    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Samúð :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Eliza :)
    Eliza Madrigal: All well?
    oO0Oo Resident: :)))
Eliza Madrigal: Just heard that Bleu did indeed win an award for one of her videos

    --BELL--

oO0Oo Resident: Oh nice! Thanks for saying. :)) That's great.
Eliza Madrigal: Think it is called "Art of Mind"
    oO0Oo Resident: OK.. wonderful.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Eliza Madrigal: Tonight it would be nice to do a direct exploration of APAPB... if you (and others who may arrive) are game....
oO0Oo Resident: Thank you for the email about “Appreciate the presence of appearance as a presentation by Being”, and “Appreciate the presence of appearance.”
Eliza Madrigal: ah, most welcome :)
oO0Oo Resident: and it *would* be nice
Eliza Madrigal: :)) nothing fancy of course... just allowing the pauses to be time to explore and then share notes/reports
Eliza Madrigal: I made a short notecard, a few of the snippets given in the longer email...

oO0Oo Resident: what would fancy be?
    oO0Oo Resident: ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: notecard.. nods
Eliza Madrigal: starting at the end? :)
    oO0Oo Resident reads notecard.. ty
Eliza Madrigal: the reason I made the note is that I wondered about taking the last section, and using bite sized portions as frames for the pauses...
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, wait... middle part actually :)

oO0Oo Resident: OK so.. maybe suggest one for the next pause?
    oO0Oo Resident: a lozenge
    Eliza Madrigal: smiles
oO0Oo Resident: an acronym to roam the tongue around
Eliza Madrigal: yes... every word really is 'enough'
Eliza Madrigal: but here is the way pema begins with it... perhaps a nice frame to start

    Eliza Madrigal:

Pema Pera: the funny thing about that sentence is that you can best read it backwards
    Pema Pera: there is Being
    Pema Pera: which presents
Pema Pera: what does it present?
Pema Pera: appearance, all that appears

    Eliza Madrigal: Or, even better:
    Eliza Madrigal:

Pema Pera: so start with appearance
Pema Pera: see everything just as it appears
Pema Pera: without hope or fear or regrets or worries or hidden agendas -- nakedly

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: :) waves to observerm
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi observerm

oO0Oo Resident: Well, during the pause I let go into... presence
    Eliza Madrigal listens
oO0Oo Resident: which felt rich and detailed and sequential.. if that makes sense
Eliza Madrigal: pondering that... please say more if you feel to?
oO0Oo Resident: so many proximal details.. yet having let go of discriminating their worth in a sense, they all stood.. as phenomena, shorter or longer lived... some bunched close together, even overlapping
oO0Oo Resident: then noticing the noticing in a similar fashion
oO0Oo Resident: and letting go of that
    oO0Oo Resident: reviewing.. letting go..
    oO0Oo Resident: noticing.. letting go
    oO0Oo Resident: letting be

    oO0Oo Resident: you?
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Bleu! I believe congrats are in order :)
Bleu Oleander: hi Eliza, Sam :)
    Bleu Oleander: ty Sam :)
Eliza Madrigal: Samúð, beautiful, thanks for sharing that
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :))
Eliza Madrigal: so love the title of your winning video "Art of Mind" :)
    Bleu Oleander: ty!
Eliza Madrigal: For the pause, Sam and I considered a portion of the email I sent out today, re APAPB...
Bleu Oleander: was a nice surprise
    Bleu Oleander: lovely email
oO0Oo Resident: I had a good feeling on the morning Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: :)
Eliza Madrigal: thank you, will IM you Sam's report..
    Bleu Oleander: great thx

Eliza Madrigal: Hi Multiverse... you've come on an 'active exploration' night :))
    Multiverse1 Resident: huh?
    Multiverse1 Resident: I always explore
Eliza Madrigal: I will give you a notecard :)) yes... I know...
Eliza Madrigal: this is just a way of exploring together
    Multiverse1 Resident: ok

Eliza Madrigal: Going into the next pause, let us take the part we started with,
Eliza Madrigal: then add the next section...
Eliza Madrigal: (as a frame for the time then we share notes of our personal experience)
    Eliza Madrigal:

