Attending were Zen, RIddle, Rafi, Tura, Alma, Agatha, and Eliza.
Eliza Madrigal: Missed you all. Have a productive break?
Agatha Macbeth: Muchos productivo
Zen (Zen Arado): don't know about productive I have been busy
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): likewise
Zen (Zen Arado): I'm doing two future learn courses
Agatha Macbeth: Will we have a dream back log?
Eliza Madrigal: two? which ones?
Zen (Zen Arado): one on the abdomen
Zen (Zen Arado): the other on digital accessibility
Agatha Macbeth: 'He made his home in...'
Eliza Madrigal: interesting, hm
Eliza Madrigal: back log, Agatha?
Zen (Zen Arado): I put my headset on but perhaps it was working better with the internal microphone of the Mac
Agatha Macbeth: A month's worth
Agatha Macbeth: Hello Raff
Eliza Madrigal: I do hope everyone has been logging over the break!
Zen (Zen Arado): Hi Raffi
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Raffi, ltns, welcome back :)
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): logging, as in cutting down trees? LOL
Eliza Madrigal laughs
Agatha Macbeth: I'm a lumberjack, etc
Zen (Zen Arado): I start to see the same themes coming up over and over again
Eliza Madrigal: as in "Captains log..."
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): I sleep all night and I work all day :)
Raffila Millgrove: Hi Zen, Aggers, Eliza, Alma.
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): hi Raffila
Zen (Zen Arado): I dress up in women's clothes and hang around in bars
Agatha Macbeth: You do?
Zen (Zen Arado): hhe he
Agatha Macbeth: Always knew I liked you for a reason
Eliza Madrigal giggling
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): only in SLK
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): SL
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh Belfast can be a bit rough for that kinda thing
Eliza Madrigal: Today, maybe we can go around and each check in or remark on dream lives, or developments, or pressing questions?
Zen (Zen Arado): not many lumberjacks around Belfast
Agatha Macbeth: Er
Agatha Macbeth: If you want, but mine will be exceedingly brief
Eliza Madrigal: we did exchange a few emails, but only between those attending just before we took a break
Eliza Madrigal: we can just briefly shares what comes to mind, okay? I'll send an IM to catch up late arrivers
Agatha Macbeth: Ok
Eliza Madrigal: Alma, would you like to start?
Zen (Zen Arado): I might have to leave early because someone is on holidays before me on the run
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Tura :) Will send you an IM
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): um...
Zen (Zen Arado): Hi Tura
Tura Brezoianu: Thanks, Sorry late.
Eliza Madrigal: no worries :)
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): it's been hard to maintain dream practice, beyond just recording my dreams
Agatha Macbeth: Yay here she is
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): I'm kind of struggling just to keep remembering a couple of dreams each night
Raffila Millgrove: hey Tura.
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): seems like other things in my life just keep crowding out the dream work
Zen (Zen Arado): a couple is good!
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): but I did have a couple of short lucid moments
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): which I shared in an email
Agatha Macbeth: I remember
Eliza Madrigal: So quality-wise, you are still doing well, considering how much RL is demanding?
Zen (Zen Arado): Yes
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): well, I'm still hanging in there, hoping that things will ease up and give me a chance for better focus in coming weeks
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: thanks
Eliza Madrigal: Zen, want to go next, since you may need to leave early (hope not)?
Zen (Zen Arado): okay sure
Zen (Zen Arado): I started experimenting with Lucidesc just after we stopped
Zen (Zen Arado): to take a capsule every three days and I did that for two weeks
Zen (Zen Arado): my dreams certainly became far more vivid and they seemed longer and I can remember them better
Agatha Macbeth wonders when Zen will start on acid
Zen (Zen Arado): I did have some semi-lucid moments but not where I was in control or anything
Zen (Zen Arado): yes I wonder if there is any relation ship to LSD?
Zen (Zen Arado): Maybe a milder form?
Agatha Macbeth: Ask Tim Leary
Agatha Macbeth: Oh he's dead
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): ask him in a dream
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure there is some, but more like an alternative avenue perhaps
Eliza Madrigal: That's actually great advice :)
Agatha Macbeth: Or Abi Hoffman
Zen (Zen Arado): I find I get a bit tired if I dream too much so I kind of ration the tablets
Agatha Macbeth: You could levitate trump then or something
Zen (Zen Arado): my eyes get sore – I wonder if that's from too much REM sleep?
