    DR42 Resident: Ɲձოձʂէε
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hello Maude :)
    DR42 Resident: How are you?
Catrinamonblue Resident: very good thank you and you?
DR42 Resident: Doing well, but procrastinating.
Catrinamonblue Resident: lol well so am I to a certain extent as well :) I think we all do
Catrinamonblue Resident: so what are you procrastinating about? may I ask?
DR42 Resident: Depressing news about the lack of government.
    DR42 Resident: Taxes.
Catrinamonblue Resident: I tend to stay away from the news and try not to worry too much about the gov't
DR42 Resident: The government has stopped delivering services I paid for, why should I continue to give them money?
Catrinamonblue Resident: mmm that's a hard one and very individual
    Catrinamonblue Resident: hello Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: Heya, Maude! Heya, Cat!
Catrinamonblue Resident: and Blub warm welcome
    Bruce Mowbray: ty!
Bruce Mowbray: Blub waves a fin.
DR42 Resident: Hello. Was thinking of you during the last session...
Bruce Mowbray: Really? I hope those were kind thoughts.
DR42 Resident: Well, they were not negative... :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Whew! Relieved.....
    Bruce Mowbray: (I think.)

DR42 Resident: I am moving files so I can rebuild my laptop. Many, many files to move...
    Bruce Mowbray: wow.
Bruce Mowbray: I've done that -- and it can be an enormous job.
Bruce Mowbray: Do you have an external storage drive, Maude?
Catrinamonblue Resident: done that too :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    DR42 Resident: Yes, a 1 gig "Passport"
Bruce Mowbray: cool. That sounds like a flash drive -- or memory stick.....
    DR42 Resident: sorry, 1 terabyte.
Bruce Mowbray: I meant a whole external drive -- Mine is 3 terabytes.
    Bruce Mowbray: kk, better!
Bruce Mowbray: One terabyte is a WHOLE LOT of storage!
DR42 Resident: I have about 10 TB of external disks.
DR42 Resident: I have about 700 gig to write to it.
Bruce Mowbray: Can't imagine my needing that much....
    Bruce Mowbray: That's great!
Bruce Mowbray: You probably never have to delete anything!
Bruce Mowbray: just save it to the external drive(s).
Bruce Mowbray: So, you are "rebuilding" your laptop.
DR42 Resident: Going to re-install the OS, then get all the apps back.
    Bruce Mowbray: PC or Apple?
DR42 Resident: PC. It started crashing when I run certain apps, like SL.
    Bruce Mowbray: oh dear.
Bruce Mowbray: I'm thinking that laptops (generally) might not really have the hardware to handle 3D -- and high-tech visual stuff, like gamer-type software.
Bruce Mowbray: but maybe yours is a higher grade than mine.
DR42 Resident: Well, it is easier to take on the road with me than a desktop PC.
    Bruce Mowbray: for sure.
DR42 Resident: Mine was $400 at Walmart 2 years ago.
Bruce Mowbray: I spent a couple of hours today trying to decide whether to take my laptop to Chicago on Monday....
Bruce Mowbray: finally decided to take it, so I could attend a two-hour session in Wednesday afternoon.
Bruce Mowbray: a bit more hassle at TSA, but probably worth it.
Bruce Mowbray: I also want to save photos from my camera onto the laptop each night when I return to the hostel in Chicago.
Bruce Mowbray: Tuesday, I'm going to the Baha'i Temple.
Bruce Mowbray: (THANKS to you for your suggestion, Maude!)
Bruce Mowbray: and Wednesday to the Milwaukee Art Museum.
DR42 Resident: Great! Take lots of pictures.
Bruce Mowbray: and I don't know what I'll do on Thursday. . .
Catrinamonblue Resident: sounds like great fun, Bruce :)
Bruce Mowbray: probably the Art Institute of Chicago.
DR42 Resident: There is the botanical gardens as well.
Bruce Mowbray: but I'm a free-spirited fellow, so who knows?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: gypsy time :)
Bruce Mowbray: I'm looking forward to it -- my typist's first outing away from the farm since last October - when he took his niece to New York.
DR42 Resident: Although it is probably a bit late for all the outside gardens.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, I was thinking that, also.
Catrinamonblue Resident: fall colours are amazing right now :)
    DR42 Resident: Ɲձოձʂէε Eva
    Bruce Mowbray: a bit chilly.
Bruce Mowbray: Namaste, Eva. Please join us if you wish.
DR42 Resident: Bruce, you should change your title to "Not a Member"
Bruce Mowbray: What does my title say now?
    DR42 Resident: "Member"
Bruce Mowbray: Oh oh.  Then I'm probably in the wrong group to be functioning as a Guardian here today.
Bruce Mowbray: oh dear. "Member" is for the morning meditation group at Inner Peace Garden.
Bruce Mowbray: just a sec, please while I get my act together.
    Bruce Mowbray: better?
    DR42 Resident: Sure.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I usually don't show my group labels, so I forget to change them.
Bruce Mowbray: Funny, though, how the fountain recorder allows me to do stuff here -- even though my label is activated for other groups.
DR42 Resident: I think that I can see them unless you specifically pick a blank one.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmmm.
Bruce Mowbray: In my preferences, I just indicate names -- not groups.

