The Guardian for this meeting was Agatha Macbeth. The comments are by Agatha Macbeth. I waited alone for 20 minutes, then Wol arrived.
Wol Euler: hey babe
Agatha Macbeth: Good lord a guardian!
Agatha Macbeth: I must ring the local paper
Wol Euler: nah, I'm off duty
Agatha Macbeth: Wow nice dress
Wol Euler: thanks! vitabela
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, thought so
Agatha Macbeth: And here comes QT :)
Agatha Macbeth: Buona sera
Wol Euler: taking up where we left off, heheheh
Qt Core: Hi Agatha, Wol
Agatha Macbeth: Right, what were we talking about this morning? :p
Wol Euler: let me just go and chnge out of my working clothes .....
Agatha Macbeth: Never saw working clothes like that before
Agatha Macbeth: What's an interrobang used for QT?
Qt Core: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interrobang
Agatha Macbeth looks
Qt Core: i usually favor the sisbelief and rethorical use ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Ah I see, it combines the two
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how they do it in Spain, with their upside down question marks
Qt Core: A reverse and upside down interrobang (combining ¿ and ¡, Unicode character: ⸘), suitable for starting phrases in Spanish, Galician and Asturian is called an "inverted interrobang" or a gnaborretni (interrobang written backwards)
Santoshima Resident: 's current display-name is "San".
Qt Core: (from the article)
Agatha Macbeth: There you go
Agatha Macbeth: Hello San
Santoshima Resident: hi
Agatha Macbeth: They think of everything
Qt Core: Hi San
Santoshima Resident: hi
Wol Euler: hello san
Qt Core: some jokes are good only it toke to the extremes (or not considered jokes at all)
Agatha Macbeth: WB
Agatha Macbeth grins
Agatha Macbeth: Only just got in Wollie?
Wol Euler: yeah
Agatha Macbeth: I do hope you've eaten
Wol Euler: I am eating now
Wol Euler: as we speak
Agatha Macbeth: No coffee yet?
Wol Euler: typing with my hands full heheheheh
Agatha Macbeth smiles
Agatha Macbeth: Busy girl
Agatha Macbeth: I must take a look at your place in Buyeo sometime San
--BELL--1330
Wol Euler: aggers, since you asked, I had coffee in the office. Still none at home
Agatha Macbeth: Well I wish you every success in your venture to locate a new supply
Wol Euler: thank you!
Santoshima Resident: ditto
Agatha Macbeth: You really wouldn't think one would encounter such a problem in this day and age
Santoshima Resident: ( buyeo teahouse is a truffle )
Santoshima Resident: welcome anytime
Qt Core: maybe sone online shop
Santoshima Resident: nope, my Sl home
Wol Euler: well, it's only a problem because I am being fussy. I want fair-trade highland-grown low-acidity mild-roasted coffe
Wol Euler: stuff called "coffee" is available in every store and even some gas stations
Agatha Macbeth: High acid...what?
Wol Euler: exactly
Agatha Macbeth: Oh, right
Agatha Macbeth: Does it really make a difference?
Wol Euler: yes, it does
Agatha Macbeth: Fair enough
Santoshima Resident: cuppa cocoa instead?
Wol Euler: the stuff I drink is much easier on my stomach and my nerves
Wol Euler: and my conscience
Agatha Macbeth: To me, coffee's coffee, EOS
Agatha Macbeth: Guess I'm just easily pleased
Wol Euler: perhaps :)
Agatha Macbeth: So other kinds of coffee make you nervous?
Wol Euler: mmhmm
Qt Core: i few months ago i tried coffee for the first time in my life, thrice, in three different places to be sure... never tasted something so terrible
Wol Euler: irritable, unsettled
Wol Euler: wow :)
Santoshima Resident: yeah
Agatha Macbeth grins @ QT
Wol Euler: well, qt, it is certainly true that the beans always smell much better than the brew tastes
Agatha Macbeth: Something to do with cafeine (sp?)
