stevenaia Michinaga: I was sent a link to a paper by one of the PaB Guardians about "movement based contemplative practices" I think it was by Fox
Falze1 Resident: I thought we met once and I had you on friends list
Falze1 Resident: mistaken (again)
stevenaia Michinaga: let me see if I can find the link,
stevenaia Michinaga: it relates to Tai Chi and Yoga and meditation
Lucinda Lavender: not sure...I have been absent alot for a while. feeling reenergized a bit.
Falze1 Resident: good
Falze1 Resident: where did you get the re-energizers?
Falze1 Resident: I need llots
Lucinda Lavender: well a change of diet, and meditation I think

stevenaia Michinaga: https://www.academia.edu/10463363/First-person_experience_and_yoga_research_studying_neural_correlates_of_an_intentional_practice
stevenaia Michinaga: you have to make an account to download it
Lucinda Lavender: sounds very interesting since I have done yoga for some years...less recently but still...
Falze1 Resident: do I have to write and submit a paper to that site to get a paper :)
stevenaia Michinaga: no,
stevenaia Michinaga: just create an account
Lucinda Lavender: reading a bit here.
stevenaia Michinaga: I can understand about 1/2 of it :)
Lucinda Lavender: right me too
stevenaia Michinaga: But I get the sence of where she si going
Lucinda Lavender: bookmarking for later
stevenaia Michinaga: I think you should be about to download it as a PDF for later consumption
stevenaia Michinaga: *able
Lucinda Lavender: ok
Falze1 Resident: sorry, got reading instead of chatting
stevenaia Michinaga: Strangely I have been sleeping deeply lately and have not remembered any of my dreams for quite some time, used to remember many
Lucinda Lavender: no problem:)
Falze1 Resident: who is Elizaveta in PaB?
stevenaia Michinaga: I think she is Fox, but I may be incorrect, she is a dream researcher in MOntreal
stevenaia Michinaga: I met her once when I was there on vacation
Lucinda Lavender: I went through a period of not remembering much dreamwise andseem to remembering more now
Lucinda Lavender: seem to be
Lucinda Lavender: I had an interesting dream image the other day
stevenaia Michinaga: actually I believe she works in the realm of nightmares
Falze1 Resident: that would be very strange work
Falze1 Resident: /listens
Lucinda Lavender: I was visiting a coworkers house, and under a skylight there was a fountain with angels made of gold that were in the four directions.
stevenaia Michinaga: I think some people have enough of them that you can bring them to a lab and watch them have them sto study what goes on there
stevenaia Michinaga: assumes this was a dream, Luci?
Lucinda Lavender: yes it was a dream
Lucinda Lavender: feels kind of calm and healing as an image
--BELL--
Falze1 Resident: very very sorry (and disappointed) but I have to leave now.
Falze1 Resident: bye
Lucinda Lavender: The angels faced inward and water came up from the center.
Lucinda Lavender: bye for now:)
stevenaia Michinaga: bye Mystic
stevenaia Michinaga: thinking back, have you have had period of theme related dreams, I don;t think I ever had
Lucinda Lavender: well I have yes. Choir dreams, stone dreams, old boyfriend, etc
stevenaia Michinaga: stone dreams?
Lucinda Lavender: after studying dreaming as a spiritual practice I started to notice more ceremonial sorts of dream
stevenaia Michinaga: how long did they last, were they sequential in nature over time?
Lucinda Lavender: stone like crystals of variable kinds. I have written down dreams for many years and the topics vary a bit but i see the stones in the dream sometimes...
Lucinda Lavender: the feeling islike the color and light are special
stevenaia Michinaga: what do you mean "dreaming as a spiritual practice " like lucid dreaming
Lucinda Lavender: after studying the work of the teacher I found i would dream in to the topics that made sense with her work
stevenaia Michinaga: was that helpful to her work?
stevenaia Michinaga: like dreaming on cue
Lucinda Lavender: well dreaming as a spiritual practice was the name of a course I took. and the kinds of dreams were discussed with the idea that we are dreaming into collective source. sometimes a dream could be about the collective field of consciousness...rather than personal. Tho personal is valid too.
Lucinda Lavender: yes it was sort of like dreaming for her landscape
Lucinda Lavender: The dreams became more "spiritual" seeming
Lucinda Lavender: so perhaps suggestion is what happens but it was partly feeling connected to other dreamers that lead me to feel more open
stevenaia Michinaga: nice
Lucinda Lavender: more playful in the dream...more lucid too
Lucinda Lavender: take the dream and turn it over in your mind as a stone with facets
--BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: dreams as a faceted stone, interesting
Lucinda Lavender: i think this might not sound scientific but each dream was looked at in light of the placement of the planets when the dream was had.
stevenaia Michinaga: suspect astrologists would disagree and think it is very scientific
Lucinda Lavender: i was not particularly interested in astrology but I found it all very inspiring anyway
Lucinda Lavender: it was a spiritual version of astrology
Lucinda Lavender: and i have always entered into it with a sense of looking for the beauty I could find.
Lucinda Lavender: It was about the "soul" .
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Lucinda Lavender: and the placements (degrees) informed one as to the "invisible garment we come to wear.
stevenaia Michinaga: invisible garment?
Lucinda Lavender: yep:)
stevenaia Michinaga: you mean like what we are made of
Lucinda Lavender: the degrees of the birth chart= the invisible garment we wear
stevenaia Michinaga: hmmm, not familiar with that
Lucinda Lavender: well...we arrive and have potential to deliver certain gifts while alive
Lucinda Lavender: yep pretty different:)
stevenaia Michinaga: Connie Kaplan, comes up in that search
Lucinda Lavender: we don't see the garment per se but we have potential to
Lucinda Lavender: yes that is she!
stevenaia Michinaga: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-invisible-garment-connie-kaplan/1113645193?ean=2940012350152
Lucinda Lavender: I was very engaged due to the big dreams I started having. and it helped me to accept them...and not worry that every one was going to come true
Lucinda Lavender: personally.
Lucinda Lavender: even tho some did come true
stevenaia Michinaga: I don;t think I ever had a dream that came true
--BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: I suppose it could have and I jsut didn;t remember the dram
stevenaia Michinaga: Dream
Lucinda Lavender: yes I bet. well themes that slowly unfold and wake me up as mysterious....those ones I watch carefully
Lucinda Lavender: I think the angel fountain dream might just be a healing image...for me or others.
Lucinda Lavender: and the gold shining under the skylight suggests something too
Lucinda Lavender: I don't think about angels...maybe they are a healing image
stevenaia Michinaga: bed time for me, thanks for co-hosting tonight
Lucinda Lavender: sure! sweet dreams!
stevenaia Michinaga: night luci
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
