Wol Euler was guardian and commenter for this session.
sophia Placebo: morning
Wol Euler: hello sophia
Wol Euler: nice to see you again
sophia Placebo: how are you ?
Fael Illyar: Hi Wol, Sophia :)
sophia Placebo: hi fael
Wol Euler: hello fael
Wol Euler: I'm well, thanks, but distracted by thoughts of work today and probably all weekend too :(
Wol Euler: I'm having some trouble being in the moment.
Fael Illyar: Ah... it happens. It's fine, everyone has moments like that sometimes :)
Wol Euler: yeah, I know; but I still find it a little sad.
Fael Illyar: I've found that being in the moment happens naturally when I give up trying to be in it.
sophia Placebo: poor wol
Fael Illyar: (but keep the will to be in it)
Wol Euler: ty
Wol Euler: and you? how are your studies going?
Fael Illyar: me? sophia?
Wol Euler: sophia, but feel free to comment.
Fael Illyar: I'm good :) Had another heavy feeling morning but that's passed mostly already.
Fael Illyar: not studying anything concrete for the moment so can't really say :)
sophia Placebo: it is fine so far , though much must be done and studied , but im happy with how my brain functions these days , without crashes
Wol Euler: :)
Fael Illyar smiles.
Wol Euler: yeah, I hate having to reboot after a brain crash.
Fael Illyar: my brain crashes have become pretty infrequent lately :)
sophia Placebo: lol
sophia Placebo: cool feeling isnt fael
Fael Illyar: although, I have to admit I'm not entirely sure what you mean with brain crashes :)
sophia Placebo: hmm not sure myself either
Fael Illyar: but yes, it's nice :)
Wol Euler: what I think of when you say "brain crash" is the opposite of Flow
--BELL--
Wol Euler: falling out of that state of concentration and immersion
Fael Illyar smiles.
sophia Placebo nods to wol
Wol Euler: like a mental equivalent of suddenly losing your body memory for an activity.
sophia Placebo: though im still working to fix the immersion card
Fael Illyar: Ah, very nice analogy :)
Wol Euler: standing there with a tool in your hand and suddenly no memory of how to use it.
Wol Euler: is that what you meant? :)
sophia Placebo: part of it yes
sophia Placebo: well , crashes couldnt be the same for everyone me think
Wol Euler nods
Wol Euler: what triggers them for you? have you figured that out?
sophia Placebo: the crashes?
sophia Placebo: i maintain one willfully for years
Wol Euler raises an eyebrow.
sophia Placebo: ^^
sophia Placebo: stupid girl iam i know
Wol Euler: no.
Wol Euler: tell us more? (unless it's private, then I'll ask again another time when we are not being recorded)
sophia Placebo: just too many thoughts that i didnt need or couldnt use them , hmm not sure cuz that was years ago and i dont keep a notes
Wol Euler nods
sophia Placebo: so worked on my brain to stop it from making too many , but i crash it
sophia Placebo: and that was a disaster , but i dont know if i regret what i've done
Wol Euler: perhaps you might rather regret the circumstances that made you need to do that?
sophia Placebo: nop
Wol Euler: (though "regret" is not quite the right word for that)
sophia Placebo: circumstances werent bad , merely a stupid method to managed too many thoughts
Wol Euler: ah, ok; I was thinking in the wrong direction.
Fael Illyar: well, that is circumstances too.
sophia Placebo: hehe maybe
--BELL--
Wol Euler: how do you manage them now? or are they no longer "too many"?
sophia Placebo: im welcoming them , really missed them ^^
Fael Illyar: I'm finding that when my head is too full of thoughts, I'm trying to distract myself from something.
Wol Euler smiles
sophia Placebo: still not that many but i hop i'll fix my mess
Fael Illyar: if you fix a mess enough, it'll stop being a mess and be a masterpiece :)
sophia Placebo: exactly that what i've should done fael , hmm sadly i didnt knew you befor so you could give that advice
Fael Illyar: I couldn't have given it much before now :P
Wol Euler nods and smiles.
sophia Placebo: :)
Wol Euler: the teacher arrives when the pupil is ready.
sophia Placebo: true
Wol Euler: me-right-now could have given me-as-teenager so much good advice, but me-as-teenager would not have listened, wasn't able to listen to that stuff then.
sophia Placebo: poor teens
Wol Euler: mmhmm
Fael Illyar: yes... that's how it goes unfortunately.
Fael Illyar: the advice would've needed to come much earlier in a different shape.
Wol Euler: yep
sophia Placebo: do we label teens sometimes ?
--BELL--
Fael Illyar: "we" would mean who exactly?
sophia Placebo: do we-adults- label teens , as taking them for granted that the do such and such
Fael Illyar: yes and no would both equally valid answers but neither is true.
Wol Euler: perhaps no more than we label each other?
sophia Placebo: we do label also our teen selves too
Wol Euler: and perhaps some of that is physically valid too. There are stages of development, e.g. all 2 year old children are annoying
sophia Placebo: :)
sophia Placebo: 2 year old dosnt understand the abstract , true
Wol Euler: labelling ourselves, yes.
Wol Euler: in subtle ways too, like the kind of other teens we hang around with, which groups we join
sophia Placebo nods
sophia Placebo: and some labels are still sticking on our backs or forehead
Wol Euler: mmhmm
sophia Placebo: seen as piece of skin
Wol Euler: phone, brb
sophia Placebo: i g2g , sorry if i've been talkative and bored you , see you later !
Fael Illyar: See you later Sophia :)
Fael Illyar: No, you haven't bored us... at least not me
sophia Placebo: :)
--BELL--
Fael Illyar: wb Wol :)
Wol Euler: ty!
Wol Euler: sorry about that...
Wol Euler: and now, work calls :/
Wol Euler: bye for now, take care, be happy