DR42 Resident: that is so YOU don't see group tags, not that others don't see yours.
    Bruce Mowbray: yeah.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist is very ego-centric, I fear.
Catrinamonblue Resident: sry to change subjects guys but this song has been with me so much this past few weeks I really want to share with you
    Catrinamonblue Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFtfk0bZVRM
Catrinamonblue Resident: turn it up loud :)
Bruce Mowbray ponders multi-viewpoints -- perspectives on multi-worlds.
    DR42 Resident: cool song
Bruce Mowbray: OMG! THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :-)
Catrinamonblue Resident: it is awesome beautiful!!!!
    Bruce Mowbray: I downloaded it!
Bruce Mowbray: THANKS for sharing that!
Catrinamonblue Resident: I love it so much have been listening to it over and over :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Great!
Catrinamonblue Resident: your very welcome Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: You know, they also speak Gaelic in Northern Scotland.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: cool
Bruce Mowbray: The roadsigns up there are in Gaelic, as well.
Bruce Mowbray: Celtic tradition throughout both Ireland and Scotland, of course.
Catrinamonblue Resident: in Nova Scotia as well :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Oh yes!
Catrinamonblue Resident: road signs in Gaelic in Cape Breton Island
Bruce Mowbray: I've been to Halifax, NS twice in the past five years...
Catrinamonblue Resident: was there last summer :)
Bruce Mowbray: LOVE their Highland Games.
    Bruce Mowbray: Really?!

Bruce Mowbray: Did you go to the Games, Cat?
Catrinamonblue Resident: missed the highland games
Bruce Mowbray: But a cool town to visit , in any case.
Catrinamonblue Resident: but went to Meat Cove and did whale watching out of Pleasant Bay :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Mary's Cove?
Catrinamonblue Resident: Going to visit Halifax next summer :)
    Bruce Mowbray: COOOOOOOOl!
Bruce Mowbray: just a sec, please......
Catrinamonblue Resident: Meat Cove at the very tip top of Cape Breaton
    Catrinamonblue Resident: k
DR42 Resident: It is so easy to get there on the "Cat", all I need is a passport.. :)
    Bruce Mowbray: http://hermitdog.com/halifax/gallery.htm
Catrinamonblue Resident: lol :) Awesome Maude
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh sweet ty Bruce!!!
Bruce Mowbray: Oh, way up there where the Gumpo Abby is.
DR42 Resident: From Portland Maine in a very few hours.
    Bruce Mowbray: With Pema Chodron.
    Bruce Mowbray: Cool!
Catrinamonblue Resident: I also visit Prince Edward Island almost every summer as well. Beautiful place.
Bruce Mowbray: Oh wow. My typist is so envious!
Catrinamonblue Resident: It's about a 14 or 15 hour drive from my home :)
    Bruce Mowbray: wow.
Bruce Mowbray: That's quite an interesting portion of Canada.....
Catrinamonblue Resident: some day I want to move there :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes it's lovely
Bruce Mowbray: I would LOVE to be able to live there myself.
Catrinamonblue Resident: it's not easy economically and health care in PEI seems to be about the worst in Canada. Long waits for Dr's
Catrinamonblue Resident: but even still I still want to live there :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmmmm.