Pema Pera: the best way is to read it backwards a few times first as a warm-up exercise
Pema Pera: so start with appearance
Pema Pera: see everything just as it appears
Pema Pera: without hope or fear or regrets or worries or hidden agendas -- nakedly

Pema Pera: then strip even further down:
Pema Pera: of the appearance you ONLY take the fact that it appears, that it is present
Pema Pera: whether it is a thing that is material, or a thought or feeling, anything that appears
Pema Pera: focus on the presence of the appearance

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: Thank you!
Eliza Madrigal: Would someone like to share a report (whatever seems comfortable) ?
Multiverse1 Resident: I actually was looking for more info on Pema and the notecards are an appearance of a different obsrver than myself
    Multiverse1 Resident: thanx
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Bleu Oleander: hard to untangle myself from appearances

    Multiverse1 Resident: hi observerm
Eliza Madrigal: for me, I found myself aware of myself...
Multiverse1 Resident: we appear as we see ourselves in the mirror
    Multiverse1 Resident: of ourselves
    Multiverse1 Resident: a prism in a way
oO0Oo Resident recalls Eos sharing: "explicitly pausing is a form of "lipstick on sunyata" (Ann Waldman's phrase)"
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps leading into the new year... but glanced up to read 'without hope regrets, etc... then, as Sam mentioned before, let go of that sort of worry in exchange for presence, or a more raw presence...
oO0Oo Resident: and the lipstick almost fades and reappears like breath fog on a mirror when encountered in the drop
Multiverse1 Resident: present and accounted for
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: so intriguing to switch from the content of things
Eliza Madrigal: or from discussion, reasoning... into a more open allowing
Multiverse1 Resident: content like a continent

Eliza Madrigal: :) Bleu anything you would like to share?
Bleu Oleander: felt the tangle of myself with appearances
Multiverse1 Resident: Joe Campbell, among others noticed the world has no borders from space
Multiverse1 Resident: the appearance of one world
Bleu Oleander: as woven in a fabric of experience
Multiverse1 Resident: no asviewed from space
    Eliza Madrigal: interesting, Bleu...
Multiverse1 Resident: with a space in between as and viewed

    oO0Oo Resident: nicely described Bleu
    oO0Oo Resident: personal
    oO0Oo Resident: experience
    oO0Oo Resident: woven
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm

Eliza Madrigal: Hi Stevie... will IM you with notes of the session so far...
Eliza Madrigal: we've been exploring APAPB
    stevenaia Michinaga: thx
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Stevenaia
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: I read your email, very nice
    Multiverse1 Resident: Hi stevie
    Bleu Oleander: hi steve

Eliza Madrigal: For the next pause, here are the first two frames we began with, with a third section added....
    Eliza Madrigal: :)TY Stevie

Pema Pera: and then appreciate that presence
Pema Pera: like the presence of a dear friend

Eliza Madrigal: (oops stevie appears to poof)
    stevenaia Michinaga: and unpoofed
    Multiverse1 Resident: a play
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: actually, will post the rest of this snippet:
oO0Oo Resident warms up for the drop

    Eliza Madrigal:

Pema Pera: if you then apply that to all appearances
Pema Pera: pretty soon all appearances WILL become dear friends to you
Pema Pera: it won't take long :-)

(4-22-2009, 1PM - Appreciate the presence of appearance)

Eliza Madrigal: nice to return perhaps:)) So nice, Bleu
stevenaia Michinaga: practice leads to more.....
Eliza Madrigal: I like these 'sneaky' sort of explorations... just jump in

    Eliza Madrigal: likely 4...
    Multiverse1 Resident: aha
Bleu Oleander: thanks for adding a gentle structure to build on
Eliza Madrigal: we used to do a lot of this sort of thing...

