stevenaia Michinaga: the staging set for dreams to spring from
SophiaSharon Larnia: maybe the lowering of walls that you have around you when awake, for just a while
SophiaSharon Larnia: or more porous
stevenaia Michinaga: wonders when the dreams are released for us to experience, figures there is a stockpile of dream things waiting to emerge
SophiaSharon Larnia: i think dreams can be just reordering images, sounds, and conversation heard, and may mean nothing
Hokon Cazalet: ive found with my dreams, some things/people symbolize something, some dont

Issakar Mefusula: It can also imply something like "God wills it", though that's another phase, "Inshallah"
Issakar Mefusula: Salam alaykum is "Peace be upon you". It's said usually betweeen Muslims outside of the Arab word. But within the Arab world it can be used between anyone regardless of religious affiliation.
Issakar Mefusula: It usually goes,
Issakar Mefusula: Person A says, "Salam alaykum!" Person B says, "Walakum Salam!"
Issakar Mefusula: Which is like saying "And peace be upon you too."
Archmage Atlantis: I find that to bless someone, to acknowledge their belief, to seek the core of belief, and to understand that the power that created us.....those things have meaning to me

Issakar Mefusula: It's hard for me to label myself -- hard for anyone to really label their beliefs -- , but that one works better than some of the other more cryptic labels.
Issakar Mefusula: Yes, there is a lot that pantheism and shamanism share.
Archmage Atlantis: I understand
Issakar Mefusula: Pantheism generally implies a unified, conscious force of God being one with the universe, and also directing it.
Archmage Atlantis: The distinction, to me, is that in pantheism there are gods, in shamanism all are God

Archmage Atlantis: Yes, all of us as "God" do decide
Issakar Mefusula: Yes that sounds about right. But there is also another "branch" of pantheism called Panentheism. Basically, God/over-arching spiritual entity(ies) being within the universe, and everything being a kind of manifestation or emanation of this being.
Issakar Mefusula: It's a theological distinction though. Shamanism really emphasizes practice and molding one's mind to interact with nature. Pan/entheism tends to be... really an intellectual distinction.
Archmage Atlantis: There is a point at which I discontinure my questioning......not because questioning still needs to be......I just wear out
Issakar Mefusula: Oh, all right.
Issakar Mefusula: I am known to talk hours and hours and write pages and pages ;-)
