Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): I exchanged a few emails with Aphrodite before she went on her adventure... let me paste a little of that exchange...

My first thoughts on the matter would be to have (as has been before) one
My first thoughts on the matter would be to have (as has been before) one
45 minute session Friday evening at 2pm, just to allow those
participating to check in and set intentions. This time would allow Europeans
and Americans to attend, although it would overlap Zen's music session at
Perfect Paradise.
Saturday, would have two sessions, of 90 minutes each:
-a morning session at 7am (yes overlaps a session time, but one that no
one attends), in which we would have two meditation periods and one round of
contemplative sharing on our theme (TBD - ideas?)
-and 2pm (again for purposes of Europe/US), which would be a check in of how
personal retreat is so far going for each person attending.
[everyone would be encouraged to find some time to get outdoors for a bit
in between the two times]
Sunday would again have just one session, for about an hour,
to close/dedicate the session.
Agatha Macbeth: I wouldn't be able to make the Saturday ones
Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): this wouldn't be exclusive I think... would like to try to include as many as possible over the 3 days, yet keep continuity

Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): openings and closings are rather important... and Aph mentioned a bit of an idea of "labyrinths"... whether making a labyrinth outside of retreat house...

Zen (Zen Arado): just thinking that in a RL retreat the purpose is to get away from everyday life for that period of time but in SL people try to fit in their usual things

Zen (Zen Arado): it really takes you to get away somewhere for a real retreat I guess
Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): our basis for (this) mandala is ourselves and RLs such as they happen to be happening

Zen (Zen Arado): yeh ..in SL retreats there are so many tempting things to do in RL

Eos Amaterasu: I think of it as both RL and SL, with SL being where we quasi-physically meet together

Yaku (Yakuzza Lethecus): also for external ppl, if ur not there ur not there, if ur there but not answering ur rude

Zen (Zen Arado): yeh easy to pretend you are there..but that has always been a problem for me with SL meditation
Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): ultimately the accountability is to ourselves
Zen (Zen Arado): perhaps that's why they are kept so short?

Lucinda Lavender: I guess I have never done one...i can imagine them to be profound and somewhat challenging to hold to...when RL gets intense...but I like the idea and for those who can it seems great...

Eliza (Eliza Madrigal): I even think it is OK not to verbally participate - when your turn in the circle comes around and you respond with "pass" and that's perfectly fine
