    Bleu Oleander: hiya Louis
    Louis Onyett: Howdy Bleu. :)
Bleu Oleander: how was your week?
Louis Onyett: Interesting. Have to get ready for winter...finally.
    Louis Onyett: And yours?
    Bleu Oleander: snow yet?
Bleu Oleander: its still in the 90's here
Louis Onyett: Could be within a week or so. Just frost now.
    Louis Onyett: 90s are nice.
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Louis Onyett: 100s get a little too hot
    Bleu Oleander: beautiful cool mornings/evenings
    Louis Onyett: Yes, same here.
Louis Onyett: mid to upper 60s in the day. Upper 20s at night.
    Bleu Oleander: nice!
Louis Onyett: So, did you do anything extra fun last week?
    Bleu Oleander: yes actually
Bleu Oleander: took our group to La Jolla
Bleu Oleander: for a series of conversations with some very interesting people
Bleu Oleander: met a shark expert
Bleu Oleander: seems a group of leopard sharks likes La Jolla
    --BELL--

Bleu Oleander: we also visited Scripps Institution of Oceanography
Bleu Oleander: saw a lot of preserved species of fish!
    Louis Onyett: Cool!
Bleu Oleander: had a couple of great conversations with neuroscientists
Louis Onyett: My younger Bro lives in that area.
    Bleu Oleander: in La Jolla?
    Louis Onyett: Yep.
Bleu Oleander: lovely place to live i'm sure
Bleu Oleander: what does he do there?
Louis Onyett: For sure, great when I get to visit him.
Louis Onyett: He does work in Aerospace
    Bleu Oleander: cool
Louis Onyett: For sure. He got his Masters in EE from Stanford
Louis Onyett: The PhD from UCSD.
    Bleu Oleander: very nice!
Louis Onyett: UCSD is a nice campus.
    Bleu Oleander: great campus
Bleu Oleander: would have enjoyed going there
    Bleu Oleander: hi Adams
Adams Rubble: Hello Bleu and Louis :)
Bleu Oleander: we were just talking about La Jolla
    Louis Onyett: Hello
Bleu Oleander: we took our group there this week
    Adams Rubble: :)
Bleu Oleander: will probably do NYC next spring
Louis Onyett: I have never made it out much when in NYC. Airport, mostly.
Louis Onyett: Hear it is fun.
Bleu Oleander: the best city ever!
Bleu Oleander: (spoken like a native haha)
    Adams Rubble: :)
Louis Onyett: And, natural follow up question, why no longer in NYC?
    Bleu Oleander: good question!
Bleu Oleander: somehow worked my way west and stayed :)
Louis Onyett: Fair enough. Work usually has something to do with it.
Bleu Oleander: but we do get back at least once a year
    Louis Onyett: Yay!
Louis Onyett: Visiting is always fun.
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: my whole family is there ... so fun indeed
Louis Onyett: Yep, family get togethers are awesome.
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
Bleu Oleander: our theme is "timelessness" ... any ideas?
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Bleu Oleander: kinda big topic
    Louis Onyett: Clocks keep running
Adams Rubble: The place where we realize we are connected to the cosmos?
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Bleu Oleander: what does it mean to be timeless?
Adams Rubble: Someone said we are not aging but just unfolding
    Adams Rubble: (like a flower?)
Bleu Oleander: nice way to put it!
Louis Onyett: Very interesting way to look at it....if we remove ourselves from linear time
Louis Onyett: And see life all at once-there are just different stages
Louis Onyett: We can easily see backwards and earlier stages...forward is harder
Louis Onyett: But we know it is there none the less
Louis Onyett: Just as real as a memory yet to be made
Adams Rubble: Thich Nhat Hanh says the future is in the present
Adams Rubble: if we are not happy and compassionate in the present, we can not be in the future
Bleu Oleander: hmmmm so we can't change?
Adams Rubble: we can change in the present :)
    --BELL--

Louis Onyett: Change is ever present. :)

Adams Rubble: Steven Tainer used to talk about the energy in the moment when he was here
    Bleu Oleander: hiya steve
Louis Onyett: Does freeing oneself from the notion of time help us grow more?
Adams Rubble: That in any moment we have the chance to grab positive or negative energy and take it into the next moment
    Bleu Oleander: interesting question Louis
stevenaia Michinaga: waves and good morning
    Adams Rubble: Hello Stevenaia :)
Louis Onyett: I choose positive then. :D
    Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: so often we forget
    Louis Onyett: Hi Stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: hi Louis, Adams, Bleu
Adams Rubble takes off her watch in reponse to Louis' question
    Louis Onyett: <<realizes back="" forgot="" he="" his="" put="" to=""> Adams Rubble: :)
Bleu Oleander: interesting ... the pause bells here mark off time
Bleu Oleander: time is even in the pauses
    Louis Onyett: Indeed
Adams Rubble: we are not focused on those segments here though
    stevenaia Michinaga: even?
Louis Onyett: Yet, removed from time, we can just see all 4 will and did happen
Adams Rubble: at leats until the last one :)
    Adams Rubble: least
    stevenaia Michinaga: even but slower
    Bleu Oleander: sometimes faster
    Louis Onyett: Of course, relative.
stevenaia Michinaga: even but faster , the mind left to it's own
Bleu Oleander: time moves slower for me by the ocean
Bleu Oleander: (was in La Jolla this week steve)
Louis Onyett: Moves really slow when doing laundry...
    Louis Onyett: sigh
    Bleu Oleander: ha ha!
stevenaia Michinaga: what was going on there, Bleu, work, play?
    stevenaia Michinaga: both
    Bleu Oleander: both
Bleu Oleander: took our group there
    stevenaia Michinaga: nice
Bleu Oleander: was a great trip!
    stevenaia Michinaga: quite the schedule
    Bleu Oleander: indeed!
Bleu Oleander: my mind is still processing!
Louis Onyett: Ah man, now I am remembering when my brother had an apartment in walking distance to UCSD
    Louis Onyett: And, the ocean.
    Bleu Oleander: nice
Louis Onyett: Thinking I need to go to CA soon.
    Louis Onyett: lol
    Bleu Oleander: good idea :)
stevenaia Michinaga: Did you visit the Salk Institute?
Bleu Oleander: not on this trip, but yes on past ones
    Bleu Oleander: cool place!
    Louis Onyett: brb
    Bleu Oleander: love the architecture
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: we focused on Scripps and UCSD