Eliza Madrigal: and much fun to share
oO0Oo Resident: Thanks yes.. gentle structure.. and fabric of friends... wonderful

    Eliza Madrigal: :))
Bleu Oleander: feels comfortable and easy
    Multiverse1 Resident: apppearances
    Multiverse1 Resident: 4 p's next tyme

Eliza Madrigal: well each word in appreciate the presence of appearance has its own unique flavor and expression.... like the way pema suggests to see where it leads rather than defining beforehand
Multiverse1 Resident: change, The I Ching
Eliza Madrigal: then, the extended appreciate the presence of appearance as a presentation by Being... well so over my head 'but it sure feels nice' :)
Multiverse1 Resident: not so far around your head
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: Tess you look so cute, btw

I'd sent Tess and IM in the pause...

oO0Oo Resident: When tess arrived in the break i forgot to get anxious about bring her up to speed and just saw another appearance friend.. but also threads of me tugging reminding me that I might have been anxious otherwise
oO0Oo Resident: lipstick on.. lipstick off

    Eliza Madrigal: he's observerm

    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Multiverse1 Resident: The appearance of being present
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: simple, yes
    Multiverse1 Resident: Perhaps the disappearance
Eliza Madrigal: so many ways to play with the sentence
Multiverse1 Resident: well, the fullness and the emptiness
Multiverse1 Resident: the up and the down etc.
    Multiverse1 Resident: balance

    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bertrum :)

Eliza Madrigal: We've had a nice session... re APAPB...
Eliza Madrigal: see the email i sent to the group?
oO0Oo Resident: [for log]: Night Stevenaia
Eliza Madrigal: you've been with pab a long time bertrum... wondered your thoughts
Bertrum Resident: Yes, I did read the e-mail. You do a great job of pulling things together.
    Eliza Madrigal: ty
    oO0Oo Resident: hear hear
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Cal!
Eliza Madrigal: am really happy if it was clear and also hope that others will follow my lead later on :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Cal :)
    Bertrum Resident: Later on?
Calvino Rabeni: Hello, how's it ? A long leisurely session?
oO0Oo Resident: How long have you been with PaB Bertrum??
Eliza Madrigal: yes... so I'll continue this light topic for a while, then it would be wonderful for someone to pick up on another vocabulary term/topic... share, etc
Eliza Madrigal: A nice session Cal...

    --BELL--

Bertrum Resident: Sam, it's been since 2008 with more than a year away from SL in between.
Eliza Madrigal: ah I didn't know that... a year long break...
    oO0Oo Resident: Oh.. ty..
Bertrum Resident: Yes. My first account was "Bertrum Quan." Then whn I retruned in March 2011 just "Bertrum."
    Bertrum Resident: when returned
Eliza Madrigal: you instigated a topic of 'time and dreams' once...
    Bertrum Resident: Yes, that's right.
Eliza Madrigal: was really interesting, with maxine
Bertrum Resident: Maxine also was doing quite a bit on the subject.
Eliza Madrigal nods yes remember well... hm.. maybe before we had a 'theme session' page
Eliza Madrigal: And how are you Cal :))

    Moon....

Calvino Rabeni: Good, It's a quiet evening, I can see the moon through the window
Calvino Rabeni: I had some fun with cooking - went to the oriental part of town and got inexpensive fixings for a seafood stirfry
Eliza Madrigal: stir fry with the moon
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Bertrum Resident: George Melies comes to mind...
Calvino Rabeni: I think it appealed to the child in me somehow .. there were lots of colors and also some legs and things :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: food can be so playful...
    Eliza Madrigal: moon berries
Eliza Madrigal: i see the moon and the moon sees me... that song has an image of luci with it for me
oO0Oo Resident: Barbie and Ken stir fry.. a limb is lost here and there.. GI Joe flies in on a medi-vac.. coming in from angle of moon
    Bertrum Resident: shoot the moon!
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
oO0Oo Resident: Midge shakes her head...
Eliza Madrigal: appreciate the presence of the moon as a presentation by/of Being
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks, nice reflections
    Eliza Madrigal: :))

    Eliza Madrigal: pause approaching
    Eliza Madrigal: 'rest in presence'

    Norah Jones lyrics...

