I chose to paste the beginning of the session in which we discuss SL viewers and glitches, at the end, in order to highlight Art of Being Happiness, discussion of the Boundaries session to take place today, and the beginnings of ideas for PaB's upcoming 4th anniversary. :)

Aphrodite Macbain: The purpose of having boundaries is to protect and take care of ourselves. We need to be able to tell other people when they are acting in ways that are not acceptable to us. A first step is starting to know that we have a right to protect and defend ourselves. It is said that we have not only the right, but the duty to take responsibility for how we allow others to treat us.
However, does the establishment of personal boundaries close us off, shut down an open mind and stop us from being flexible and sensitive to the needs of others? When does a boundary become a barrier? When do we allow ourselves lower the wall and listen to things we don't want to hear?

Maxine Walden: discriminating care for me suggests attentiveness which in itself is a kind of mental boundary forming element; circumscribes a space in which one 'feels' care and concern for one's thought

Eliza (eliza.madrigal): within that attentiveness then it would seem the actual content is secondary, maxine? So perhaps no particular topic out of bounds?
Aphrodite Macbain: Perhaps we need to re-think PaB's boundaries for communication?
Maxine Walden: perhaps prudence and judgment as to what is informing and what would be inflaming would be part of attentiveness; sensitivity to likely consequences might be a part of attentiveness

Aphrodite Macbain: I am wondering whether there is a need by people who attend the sessions at the Pavilion, for a conclusion or summing up of what has been discussed.