Raffila Millgrove: LSD is now being used for hospice patients and there's some serious studieds going on it.
Eliza Madrigal: yes
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): I've read that marijuana tends to suppress REM activity, but that's the extent of my knowledge of drug/dream interactions
Agatha Macbeth: Good news
Eliza Madrigal: that's what I found too, that I was groggy if I used the supplements more than a few days in a row
Raffila Millgrove: you also tried this lucid supplement Eliza?
Zen (Zen Arado): Yes I think it's best to use them for a week and then maybe stop again
Eliza Madrigal: Maybe it just helps us to glimpse some of 'what we're looking for' as we do dream practices and meditate
Zen (Zen Arado): I think my dreams continued to be stronger even after stopping
Eliza Madrigal: I have used one called Galatamind
Eliza Madrigal: which now is ridiculously expensive unfortunately
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds like a planet
Tura Brezoianu: I've been inspired to get some Lucidesc myself. The order arrived recently but I haven't tried it yet.
Eliza Madrigal: there are two substances... galantamine and cho...(?)
Zen (Zen Arado): we leave the talking stick here :-)
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): I've tried galantamine, and it has had some strange effects
Tura Brezoianu: (notes Galatamind)
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, sorry Zen
Zen (Zen Arado): we need I mean :-)
Agatha Macbeth: Mr Sulu lays in a course...
Eliza Madrigal: :) Please go on Zen
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala) listens
Zen (Zen Arado): I've gotten used to be able to talk for a while on my own :-)
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Zen (Zen Arado): not that I'm saying anything very important
Agatha Macbeth: At least you're guaranteed an intelligent convo
Zen (Zen Arado): anyway, after recording dreams for almost a year now I'm finding a lot of recurring themes
Agatha Macbeth: Interesting
Zen (Zen Arado): but every now and then I get an unusual dream
Zen (Zen Arado): done
Eliza Madrigal: thanks :) And for sharing your experiment so far
Agatha Macbeth: The Zen files
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Raffila Millgrove: will you cotinue to take the lucid Zen.. on and offish?
Zen (Zen Arado): oh yes I might take some next week again
Zen (Zen Arado): I think if I take two tablets a week for a week every now and then that might do
Raffila Millgrove: is it chhanging the content.. the nature of the dreams? or just giving you more vividness. more color or details?
Zen (Zen Arado): I think I have had some more unusual dreams perhaps
Raffila Millgrove: ah. ty
Zen (Zen Arado): I'll have to record which nights I'm taking the tablets
Eliza Madrigal: I think you're right that afterward, a night or two after taking them, there is still effect sometimes
Zen (Zen Arado): you take one every three days
Eliza Madrigal: ah, ok
Eliza Madrigal: Tura, are you ready to check in? :)
Zen (Zen Arado): so I could take one on Monday and then another on Thursday and then leave things while
Eliza Madrigal nods
Agatha Macbeth pulls Tura's ponytail
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: We can come back
Tura Brezoianu: Yes, I can say a bit
Eliza Madrigal listens
Tura Brezoianu: I didn't remember any dreams while in Japan. After returning I had a few dreams that were vague rehashes of fragments of the Japan trip, but nothing coherent enough to write down.
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Tura Brezoianu: Here's a dream I had last week.
Tura Brezoianu: I was in the army, a new recruit. I don't know why, the dream didn't fill that in.
Tura Brezoianu: We, that is, me and a lot of other new soldiers, had gathered together to go out on some sort of duty.
Tura Brezoianu: I had to pack, and it appeared that we needed to have ammunition, and I had some but wasn't sure if it was enough, and wasn't sure if I should buy some more.
Tura Brezoianu: I was getting behind with all of this preparation. Then someone accosted me, who seemed to have something to do with the army although he wasn't in uniform.
Tura Brezoianu: I don't remember our conversation, but he had noticed my inexperience, then he asked me, do you know who I am, and I said, I don't, you're not in uniform, and he seemed to be satisfied with that answer. But he didn't say who he was.