    --BELL--

Bruce Mowbray: But while you're waiting for docs, you can enjoy the scenery and the culture!
Catrinamonblue Resident: Yes :) true and it's awesome scenery
Catrinamonblue Resident: the north shore is amazing
Bruce Mowbray: On the way down to Halifax from the airport, I saw many places that I'd love to be able to live in.
Bruce Mowbray: and then, when we went down to Windhorse Farm for the retreat, I saw many more.
DR42 Resident: Driving to Halifax is about 12 hours for me.
Bruce Mowbray: (that was the second time I was in Halifax, not the one with the gallery of photos, though).
Bruce Mowbray: I think it might be about three days for my typist.
Bruce Mowbray: Does it get awfully cold up there in the winter, though?
Catrinamonblue Resident: well it's damp because of the ocean but it's colder here near Ottawa than on the east coast :)
Bruce Mowbray: So, the ocean tends to warm the maritime provinces a bit more than the inland ones.
Bruce Mowbray: I thought that would be the case.
Catrinamonblue Resident: I think it also has something to do with the gulf stream? but I'm not sure I remember that right
Bruce Mowbray: yeah, hard to keep all that oceanic stuff straight....
Bruce Mowbray: especially since it's now changing - with climate change.
Bruce Mowbray: Have you visited Pema Chodron's monastery up there on Breton Island?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: https://www.facebook.com/johanna.duynisveld/media_set?set=a.10151160160665365.496013.561675364&type=3
Catrinamonblue Resident: I tried making this photo album public can you see it?
Bruce Mowbray: oooops. I got message saying that content is not currently available.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: drat
Bruce Mowbray: can't see it, sry.
    DR42 Resident: Me, too
Bruce Mowbray: You can't see it either, Maude?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: double drat
Catrinamonblue Resident: not sure how to share a photo album from Facebook
Catrinamonblue Resident: last years trip to NS
Bruce Mowbray: I'm not a Facebook dude, so I can't help you there.
Bruce Mowbray: However, I do know how to put albums up on a website...
Bruce Mowbray: (like that one I showed you about Nova Scotia....)
Catrinamonblue Resident: ah well its ok :)
    Bruce Mowbray: kk.
    Bruce Mowbray: I've been wondering,.....
Bruce Mowbray: if I could make only one more big trip in the world,
Bruce Mowbray: where would I go?
Bruce Mowbray: was thinking about Scotland....
Bruce Mowbray: but that's almost too much like my own culture....
Catrinamonblue Resident: A friend of mine just came back from a month in Scotland :)
Bruce Mowbray: would prefer something really different....
    Bruce Mowbray: Ohhhhhhhhh.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist left half of his heart in Scotland.....
Catrinamonblue Resident: he's a bit of a wandering gypsy himself, never still for very long
DR42 Resident: I want to go back there. Mostly to drink Scotch.
    Bruce Mowbray: http://www.hermitdog.com/ScotlandGallery/Scotland.htm
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh Bruce I sense a romantic story there?
Bruce Mowbray: Their Scotch is lovely, yes.
    Bruce Mowbray: really?
Bruce Mowbray: Not really romantic -- just a love of the land.
Catrinamonblue Resident: ah... Same thing as my love of PEI :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Bruce Mowbray: I highly recommend http://www.macbackpackers.com for their hostels and their tours.
Catrinamonblue Resident: will keep that booked marked. Thinking of travelling in upcoming years
Bruce Mowbray: They surely took good care of my typist!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: awesome :)
Bruce Mowbray: An excellent company MacBackpackers -- especially when you get outside of Edinburgh and up into the Highlands --
Bruce Mowbray: and you can stay in any hostel as long as you like....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: sounds wonderful
Bruce Mowbray: so if you happen not to like the folks on one of the trips between hostels, you can wait for a day, and they'll have moved on!
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
Catrinamonblue Resident: my friend hitch hiked around Scotland
    Bruce Mowbray: oh wow.
    Bruce Mowbray: amazing.
Catrinamonblue Resident: he's one of those extreme people who use a tent :)
Bruce Mowbray: The trains are also excellent in Scotland.
Bruce Mowbray: tents are very cool.

