doug Sosa: well, i started with the issue; lying vs, realism. that is the point of contact. i think i might try the 90 sec every fifteen minutes though.
doug Sosa: what i wanted was to explore the experience of being caught between perception and being helpful.

doug Sosa: you know, that lagugae doesn't get me. It stats with the issue of being caught. what really is that xperience, how does it look in 9 sec? and from thee to slowly model, not explicitly perhaps, the fifteen minute reflections.

doug Sosa: Piet's original impulse was to loosen up scientists in their thinking, less concepts, more experience.
doug Sosa: So thinking about the interpaly between science and public policy for climate change seems like a anatural.
doug Sosa: but maybe the issue is broader. what to do when domins of thought overlap? Right now it is the way finance, politcs, tech innovation, and climate effects merge.
doug Sosa: For me persoanally the 9 sec has been a big help in not panicking.

Paradise Tennant: I talked to a woman to day who had survived cancer .. she thinks largely through meditation... a chanting meditation she would do with her circle of friends .. the connnection ..the love... she is convinced help her survive
Pila Mulligan: I watched a YouTube video of Piet's addressing a sceince seminar about loosening up in their scientistific thinking -- some reacted with antagonism
doug Sosa: Hm, i talked to a friend's wife today. he is slowly dying of cancer, just becoming ephemeral. not pain, but sleeps 22 hours a day, not much energy for a phone call.
doug Sosa: his kids have arrived from spain and mass, so i think his wife thinks it is the end.

doug Sosa: 55 year friendship.

doug Sosa: but, taoism for years, watching life, you know it is not so hard.

doug Sosa: yes, in important ways. but it is the living one must grieve for in a death, they are left bereft, the dead are absorbed inbeing without a new trace.

Paradise Tennant: yes our sorrow .. emerges from our own loss :)) still find I miss being able to have tea with my dad.. very personal .. gaps in your life emerge when you lose loved ones :0