Tura Brezoianu: My unit was marching away in formation and I excused myself and ran to join them.
Tura Brezoianu: But then I got delayed by not having my boots on yet and by the time I'd got going I couldn't findthem.
Tura Brezoianu: I looked fruitlessly around the neighbouring streets.
Tura Brezoianu: The dream ended there.
Zen (Zen Arado): thanks Tura - drat I have to go
Eliza Madrigal: What did you feel about it? Relate it to?
Eliza Madrigal: Bye Zen!
Tura Brezoianu: Bye Zen
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): tc Zen
Agatha Macbeth: Be well Zenny
Raffila Millgrove: oh. bye zen. next week.. have a good one.
Agatha Macbeth: Don't get spaced out
Zen (Zen Arado): is offline.
Tura Brezoianu: It had the common theme about not knowing what I should be doing and travelling unprepared.
Eliza Madrigal: and someone disrupting your flow
Raffila Millgrove: does that mean it's reflecting anxities you are experiencing real time? esp around travel?
Tura Brezoianu: I sensed that he was someone very senior but wasn't letting on who he was
Agatha Macbeth: Riddle :)
Tura Brezoianu: When I actually travel I make absolutely sure of all my arrangements, check them over and over, and leave a lot of time for unforeseen difficulties
Agatha Macbeth: Hey diddle diddle
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): hi Riddle
Raffila Millgrove: Hi Riddle. Zen just left. had appointment.
Tura Brezoianu: Hi Riddle
Riddle Sideways: whispers: ers sorry
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Riddle :) We've been going around to check in, so be prepared ^.^ , but not yet
Riddle Sideways: one of those old dawg and new trick thang
Eliza Madrigal: regimented when traveling
Raffila Millgrove: You think Tura.. that as Eliza suggests that this sr. authority... does it represent a real person or what. why's he in the dream?
Eliza Madrigal: it is interesting because I've had travel dreams where boots were the thing missing... perhaps they are representative of being well prepared
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): I've had dreams about forgetting my shoes
Eliza Madrigal: foundation for everything else?
Tura Brezoianu: I think in RL I sometimes tend to be too ready to ask other people for help with a problem, before making my best effort to fix things myself.
Raffila Millgrove: oh so you were sort of thinking in this dream that maybe the sr guy could help in some way?
Tura Brezoianu: When I got lost chasing after the others, I thought of going back and asking him, then decided against that even if I couldn't find the rest of the group myself.
Raffila Millgrove: ah ha. ty. that explains him.
Eliza Madrigal: oh, that's interesting. Yes, you were out of step with the group
Eliza Madrigal: useful role for a dream, thank you Tura
Eliza Madrigal: Agatha, ready? Think of something to share?
Agatha Macbeth: Nope :p
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Okay, it is enough you are dressed like someone from a dream
Agatha Macbeth: Or a nightmare
Riddle Sideways: ㋡
Raffila Millgrove: I can share even tho I usually don't. if you like?
Eliza Madrigal: :) yes please, was about to ask you Raffi
Raffila Millgrove: last night i dreamed I was playing a video game on my phone.. like sugar crush if you know that one? So.. it was way complicated. I knew all the rules..and was going along pretty good with strategy and I finished the level and woke up...
Tura Brezoianu: An app for waking up!
Raffila Millgrove: and in that.. vague space between awake and asleep I suddenly say to self. Wait. this is NOT a real video game. that isn't anything I ever saw before. and my other self says.. really. well you sure seem to know the rules and how to play well. you sure this wasn't a dream.
Raffila Millgrove: the end result on how i feel of this is. A. very fascinating cause the game was so complicated and I Have no idea how i could know how to play.. and B. creepy.
Eliza Madrigal smiles at "my other self says..."
Eliza Madrigal: Why creepy exactly?
Raffila Millgrove: well.. how could you imagine a complicated game and play it.. in a dream. that was so real that when you wake up you aren't sure what's real and what's not. i hate that stuff. I see life as that way .. anyway. a strangeness between real and fake all the time.
Eliza Madrigal: that makes sense
Eliza Madrigal: disorienting
Raffila Millgrove: what people believe to be true.. real. suddenly they get new info.. new science and what they thought to be true. NO it's not. so truth is darn shaky as is reality.
