Contemplating how I make friends, and how friends make me, after listening to a good lecture on Confucian role ethics, and reading yesterday's spontaneous Poetry. :)
I learned just this afternoon that one of my best friends in high school had died. Steve was a "stutterer," and he became a professional speech therapist to help others through the same challenges he faced when young. He sang in our church choir - and from him I learned that one way stutterers can overcome stammering is by "pretending to sing" when they speak. Here's a fine tribute to my friend -- a fine tribute to a wonderful human being:

Heya, Cat - - - - Your photo of hand-feeding chickadees was absolutely inspirational. I hope you don't mind that I've given it a 90-degree-rotation and re-posted it today. THANK YOU for that photo!

Could it really have run by without finding this spot?
