This afternoon, walking down the aisles of a temple of consumerism.
It is both wonderful and scary to reach one's mid-forties with just enough self-awareness to glimpse how much one hasn't learned and simply cannot consider, in so many realms. It is wonderful because that unknowing is the fuel to be alive... humility to fathom the life; it is scary because one actually realizes they are missing so many truly important and necessary elements...