Raffila Millgrove: as is reality. both are very shaky and I had to accept that with age.. just ..accept their shakiness.
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): the world we think we live in is an invention of our own minds
Raffila Millgrove: even tho I want hard truth and won't be getting it. That's why I don't like a dream like this. it's incredible ..r epresentation of the way of the world. mysteries that won't be solved.
Eliza Madrigal: I see what you mean, yes... functioning when you *know* how limited your knowledge is, is shaky
Raffila Millgrove: you play a game well that turns out to be a phantom game. creepy.
Riddle Sideways: ha, Truth is shaky now too
Agatha Macbeth: Sounds just like SL
Eliza Madrigal: even the tools we've always relied on
Raffila Millgrove: totally.
Raffila Millgrove: very SL ish.
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks Raffi
Raffila Millgrove: done.
Raffila Millgrove: ty
Agatha Macbeth: Nice
Eliza Madrigal: Ready Riddle?
Riddle Sideways: somewhat ready
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: meant to have homework of summerizing the break done by 1pm, whoops so ...
Riddle Sideways: most of journal is None recalled
Riddle Sideways: then a bunch of oridinary life
Riddle Sideways: that is so hard to tell if awake
Riddle Sideways: will share one neat night tho
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: 3 separate during the night. 3 REMs.
Riddle Sideways: Tigers(5), some shelter-SPCA-non-profit(not a zoo)
Riddle Sideways: 1. tigers were not doing well, gave them many different Water things (tank,tub,stream,drinking,pan,hose,etc.). they all got better. Each adopted one of the watering places in the middle of enclosure and did not leave it.
Riddle Sideways: 2. The place had to close (not sure why... remodel? out of money? sold?), so took the enclosure and the 5 water things and the 5 tigers to my place (not sure where/what that place was). Everything is fine, as long as each tiger had it's water place right next to the others.
Agatha Macbeth is a water tiger :p
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Riddle Sideways: 3. got a letter/notice/police(?) that dues had not been payed, so the tigers were being taken. a.there was no other place for them, b.nobody else could nor would take care of them, c.I had used twice the dues money to feed, care and house them (which was what the dues would have been for). It was astonishing that they would not realize/understand the logic of the dues going right to what the dues were meant to. got so mad that awoke.
Riddle Sideways: = Interesting that the tigers from left to right were known, liked, etc. in that order. so much so that the 1st could talk/converse and the last can not be described/seen.
Riddle Sideways: done
Agatha Macbeth: Paper tigers maybe?
Eliza Madrigal: such a neat dream
Eliza Madrigal: am curious if you feel a connection to tigers in particular normally?
Riddle Sideways: 3 dreams in one night on same subject
Riddle Sideways: or characters
Eliza Madrigal: ah, so you went back in, wow
Riddle Sideways: no special connection, except for Tigger
Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Bouncy trouncy pouncy!
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): 3 chapters in one story
Eliza Madrigal: yes, nice
Riddle Sideways: yep, funny that
Eliza Madrigal: tigers make me think of vitality, but also potential dangers when hungry or untame
Raffila Millgrove: gosh that is a very good dream that you could really spend a lot of time thinking about.
Raffila Millgrove: I thought of that too Alma.
Riddle Sideways: listened to Audible of about half
Riddle Sideways: thanks
Eliza Madrigal: oohhh, great connection
Eliza Madrigal: am curious to hear more of what you felt about it, or feel upon reflection Riddle
Riddle Sideways: but, there were 5 tigers
Eliza Madrigal: familiar and less and less
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): interesting that they are in such a sequence
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): from conscious to unconscsious
Riddle Sideways: yes, less and less, so that the last on right was just felt, not seen
Eliza Madrigal: and you have taken responsibility
Riddle Sideways: used the dues money to care for them
Riddle Sideways: the illogic of a Catch-22
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): maybe it is just one tiger, manifesting at different levels of awareness
Agatha Macbeth: Love that
Raffila Millgrove: 5 is a big number in japan to represent a family.. where Westerners package glasses or plates in 4 packs. they always did theirs in five packs.
