Wol Euler was guardian for this session, filling in for Eliza.

    Bruce Mowbray: Hey, Wol!
    Wol Euler: hello bruce!
Wol Euler: Eliza can't make it, alas, she is up to her ankles in baby cockroaches.
    Bruce Mowbray: OH NO!
Wol Euler: well, they may only be toenail-deep
Wol Euler: I didn't ask for an exact depth :)
Bruce Mowbray: That's too deep for moi!
Bruce Mowbray: Did she say how she's going to get rid of them?
Wol Euler: no, and again I didn't ask for details
    Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps moving?
    Bruce Mowbray: kk.
Wol Euler: I would presume that flamethrowers are not involved, since the kids are around
Wol Euler: one has to set a good example
Wol Euler: I guess she'll be giving them a "firm but fair" talking-to
Bruce Mowbray: Once when I'd returned from a long vacation, I found the house crawing with fleas....
Bruce Mowbray: presumably from a pet cat I had at the time.
    Wol Euler: erk
Bruce Mowbray: I fumigated the entire place with a few cans of stuff I bought at the hardware store....
Bruce Mowbray: came back about four hours later and every one of those fleas was belly-up.
Bruce Mowbray: Only had to sweep them all up wqith the vacuum.
    Wol Euler: good to know
Wol Euler: I hope you went in masked and opened every window for several hours?
Bruce Mowbray: Well, I lived in California at the time - and so had a small house.
    Bruce Mowbray: I did indeed.
    Wol Euler: good :)
Bruce Mowbray: (not masked.... just opened the windows, before vacuuming.
    Wol Euler: good :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Wol Euler: so, what's new with you?
Bruce Mowbray: Not much. Just returned from a walk down the road....
Bruce Mowbray: and cleaning house a bit.
Wol Euler: or rather, what is timeless with you?
    Wol Euler grins.
Bruce Mowbray: Pretty mundane affairs, huh?
Wol Euler: sounds like life to me.
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmmm.... Timelessssss.
    Bruce Mowbray ponders 'timelesssss"
Bruce Mowbray: I suppose time itself is timeless.
Bruce Mowbray: I mean, I can never seem to be anywhere except now (unless I'm wandering in my head.)
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: but I am so often wandering in my head :)
Wol Euler: either memories or fantasizing
Wol Euler: or planning and/or worrying
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, strange how such a small volume can provide so much space to wander in.
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bruce Mowbray: (speaking about the volume of mine, no insult intended about yours, Wol.)
    Wol Euler: :-P
    Wol Euler: none taken :)
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Wol Euler: though I was wondering what is small about our heads ...
Wol Euler: or rahter, our minds
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: when I visualize the public transport connections to get from A to B, my head is containing an entire city
Bruce Mowbray: Nothing "small" about minds... I don't think.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, an excellent example.
Bruce Mowbray: And how about when you're considering plane routes to Canada or somewhere else outside of Europe?
Bruce Mowbray: ooops. Sry about the bell.
    Bruce Mowbray: (speakers off).
Wol Euler: that's interesting, I realized when thinking about your question that I don'T visualize plane travel in that way
    Bruce Mowbray: really?
Wol Euler: it's a black box, closed at Frankfurt and opened again in Toronto
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Wol Euler: I think more about the plane itself than about where it's flying over
Bruce Mowbray: I usually make a mental image of the entire route -- also look it up on www.flightaware.com
    Bruce Mowbray: Hmmm.
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, planes are sort of magical.
    Wol Euler nods.
    Bruce Mowbray: like minds.
Wol Euler: the cathedrals of our time
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Wol Euler: perhaps the eternal "present time" of a remmebered memory is timelessness?
Bruce Mowbray: Wello, I think I should return to house cleaning - - since the mood to do it strikes so infrequently.
    Wol Euler: hehehehe
    Wol Euler: yes, carpe broom!
Bruce Mowbray: Ahhh. An excellent idea --- a memory of "present time" is . . . . (will ponder further whilst mopping kitchen floor.)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Bruce Mowbray: Be thee well, Wol!
Wol Euler: you too, dear bruce

    --BELL--

Wol Euler: Well, goodbye little listener. Time for me to move on.

Not moving from but moving TO.

It isn't quite this (lmao) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj3ra_B1PVU, though. Actually it is a pretty nice place but Miami has its charms.

Thanks Wol, for jumping in. :) edited 23:48, 28 Oct 2013
