    Qt Core: Hi Aph, Korel
    Aphrodite Macbain: Hi Qt
    Aphrodite Macbain: Welcome
Aphrodite Macbain: All is very quiet here; Korel is on the phone
Aphrodite Macbain: so I have been sitting, daydreaming
    Aphrodite Macbain: How are you?
    Qt Core: that's good
    Qt Core: almost good, ty
    Aphrodite Macbain: only almost?
Qt Core: i wasn't very well all day long, now I feel a little better
Aphrodite Macbain: ah- good. Any plans for the long weekend?
Qt Core: beside sleep ? ;-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: tired?
Qt Core: we are approaching some long weekends around here, after the 21 we have the 25 as a festive day and 1st may too (and many places/offices/schools will be closed on the 2nd too)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Pasqua?
Aphrodite Macbain: how do you cebrate Easter?
Qt Core: this sunday, liberation day on the 25th and labor day on the 1st
    Aphrodite Macbain: Liberation from what?
Qt Core: nazi, it is the celebration of the end of WW2
    Aphrodite Macbain: Interesting
Aphrodite Macbain: We eat chocolate at Easter and have Memorial Day on November 11
Qt Core: here too, big chocolate eggs with surprises into them
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: Sounds dangerous
Aphrodite Macbain: There is a theme for this session: orthodoxy
Aphrodite Macbain: Adhering to what is commonly accepted, customary, or traditional:
Qt Core: then the orthodox Easter dessert is this: (even more than chocolate): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colomba_di_Pasqua

Aphrodite Macbain: ah colomba, si - Easter dove
Aphrodite Macbain: Do you try to do things in unorthodox ways?
    Aphrodite Macbain: Looks delicious!!
Qt Core: i usually reserve the first places in the list of plausible solution to whatever issue to the orthodox solutions, after all sometimes it isn't just the orthodox one but the right one too
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
Aphrodite Macbain: so you make your own mind up
Aphrodite Macbain: I find that it is too easy to do things the way everyone does without questioning
Qt Core: so orthodox isn't always right, but it probably is
Aphrodite Macbain: I suppose it comes down to knowing your own biases
Aphrodite Macbain: For instance, I've stopped eating meat --sort of unorthodox but not unusual
Aphrodite Macbain: but it needed something to push me to change my habits
Qt Core: and that is quite a change
    Aphrodite Macbain: It's hard!
Aphrodite Macbain: Especially as I am trying to lose weight too
Aphrodite Macbain: I am really limited to what I can eat
    Aphrodite Macbain: even fish...
    Qt Core: i wish - i wouldn't know ;-)
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: It would be nice if someone invented low cal chocolate
Qt Core: some days ago i got angry at work in the morning, had to do something to vent it out... went to eat with an almost desperate desire for a steak to bite luckily i found one so i didn't bite colleagues in the afternoon
    Aphrodite Macbain: lol
Aphrodite Macbain: does eating steak make you feel calmer? Chewing on a steak takes away the aggression?
Qt Core: yes, got it rare too
Aphrodite Macbain: nice and bloody. That's really interesting
Aphrodite Macbain: I found that when I first came to SL I deliberately tried to be unorthodox to see what would happen. I deliberately wanted to challenge the way things were done and got into a lot of arguments. I've stopped that now....I'm  now part of the orthodox SL-ers
    Aphrodite Macbain: sigh
Qt Core: the orthodoxy of being unorthodox
    Aphrodite Macbain: he he
Qt Core: how many people wear in SL something they would wear (everyday) in RL ?
    Aphrodite Macbain: nods
    Aphrodite Macbain: me
Aphrodite Macbain: tho occasionally I dress up or become someone else
Qt Core: me too, i'm even wearing my red pants at the moment in RL ;-)
Aphrodite Macbain: do you come to SL to be more of you or of someone else?

Qt Core: more or less of me, being someone else would be tiring
Aphrodite Macbain: The cakes I'm giving you have no calories (hands Qt an image of a cake)
    Qt Core: ;-)
Aphrodite Macbain: Have you been to any of the sessions with Bruce recently?
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
    Qt Core: Sunday i think
Aphrodite Macbain: He has been talking about orthodoxy and Gnosticism
Aphrodite Macbain: and asks some interesting questions
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm interested in how the brain works and how it influences how we decide to do or how we act.
Aphrodite Macbain: I often wonder whether we are in control at all
Qt Core: and if we are which one of us ? the one who thinks, the one who comments or the one observe all this
    Aphrodite Macbain: :-)
Aphrodite Macbain: certainly not our rational brain
Aphrodite Macbain: maybe it is the same?
Aphrodite Macbain: sometimes I seem to bypass the thinking
Qt Core: just manifestation of something bigger and somewhat darker ?
    Aphrodite Macbain: like our subconscious?
    Qt Core: probably
Aphrodite Macbain: Freud and Jung say our subconscious (based on earlier experiences that we have forgotten but which have made a mark) often runs what we do and how we think
    Aphrodite Macbain: back to work....
    Qt Core: ok
Aphrodite Macbain: I'm glad you came- bye for now Qt.
    Qt Core: bye Aph
    Qt Core: ty
Qt Core: Bye Korel, need to go