    --BELL--

    Bruce Mowbray: and cheap.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist spent 89 days walking across America -- sleeping only in a tent.
Catrinamonblue Resident: :) he's been across Canada doing the same
    Bruce Mowbray: oh ! WONDERFUL!
Catrinamonblue Resident: Yes sometimes I feel a bit envious of his wandering ways
Bruce Mowbray: My typist is also a wanderer. . . .
Bruce Mowbray: (or WAS a wanderer).
Bruce Mowbray: Now he lets himself wander only about once a year.
Catrinamonblue Resident: It can be a hard life though, my friend has said he's envious of me and my house and settled life
    Bruce Mowbray: Yes, Indeed.
DR42 Resident: I like the facebook page flowers.
Bruce Mowbray: There were times on my typist's hike across America that he would have done almost anything for a warm bed and a hot shower.
Bruce Mowbray: but that's what makes wandering fascinating:
Bruce Mowbray: one never knows quite what the next day or night will bring.
DR42 Resident: Sent a FB friend request.
Bruce Mowbray: and usually it brought BLESSINGS beyond counting!
Catrinamonblue Resident: Our summers out east were never really planned, I always called it gypsy time
    Bruce Mowbray loves "Gypsy Time."
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray thinks he just found the title for this session in the wiki.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: love it :)
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Bruce Mowbray: Heya, Kori.
    DR42 Resident: ηαмαѕтє
Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Kori, I haven't seen you in a long while
    Bruce Mowbray: too long!
    Korel Laloix: Heya
Korel Laloix: I took a long PaB break.
    Bruce Mowbray: ahhhh!
Korel Laloix: Well.. a couple of weeks really.
    Bruce Mowbray: coooooooool!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
DR42 Resident: I think I should take a SL break. Like a few months, until next year.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, I know what you mean, Maude.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bruce Mowbray: but, at least my typist has THIS connection to the world -- since he has so few others.
Bruce Mowbray: afk for just a sec....
    Bruce Mowbray: brb.
Catrinamonblue Resident: So how has school been Kori?
Korel Laloix: Quiet day today for everyone?
Bruce Mowbray has returned and listens to catch the drift.
Catrinamonblue Resident: we listened to this song and have enjoyed talking about Scotland and Nova Scotia :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFtfk0bZVRM
    Bruce Mowbray: oh yes!
Korel Laloix: never been to either... both sound cold though
DR42 Resident: Need to say goodbye. Time for dinner. (Or time to make it, actually.)
Catrinamonblue Resident: Have a good Dinner Maude :)
Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now, Maude!
    Korel Laloix: Ciao

    --BELL--

Catrinamonblue Resident: Nova Scotia is beautiful and warm in the summer :)
Bruce Mowbray: oh yes, it is.
Bruce Mowbray: Love the Cup Song. Had never heard of it before today.
Korel Laloix: But not warm in the winter nor hot in the summer.. does not sound good to me.
Bruce Mowbray: My typist wants to fix supper now -- and the spend the evening working on his Sunday school lesson for tomorrow morning.
Bruce Mowbray: So, thank you, Kori, and Cat.
Catrinamonblue Resident: I guess that depends on your point of view :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: I hope to see you both again soon.
    Korel Laloix: Ciao.
Catrinamonblue Resident: Tomorrow at Blue's session?
    Catrinamonblue Resident: with Pema
Korel Laloix: Take care... back to RL myself.
Catrinamonblue Resident: Then I'm off too :)
Bruce Mowbray: I will be at Quaker Meeting at that hour, unfortunately, so I can't make that one.
Bruce Mowbray: But I will read about it in the PaB wiki.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: ah ok :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Bye for now!
Catrinamonblue Resident: Have a good dinner Bruce
