Qt Core: while doing a little walk i had a huge #firstworldproblem

Qt Core: muffins are sold atr a bar/patisserie less than 100 meters from my home
Wol Euler: ... and now you have no reason to walk any further?

Qt Core: at the moment i only tasted the big one very chocolate dark sprinkled with chocolate chips and with a chocolate cream heart one ;-)

Qt Core: i mostly wlaked around a nearby square, visiting a few ships and window gazing the others, a very different feeling than mall shops

Qt Core: while at the mall you can feel the "fakeness" of clerks attitude at local shops it feels more authentic, even when (mostly the owners instead of the clerks) seem to be bothered just by the presence of customers (something i've never understood)
Wol Euler: heheheheh, yes that often happens
Wol Euler: perhaps they enjoyed the quiet before?
Wol Euler: the whole mall feels fake to me, right down to the air you breathe
Qt Core: don't know, almost as if they don't like my money ;-)
Wol Euler: "excuse me, but why are you here if not to take my money? IS this some secret masonic society?"
Qt Core: just a front end for some illegal traffic ?

Qt Core: in best of cases malls are "business-like" you know why we are here, we even try to fish you here, do your deed and go, please

Wol Euler: that's in their nature, in a way, since they are dead ends cut off from the street pattern

Qt Core: or the next one: only a few times i met someone sincere (or better then my anti-deceiving shields)
Qt Core: and fake or not it was a nice surprise

Qt Core: (sometimes i hate this times that make one assume that everything bad is true and everything good is faked)
Wol Euler: agreed
Wol Euler: all the more reason to support local businesses, whenever you can find one
Qt Core: yes, but one can't really ignore the prices differences, sometimes big enough to cover for the hidden ones from those local shops closing

Wol Euler: well ... I admit that I don't do all my shopping in the local corner store, but I do buy basics there nearly every day.

Qt Core: speaking about compromises: yesterday, for the third time in my life (and past couple months) i had to go to a client ;-)
Wol Euler: egad!
Wol Euler: did you get a danger allowance on your salary?
Qt Core: no, but i got a bodyguard/driver getting me there ;-)

Qt Core: and that was good yesterday as it was almost 300 km away
Wol Euler: I always used to enjoy going to customers' sites, I liked seeing what they actually did with the software. Plus they usually fed me.

Wol Euler: just the travelling makes that a long day
Qt Core: got out of home ad 6:30am got home at 8:40 pm