stevenaia Michinaga: why do you thing the sence of time is relative depending where we are and what we do, considering how long humanity has "been with time" you would thing there would be a better alignment of the two
    stevenaia Michinaga: *think
stevenaia Michinaga: have we mastered time?
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Adams Rubble: good question
Bleu Oleander: considering how long we've had minds .... it a wonder that we even align much of anything lol
Adams Rubble: we all have to learn again anad again for some reason
    stevenaia Michinaga: lol
    stevenaia Michinaga: learned and relearned?
stevenaia Michinaga: trying to get it right
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Bleu Oleander: time is malleable
Adams Rubble: up to each of us to get it right for ourselves and then help others
Bleu Oleander: our sense of time can be manipulated
Bleu Oleander: as all our senses can
Adams Rubble: living in the moment
Bleu Oleander: seems its easy to trick a mind :)
Adams Rubble: our crazy monket minds
    Adams Rubble: monkey
Adams Rubble: throw them a banana
Bleu Oleander: crazy human minds lol
Bleu Oleander: monkeys seem to have gotten it right for them
Adams Rubble: species always look righter on the other side of the fence :)
stevenaia Michinaga: the (other) species always looks greener?
Bleu Oleander: species ... interesting concept
    Bleu Oleander: us vs. them
Adams Rubble: if the other species is a frog Steve, yes
Louis Onyett: If only, we cannot seem to get 'us' right
stevenaia Michinaga: will all the languages we have mastered, it's about time we understood what the other's are thinking
    Adams Rubble: yes
Louis Onyett: Umm, well half of us are still confused by the other
    Louis Onyett: lol
    stevenaia Michinaga: *with
Adams Rubble: we all are united with common apirations to happiness
Bleu Oleander: we had a peek at the vertebrate collection at Scripps ... so many different species
Bleu Oleander: thousands just off shore in CA alone
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, and they all have the same goal, to continue
    Adams Rubble: :)
    Bleu Oleander: living is good
    Adams Rubble: it is enough
    --BELL--

Louis Onyett: Perhaps truth can equal timelessness

    Bleu Oleander: what is truth?
Bleu Oleander: truth is something we become certain of?
stevenaia Michinaga: yet ignorance of such seems rampant at times
stevenaia Michinaga: it can be perplexing
Louis Onyett: "Living is good" = a truth
stevenaia Michinaga: if truth was so clear , it should be easy to see
Adams Rubble: truth can be one of those words people fight over
    Bleu Oleander: "truthiness"
    Adams Rubble: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps truth is a quality of ownership in the end
Louis Onyett: "Arguing can be fun" = another truth?
    Bleu Oleander: lol
Louis Onyett: Interesting, truth is a concept different then time
Louis Onyett: Time has physical meaning, rules, truth not so
    Adams Rubble: yes
Bleu Oleander: how is truth created?
    Adams Rubble: there is knowledge
Bleu Oleander: in the physical brain?
stevenaia Michinaga: not sure time has physical meaning
Louis Onyett: Is truth created, or has it always been?
    Bleu Oleander: squishy concepts :)
    Louis Onyett: true enough. :D
Bleu Oleander: how would we know if something had always been?
Louis Onyett: Well, timelessness for a start. (giggle)
    Bleu Oleander: ha ha!
    Adams Rubble: :)
Bleu Oleander: its a new concept though, relatively
    Louis Onyett: its?
    Bleu Oleander: timelessness
stevenaia Michinaga: makes my truth and your truth equally valid, or invalid
Louis Onyett: Irony abounds in that case
    stevenaia Michinaga: quantum truth
Bleu Oleander: we all have our own versions of truth
Louis Onyett: Yes, we cannot see if it is exactly true without disturbing its state
    Adams Rubble nods
Adams Rubble: I need to go. Thank you all for the discussion this morning :)
Bleu Oleander: anyone who thinks they understand quantum doesn't understand it haha
    Louis Onyett: Enjoy the day!
Adams Rubble: have a nice day everyone :)
    Bleu Oleander: ok bye Adams
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, alundry calls me (a truth)
Bleu Oleander: ok I should probably get the pups out for a walk
Louis Onyett: Then time will almost certainly slow
    Bleu Oleander: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: see you soon
Louis Onyett: I too must get back to work.
Bleu Oleander: nice to see you all
Louis Onyett: Look forward to next time.
Bleu Oleander: have a great week