Qt Core: i never tried it as i don't like the smell, but now the smell is almost good as it make me think about the taste
Qt Core: i had to cut my usual caffeine source (coke/pepsi) so decided to try coffee... never again
Agatha Macbeth: When you think about it, I guess it's a good thing we think about what we put in our bodies
Wol Euler grins.
Agatha Macbeth: Oh coke...yuk
Agatha Macbeth: I prefer water
Santoshima Resident: those carbonated drinks without the sugar and added flavours would taste similar to coffee, yes?
Santoshima Resident: just as terrible, likely
Santoshima Resident: and without the theme songs and kazillion dollars of ads churning in one's brain as one sips.
Santoshima Resident: probably just as bad
Agatha Macbeth: At least it doesn't play it while you drink :p
Wol Euler: oh coffee has a theme song too! hehehe
Wol Euler: just a sec
Agatha Macbeth: It does?
Santoshima Resident: i like coffee i like tea?
Agatha Macbeth: I know that one
Bruce Mowbray: 's current display-name is "Bruce".
Agatha Macbeth: Yay Brucie
Qt Core: Hi Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Heya, everyone. Sorry to be so late. A rough day.
Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Santoshima Resident: hello Bruce
Bruce Mowbray: Namaste, San-ji.
Agatha Macbeth: Anything you feel like ranting about?
Agatha Macbeth: :p
Bruce Mowbray: Me. Nope.
Agatha Macbeth: Ok
Bruce Mowbray: Just feel like being quiet for a change.
Agatha Macbeth: It helps sometimes
Wol Euler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWRyIflifgY
Bruce Mowbray: but ty for asking.
Agatha Macbeth: YW
Agatha Macbeth: Us agony aunts are always here :)
Bruce Mowbray: THAT's IT!!! The Bossa Nova!
Bruce Mowbray: what a relief.
Agatha Macbeth: Eh?
Agatha Macbeth looks round
Agatha Macbeth: Did I miss something
Wol Euler: you missed a link
Bruce Mowbray: You missed Woly's YouTube link.
Agatha Macbeth looks
Bruce Mowbray: snap.
Agatha Macbeth: Oh THAT one
Qt Core: speaking about coffee this may be relevant too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGtKGX8B9hU ;-)
--BELL--1345
Bruce Mowbray: Vive la France!
Agatha Macbeth: Does it grow anywhere else apart from Brasil?
Bruce Mowbray: Yes.
Agatha Macbeth: Hi Zenny
Bruce Mowbray: They grow a lot of it in Columbia, Panama, all those Central American countries.
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
Bruce Mowbray: Heya, Zen.
Agatha Macbeth: Not sure what kind of climate it requires
Bruce Mowbray: Columbia*
Zen Arado: Hi all
Qt Core: Hi Zen
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, of course- Columbia...Maxwell House
Bruce Mowbray: Well, here's clue: It does NOT grow in London or in Southern Ohio.
Agatha Macbeth: So warm then?
Bruce Mowbray: yeppers.
Zen Arado: unless you have a setup?
Zen Arado: with big lights
Agatha Macbeth: I know tea comes from India and thereabouts
Zen Arado: an operation
Santoshima Resident: hi Zen
Bruce Mowbray: (We are talking about coffee, aren't we?)
Agatha Macbeth: I am
Zen Arado: oh?
Bruce Mowbray: me too, aggers.
Zen Arado: thought it was marijuana
Agatha Macbeth: Dunno about anyone else :p
Agatha Macbeth: I definitely don't drink marijuana
Zen Arado: Colombia is a big drugs place
Bruce Mowbray: Marijuana grows like weeds in Ohio!
Bruce Mowbray: and it is encouraged to grow like that.
Agatha Macbeth: Oh yes, course
Bruce Mowbray: The pigs and cows LOVE it!
Bruce Mowbray: Ever seen a stoned cow?