    Bertrum Resident:
The summer days are gone too soon
    You shoot the moon
    And miss completely
And now you're left to face the gloom
The empty room that once smelled sweetly

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: ty :)
    Bertrum Resident: Night everyone.
Eliza Madrigal: Night Bertrum, be well
    oO0Oo Resident: Night bertrum
Eliza Madrigal: enjoyed the emails Bruce sent out today btw Cal...
    Eliza Madrigal: re sangha/WoK
Eliza Madrigal: nice balance you all are finding
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, he's doing a great job with those WOK emails
Eliza Madrigal: and the every other week structure seems smart
    Calvino Rabeni: nods
Calvino Rabeni: the group energy for a while had really flagged
Calvino Rabeni: but it seems to be picking up again
Eliza Madrigal: yes, glad of that :)
Calvino Rabeni: Bruce and Aph have put a lot of starter energy into it
Eliza Madrigal: Aphrodite is a fireball herself too
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Calvino Rabeni: And the side-group Original Face has had good flow also
Eliza Madrigal: one can tell there is a strong connection there by the way peole mention 'oh today...' and seems to be a real support
Eliza Madrigal: still a closed group or jumpers in?
Calvino Rabeni: The PaB ecology seems to be thickening and getting some sort of ground around / under it
Calvino Rabeni: with some diversity, some layers, like in a forest
Eliza Madrigal: wondered if you might like to have another theme session about it... hmmm, nice observation... agree...
Calvino Rabeni: Another theme session yes that seems like a good idea before too long
Eliza Madrigal: we're getting squishier beneath our feet
    Calvino Rabeni: heh
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Calvino Rabeni: I don't think we've quite figured out about the entering / leaving issues for that group
Eliza Madrigal: makes sense, guess evolves over time
    Eliza Madrigal: like retreats
Eliza Madrigal suddenly remembers there is an SL retreat space.... prob lonely....
Calvino Rabeni: Yes, it has become like an ongoing one in a way .
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Calvino Rabeni: though if we had requests to join it would be welcome
Eliza Madrigal: good to know... should you ever change times I'll be attentive...
Eliza Madrigal: or perhaps over summer? allow part timers? lol
    Eliza Madrigal: seasonal folks... tourists...
Calvino Rabeni: yes, it's hard to work with everyone's schedules .. that might be a good idea
Eliza Madrigal: maybe, suppose it would be up to how the group present felt
    Eliza Madrigal: discussion, etc
Calvino Rabeni: there was one inquiry from someone we didn't know, and I think they may have been scared off by realizing they'd be jumping into a small group who knew each other ... if it were a larger group it would be okay to hang out in the background

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: oooh, interesting...
Eliza Madrigal: guess 'everyone' is on the spot in a small group
Calvino Rabeni: yes the idea of having an open period or season makes sense, like nature has its open and closed seasons
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Calvino Rabeni: yes that's true, it's been a characteristic of its style, and it seems people have grown comfortable with it
Eliza Madrigal: really nice, you deserve a lot of credit.. you and darren... lots of planning and vision, etc
    oO0Oo Resident: also Bruce
Eliza Madrigal: yes, now bruce for sure
    Calvino Rabeni: Yes true
Eliza Madrigal: oh, midnight here... pumpkin approaching...
Calvino Rabeni: one thing I've really liked, is the sense that people have different qualities or gifts and are present with bringing just those things into the mix
Calvino Rabeni: Ah, yes it is tomorrow there already
Eliza Madrigal: would love to hear more of these thoughts... so much to learn about group dynamics
    Calvino Rabeni: :) yes
Eliza Madrigal: and container care/openness etc :)
    Calvino Rabeni nods
    Calvino Rabeni: Good evening !
    Calvino Rabeni: or rather morn
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks so much :))
    Eliza Madrigal: Good morning, hah
Calvino Rabeni: And to you too oO0Oo
Eliza Madrigal: bfn, Night too...0 :)
    Calvino Rabeni: Take care, bye
oO0Oo Resident: I'll say thanks and until next time.. appreciate the APAPB Eliza, and the continuous mystery of unfolding as it rolls out..
