Yakuzza Lethecus: oh yes, usually wol and bruce are here
Yakuzza Lethecus: ur doing ur dj session tonight ?
    Zen Arado: yeh
    Zen Arado: doing 60's gig
    Zen Arado: set
    Zen Arado: easy for me
    Zen Arado: I was there:)
Yakuzza Lethecus: hehe, but even you have had been young then :)
    Zen Arado: 1960 I was 17
Zen Arado: spent most of 60's in Australia
    Zen Arado: 61 - 69
Yakuzza Lethecus: why did you come bakc ?
    Zen Arado: for a holiday
Zen Arado: but I got a jobe here and thought it best to stay
    Zen Arado: job
Zen Arado: travel was expensive then
    Zen Arado: Hi Wol :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: it´s still expensive, depending on income
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey wol
    Wol Euler: hello zen, yaku
Zen Arado: but relatively it is cheap now
Zen Arado: maybe ten times cheaper
Zen Arado: ravel didn't become cheap until the advent of big planes
Zen Arado: jumbos and Freddie Laker etc organising cheap flights
    Zen Arado: early 70's
    Wol Euler: hello qt
    Qt Core: Hi all!
    Zen Arado: Hi Qt
Wol Euler: ah, Freddie Laker, there's a name I haven't heard in ages
    Zen Arado: yeh
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey qt
Zen Arado: he started cheap air flights
Zen Arado: unless someone did it in other cuntrues too?
    Zen Arado: :Hi San:)
    Santoshima Resident: hello everyone
Wol Euler: he was the first that I knew of
    Wol Euler: hello san
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hej san :)
Zen Arado: the 747 helped too :)
Wol Euler: at least, he was the first who thought that it could be a general policy for all flights, instead of just having one or two cheap routes and the rest expensive
Zen Arado: yeh..people started having cheap holidays to Spain from UK
Wol Euler: (talking about the price of travel, San)
    Santoshima Resident: ty
Zen Arado: perhaps that hastened global warming though
Yakuzza Lethecus: actually if you travel alone airtravel isn´t such a bad thing
Yakuzza Lethecus: especially the no frills airlines are often greener for economic reasons then the frills once
Zen Arado: yeh but it's relative
Zen Arado: wonder how much greener a passenger liner was
Zen Arado: do they still do the Atlantic crossing?
Wol Euler: in the coalburning days? not really
Zen Arado: but they held about 2000 passengers
Wol Euler: oceangoing ships burn awful stuff, extremely heavily polluting
    Zen Arado: heavy fuel oil
    Zen Arado: like power stations

    --BELL--

Zen Arado: wow some of those cruise liners carry 6000 plus
    Zen Arado: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...t_cruise_ships
    Santoshima Resident: floating villages
    Zen Arado: yes
    Zen Arado: I better go
Qt Core: i've been on nr. 52 on that list
    Qt Core: bye Zen
    Zen Arado: great Qt
    Zen Arado: byee
    Santoshima Resident: bye zne
    Santoshima Resident: en
    Santoshima Resident: zen :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye zen
    Wol Euler: bye zen
Qt Core: (and her sister ship is the one that shipwrecked here in italy some time ago
Wol Euler: yeah, I just saw that
Wol Euler: listed as "out of service". heheheh
Yakuzza Lethecus: yes, also looked for the concordia :)
    Qt Core: https://picasaweb.google.com/1104762...rum2006General
Wol Euler: I'm reading the wikipedia page for the largest ship, it's fascinating
Wol Euler: cost 1.2 billion US$
Wol Euler: how on earth do companies pay that kind of money?`
Wol Euler: because there are two of these :)
Wol Euler: owned by the same firm
Qt Core: better for a crouse ship than for an aircraft carrier
Wol Euler: well :) the aircraft carrier is probably cheaper, excluding the planes
Qt Core: but surealy has less happy colours
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: and no 2 stage dance hall on board
Wol Euler: " including the first Starbucks coffee shop at sea." hejheheeh
Yakuzza Lethecus: i think venice now made laws against cruise ships in the laguna
Qt Core: yes, but there is some legal issues and hearings about it as they are fighting about who has the authority do impose such a ban

    --BELL--

Yakuzza Lethecus: did you spend easter with ur families ?
Wol Euler: no, I stayed home, read and napped
    Wol Euler: mostly
Qt Core: i live with them, so yes ;-) even if a popular saying hera say "Christmas with your family, Easter with whomever you want"
    Wol Euler: :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: we had two easter lunches, my mother could come from germany, it was nice but short
    Wol Euler: oh, nice
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye san
Santoshima Resident: should get going ... woke late today ... sun is still up
    Santoshima Resident: bfn
Santoshima Resident: have a great weekend