Santoshima Resident: nope
Zen Arado: doesn#t grow in N.Ireland I think
Wol Euler: hello zen
Agatha Macbeth: Can't say so
Santoshima Resident: gota pic, bruce?
Agatha Macbeth: Are they horny?
Zen Arado: too cold
Agatha Macbeth: Mooo man
Bruce Mowbray: No, but I've seen them. . . after they have consumed a pasture full of illegally grown pot.
Bruce Mowbray: Talk about BLISS!
Santoshima Resident: cash crop? or cow crop?
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder what the milk tastes like?
Bruce Mowbray: Mooey mooey moooooo!
Zen Arado: what's the milk like?
Qt Core: wonder about the milk...
Agatha Macbeth: Snap (x3)
Qt Core: ;-)
Santoshima Resident: might help the taste of the coffee, qt
Wol Euler: heheheh
Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
Agatha Macbeth: We must get some for Wollie's coffee (if she ever finds any)
Bruce Mowbray: LOVE that, San.
Wol Euler raises an eyebrow.
Wol Euler: why me?
Santoshima Resident: ditto
Agatha Macbeth: Why not?
Wol Euler: fair enough
Agatha Macbeth: Milch macht's nichtwahr? ;-)
Bruce Mowbray ponders making 90 degree angles in his archetectural blueprints after a few cups of such coffe.
Bruce Mowbray: Those dwellings would look like my typist's house, actually.
Agatha Macbeth: Why is my building upside down?
Bruce Mowbray: ABANDON HOPE FOR RIGH ANGLES, ARE YOU WHO ENTER HERE!
Bruce Mowbray: RIGHT*
Wol Euler: dyslexic builder
Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Agatha Macbeth: Yeh, settle for 120 degrees
Agatha Macbeth: Pisa would love it
Zen Arado: the tyranny of the right angle
Agatha Macbeth: I blame Pythagoras
Agatha Macbeth: Him and his adjacent squares
Zen Arado: yeh with his hypoteneuse squares
Zen Arado: whatever
Qt Core: poor guy, he even tried to keep that secret
Agatha Macbeth: And as for Archimedes...
Zen Arado: the square of the hypoteneuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides?
Wol Euler: I remember the sense of awe and wonder I felt when I first read "3² + 4² = 5²"
Zen Arado: yeh
Wol Euler: that's it
Agatha Macbeth: E=mc2
Wol Euler: that is such an amazing thing.
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how he found out?
Bruce Mowbray: [13:55] Bruce (bruce.mowbray) hums "Angles we have seen on high... Sweetly singing o'er the hypotenuse...." [13:55] Bruce (bruce.mowbray): And the theorems in reply, Echoing the joyous moose! [13:56] Bruce (bruce.mowbray): [done] [13:56] Bruce (bruce.mowbray) hangs head.
Zen Arado: wonders how Wol can write suffixes
Agatha Macbeth: She has the power :p
Wol Euler: by cheating :) I used the character chart, and copy and place
Zen Arado: ah
Santoshima Resident: good
Agatha Macbeth: Beats using ^
Bruce Mowbray loves -ment and -ness.....
Wol Euler: *paste
Agatha Macbeth: Who is?
Zen Arado: it is a very important theory in maths
Wol Euler: three minutes to Bertie
Zen Arado: Pythagoras
Agatha Macbeth: Two actually
Bruce Mowbray: Yikes!
Bruce Mowbray: Thanks. I've lost all track of time today.
Santoshima Resident: ok, time to pack ~ evening gents
Bruce Mowbray: Namaste, San!
Wol Euler: bye san!
Zen Arado: departs for Bertieland
Agatha Macbeth: Pack well Sanji
Wol Euler: bye qt, see you anon
Zen Arado: byee
Qt Core: bye
Agatha Macbeth: Ciao QT
Wol Euler: yeah
Bruce Mowbray: ON to the Berti trail!
