Riddle Sideways: ah, so good to see Adams again
Adams Rubble: Good morning Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: it has been so long
Adams Rubble: yes, it has been
Riddle Sideways: was thinking of you this weekend
Adams Rubble: ohh, that was nice of you
Riddle Sideways: filling out the PaB questionaire
Riddle Sideways: and remembering a Firesign theatre session we had
Adams Rubble: PaB has been a powerful experience
Riddle Sideways: that session was tooooo silly for most others
Adams Rubble: oh, yes
Adams Rubble: All for one! - and all for one! All for one! Let me hear it for me! You're under arrest!
Riddle Sideways: yet there can be great depth even in laughter
Riddle Sideways: when removing personal experiences out and only thinking of the other ppl here
Riddle Sideways: Adams is right up toward the top of those who seemed to go through lots
Adams Rubble: I think the questionnaire was a good reminder of the many people who have passed through
Riddle Sideways: lots of growth, experiments, scribing
Riddle Sideways: During the 6th anniversery party couple months back
Riddle Sideways: somebody wrote the name of somebody missed
Riddle Sideways: then another
Riddle Sideways: and the long list poured out
Riddle Sideways: how just reading the names gets ya
Adams Rubble: I did not know that
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: was that posted?
Riddle Sideways: hmmmm, not sure
Adams Rubble: of course we have lists :)
Riddle Sideways: not sure if the recorder was at that location
Riddle Sideways: or if anybody scribed it
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: how often do you come to the pavillion now?
Adams Rubble: Not too often. Sunday morning is my best time
Adams Rubble: It is hard once one is not a regular
Adams Rubble: not sure which way the wind is blowing
Riddle Sideways: many times you show up at the museum
Adams Rubble: yes, I am still in SL :)
Adams Rubble: I have been reading Shantideva off and on for the last year
Adams Rubble: His manual on becoming a Bodhisattva
Adams Rubble: There is mush there to keep one busy :)
Riddle Sideways: :)
Adams Rubble: hehe much, not mush al;though I guess that is a matter of opinion
Adams Rubble: Today I am working on an exploration seeing how my "I: changes from oment to moment
Riddle Sideways: ah, yes
Adams Rubble: I am finding it surprising the degree to which outside stimulation changes the "I"
Adams Rubble: I have been many people today :)
Adams Rubble: not all people I'd like to be :)
Riddle Sideways: understood
Riddle Sideways: just turning head-focus goes from this SL av person to a work station person ego
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: oh yes
Riddle Sideways: 2+ (gosh more than that) years of this war on pronouns / PaB experiment to stop using pronouns / clean up language usage
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: it is very hard to write a sentence without an "I" and "We" in it
Adams Rubble: yes, I remember those discussions
Riddle Sideways: makes all this authors sentences sound grammarically crippled
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: RL was having many promoun problems back then also
Riddle Sideways: combined with the 'WE' topics here
Riddle Sideways: and reading how each person here was putting I I I I I I in there chat
Riddle Sideways: their
Adams Rubble: It would seem the mahayana Buddhists think there are two steps to the process
Adams Rubble: first recognizing the impermanence of I
Adams Rubble: and then helping others
Riddle Sideways: got the first :) not ready for the second
Adams Rubble: hehe, the second is harder
Adams Rubble: baby steps
Riddle Sideways: there are the gender pronouns
Riddle Sideways: that many become militant about
Adams Rubble: ohhh yes, those
Riddle Sideways: new pronouns that need explaining each time
Adams Rubble: SL can be good for that
Riddle Sideways: and ones that if not used correctly
Adams Rubble: opening one's horizons to new ways of thinking
Riddle Sideways: that is/was what PaB is so good at
Riddle Sideways: the seeing how mush this is
Riddle Sideways: :)
Adams Rubble: can we talk a bit about PaB?
Riddle Sideways: in mid-sentence ... yes
Riddle Sideways: would like that
Adams Rubble: Am I correct in understanding no one is showing up for these sessions on a regular basis?
Riddle Sideways: yep, 7am is almost abandoned
Adams Rubble: Thinking back to the beginning, we often had two or three at this time
Adams Rubble: but it becomes impossible with just one
Adams Rubble: It is very, very good of you to keep coming
Adams Rubble: you have manned this spot for a lonnnnggg time
Adams Rubble: (can I use manned?)
Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: some things become habit (weak answer)
Adams Rubble: :)
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: ahhh, managed this spot
Riddle Sideways: this spot in the week (space and time)
Riddle Sideways: has become
Riddle Sideways: well 'mine'
Riddle Sideways: it has meant so much
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: at the begin it was "I am not worthy"
Adams Rubble: I understand that
Riddle Sideways: but, Pema was doint round the clock sessions
Riddle Sideways: needed somebody to take over a few
Adams Rubble: he was persuasive
Adams Rubble: did not take no for an answer
Riddle Sideways: correct
Riddle Sideways: got to us all
Adams Rubble: btw, this time is flying for me this morning
Riddle Sideways: yes
Riddle Sideways: however this is where like minds discussed zeroth time
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: liked that
Riddle Sideways: now being here alone is ok
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: come here and be quiet is very nice
Riddle Sideways: so will continue
Riddle Sideways: some of the alone meeting even get published
Riddle Sideways: :}
Adams Rubble: :)
Adams Rubble: I had some of thise
Adams Rubble: those
Riddle Sideways: there were good for us
Riddle Sideways: "us" intentionally used
Adams Rubble: :)
Riddle Sideways: There are fewer better memories than the Pema-Adams incounters
Riddle Sideways: e
Adams Rubble blushes
Adams Rubble: Pema liked to use me to make his points because I knew so little and fell into all the traps :)
Riddle Sideways: which was great learning for 'us'
Adams Rubble: yes, pema is a very good teacher but don;t tell him
Adams Rubble: he likes to pretend he isn;t
Riddle Sideways: wouldn't
Adams Rubble: we all miss his presence her deeply
Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: but you all have done a wonderful job of carrying on
Riddle Sideways: it morphs
Adams Rubble: I do believe that the problems with attendance have nothing to do with paB but are due to what has happend with Second lie
Riddle Sideways: could be that too
Adams Rubble: we used to get two or three new avatars showing up at almost every session
Adams Rubble: there were always new people
Riddle Sideways: or they were drawn by noting a group of 3-6 around here
Riddle Sideways: the visitor center over yonder has traffic
--BELL--
Adams Rubble: The educational mission of SL has changed greatly. People are not coming in for that aspect in the numbers they used to
Riddle Sideways: am not sure how to collect those numbers
Adams Rubble: In any case, this week is my sixth anniversary
Adams Rubble: hehe, I made up the numbers
Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: Adams Rubble heresay
Riddle Sideways: mazhol tov
Adams Rubble: hearsay
Adams Rubble: heresay gone tomorrow
Riddle Sideways: research is much easily with made up numbers
Adams Rubble: I am afraid I must run and I expect you do too
Riddle Sideways: yes
Adams Rubble: It was very good to see you this morning
Riddle Sideways: this has been fun
Adams Rubble: thank you for the fast hour
Riddle Sideways: must do it again
Adams Rubble: yes, will try to make it again
Riddle Sideways: thank you
Adams Rubble: have a very nice day
Riddle Sideways: k