Agatha Macbeth: 'Why Italy is great'
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): yes, the government must take your money from you so they can do exactly what you would have done with it
Raffila Millgrove: teapot and five cups.. not four. Did you know this already Riddle. your tigers might be a family.
Riddle Sideways: did not know or remember
Riddle Sideways: did not seem to be a family
Riddle Sideways: just housed together
Raffila Millgrove: but they knew each other. they needed to be in their right order by each other. they do have some relation to one another. ?
Eliza Madrigal: I really love that you took care of them... and the different kinds of water sources is fascinating too
Riddle Sideways: probably. or they picked the watering feature that they liked in that order
Raffila Millgrove: I wonder why they needed the water. that seemed so important.
Riddle Sideways: seemed the old place did not give them water
Eliza Madrigal: as though if you gave water in a bucket to one, they wouldn't have been able to receive it, etc.
Riddle Sideways: they dried up
Eliza Madrigal: skillful means
Raffila Millgrove: ah ha. yes i think you said you brought them back to vitality.
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): water is sometimes a symbol of spirit, feeling, or emotion
Agatha Macbeth: There's a hole in me bucket dear Eliza
Tura Brezoianu: the water of life?
Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Agatha
Agatha Macbeth: Aqua vitae
Eliza Madrigal: Hm, too many associations are flooding my mind to be able to comment anymore, hah
Agatha Macbeth: A brain wave
Riddle Sideways: ha! yes
Raffila Millgrove: very rich dream. maybe when we see you again you will tell us what you thought.. in mulling it over more.
Riddle Sideways: too much in that one. will pick one of the other simpler ones
Eliza Madrigal: good idea, everyone keep eyes open/make note for connotations
Raffila Millgrove: ooh no Riddle. that complexity it was makes that dream so rich and maybe valuable.
Eliza Madrigal: we've come to the end for today, and I haven't prepared anything...
Eliza Madrigal: just thought it would be nice to connect again
Agatha Macbeth: Oh you
Eliza Madrigal: and it is :)
Raffila Millgrove: ah well you were our lovely host.. so that's a big contribution. thanks.
Agatha Macbeth: It is
Agatha Macbeth: Snap
Riddle Sideways: whaaaa Eliza not prepared
Eliza Madrigal smiles, looks for boots
Agatha Macbeth: There's a hole in her bucket
Raffila Millgrove: lol
Riddle Sideways: thanks, will now sing that song all day
Eliza Madrigal: was good that you could make it Raffi, have wondered how/where you've been
Eliza Madrigal: and everyone <3
Agatha Macbeth: ♥
Agatha Macbeth: I wondered how everyone had been
Raffila Millgrove: grieving ..all this time and it started here at the last dream session I went to in May.
Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Eliza Madrigal: :( I see
Raffila Millgrove: I had to leave quickly on seeing that a friend died.. looking up in google something zen said and it just spiralled out horrid. so I am glad to feel ok and be bak.
Eliza Madrigal: must honor that process, whatever it needs
Eliza Madrigal: hugs :)
Raffila Millgrove: ty. very happy to see everyone again.
Agatha Macbeth: Likewise
Riddle Sideways: hugs
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): good to be back. hoping that the group will once again spur my dream life into heightened activity
Eliza Madrigal: YES!
Agatha Macbeth: Hopefully
Eliza Madrigal: it is good for things to rest periodically....
Eliza Madrigal: then a new layer settles in, nourishes
Eliza Madrigal: so now we can water again ? :))
Raffila Millgrove: it is. well i think I walk about an study San's work. I so admire her landscapes and she has done wonderfully well with this fall one.
Eliza Madrigal waves
Agatha Macbeth: BFN
Riddle Sideways: waves
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala): be well everyone
Eliza Madrigal: bye for now :) Hope to see some of you Thursday
Agatha Macbeth: Have you an unstamped log? :p
Tura Brezoianu: bye all
Agatha Macbeth: TC
Alma di Masala (Almadi Masala) waves goodbye
Eliza Madrigal: not yet but I'm gathering it now, ty Agatha
Eliza Madrigal waves warmly
Riddle Sideways: thank you all
Agatha Macbeth: Always best to check
Eliza Madrigal: appreciate it
Eliza Madrigal: thank you for being here Riddle
Riddle came back and we wandered a little, finding interesting objects about. :)
