide above you. and there will be tranquility
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, but later perhaps... blumenberg is a memorable name, especially since you're close to NY
Eliza Madrigal: ;-D
SophiaSharon Larnia: it seems to take a fairly passive view of this spectator, is it always so
Selene Northman: no he is an active viewer
Eliza Madrigal: yes I wonder... How so?
--BELL--
Selene Northman: he is capable of analyzing what he sees
SophiaSharon Larnia: how would he communicate this to his self :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: (not a challenge, Selene, jus thinking :D)
Selene Northman smiles
Eliza Madrigal: yes its like a puzzle
Selene Northman: okay folks I got to leave now, please take care. Bye Bye :)
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Selene... nice to see you
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Selene
SophiaSharon Larnia: I am soo sleepy, I need to go to bed soon :D
Eliza Madrigal: I keep trying to stretch the boat story into the relative / absolute... non-duality discussion...
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes i see it that way too, why I wanted to read more
SophiaSharon Larnia: to see why it was different direction :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes.. maybe she'll continue some day
Eliza Madrigal: the wiki tells a little about him but not much
SophiaSharon Larnia: i hope so :))
SophiaSharon Larnia: i see, I'll check later
SophiaSharon Larnia: good night (((Eliza)))
SophiaSharon Larnia: b4n
Eliza Madrigal: Okay, let me let you rest... Night ((( Sharon ))))
SophiaSharon Larnia: :))
