[12:56] Korel Laloix: Heya
[12:57] SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Korel
[12:57] Korel Laloix: The blue cussions are much better.
[12:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: I dont mean to sound vain, but I dont like this dress on the orange cushion
[12:58] Korel Laloix: Orange and black is never good either.
[12:58] Korel Laloix: Except in late October.
[12:58] Korel Laloix smiles
[12:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: the prims are odd unless the avatar is erfectly straight :)
[12:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes
[12:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: +p
[12:58] SophiaSharon Larnia: how are you?
[12:59] Korel Laloix: At work and boooooored out of my skull.
[12:59] Korel Laloix: Nothing happening today.
[12:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: ha
[12:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: i wish i had a job I could be bored sometimes
[12:59] Korel Laloix: Had lunch delivered, that was it.
[12:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
[12:59] Korel Laloix: It is usually frantic or borring.
[12:59] SophiaSharon Larnia: a nice mix imho
[13:00] Korel Laloix: But... I am getting paid to do SL, so I have really no reason to complain.
[13:00] SophiaSharon Larnia: really? I didnt know that
[13:00] Korel Laloix: How are your holidays going?
[13:00] SophiaSharon Larnia: do you blog?
[13:00] Korel Laloix: Well, not getting paid to do SL... but I am getting paid.... and I am bored, so doing SL to keep me company.
[13:01] Korel Laloix: So... indirectly getting paid to do SL>
[13:01] Korel Laloix: I don't blog or the like at all.
[13:01] SophiaSharon Larnia: good :) I'm a bit hugover, not on alcohol, but post-activity and a common post-holiday blah, i think
[13:01] SophiaSharon Larnia: oh i see :)) nice to see you here
[13:01] Korel Laloix: I eved killed my Myspace page a while back as I had some problems coming from it.
[13:01] SophiaSharon Larnia: hungover** sorry for the typos
[13:02] SophiaSharon Larnia: heh I hear you I dont even know how to log onto it to kill it
[13:02] SophiaSharon Larnia: its been so long
[13:02] Korel Laloix: You just get worn down .... at a time that is supposed to be about peace... strange how we stretch things.
[13:02] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes....stretch to do one more thing
[13:03] Korel Laloix: I actually do CHristmas on a modified Orthodox schedue... so in January.
[13:03] Korel Laloix: Keeps this time of year a bit more sane for me.
[13:03] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Im interested in hearing more about that, I dont know much about it
[13:04] Korel Laloix: Under the orthodox callender, Christmas is usually the 6th or 7th of January.
[13:04] Korel Laloix: Just a different tradition.
[13:04] SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
[13:05] SophiaSharon Larnia: do you exchange presents?
[13:05] SophiaSharon Larnia: they wouldnt come from santa? :)
[13:05] Korel Laloix: it is all the same, just a different date.
[13:06] Korel Laloix: My first Christian GF was Russian, so I sort of picked up that tradition from her family.
[13:06] SophiaSharon Larnia: Im sure its lovely
[13:07] Korel Laloix: Very rich in traditions for sure.
[13:07] Korel Laloix: But a lot of stuff that is traditional, not Biblical.
[13:07] Korel Laloix: Which some have issues with, I dont' though.
[13:07] SophiaSharon Larnia: i find the Dec 25th christmas an interesting mix of pagan and christian, like all customary holidays
[13:07] SophiaSharon Larnia: right
[13:08] SophiaSharon Larnia: and I will be fixing my typos when I edit the log
[13:08] SophiaSharon Larnia: :P
[13:08] Korel Laloix: It is just a date.
[13:08] Korel Laloix: The real date was probably a different year and month. But really irrelivent.
[13:08] Korel Laloix: It is the idea of the day that counts.
[13:08] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes. I m sure its just me, but people didnt seem as kind as they usually are this christmas, in public
[13:08] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, i agree
[13:09] SophiaSharon Larnia: do you have plans for new years?
[13:09] Korel Laloix: It does bring out the best and worst in people I think.
[13:09] Korel Laloix: I have a lot of offers for parties.
[13:09] Korel Laloix: But most are people trying to get in my shorts... lol
[13:09] SophiaSharon Larnia: ha
[13:10] Korel Laloix: So still sort of figuring out what I am going to do.
[13:10] Korel Laloix: My ex asked me to a nice party.. thinking about it.
[13:11] SophiaSharon Larnia: i have strong hermit tendencies,, all I really want to do is stay home
[13:11] SophiaSharon Larnia: but I always say that, and then enjoy myself when i go out
[13:12] Korel Laloix: I like to get out a bit.
[13:12] Korel Laloix: But sometimes I have too many social obligations and I get sort of irritated.
[13:12] Korel Laloix: Then it is hard to enjoy people.
[13:12] SophiaSharon Larnia: nods
[13:13] Korel Laloix: Between work and classes and church and my running club and normal social times... I can get tired of people sometimes.
[13:14] SophiaSharon Larnia: wow, thats a lot of activity Korel
[13:14] Korel Laloix: I know... I need to pull back, but..... not my style... frowns
[13:14] SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm
[13:14] SophiaSharon Larnia: ive been working too much
[13:16] SophiaSharon Larnia: its hard to keep an open heart and mind when Im tired. My time to be alone is to rejuvenate that, if nothing else.
[13:18] Korel Laloix: I find that the strangest things actually relax me.
[13:18] Korel Laloix: Ironing...
[13:18] Korel Laloix: what is up with that?
[13:19] Korel Laloix: And shelling pecans.
[13:19] SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
[13:19] SophiaSharon Larnia: nice
[13:19] SophiaSharon Larnia: Ill tell you why it is for me, although it isnt a 'mindful' thing to say
[13:20] Korel Laloix: Does not matter if it is.
[13:20] SophiaSharon Larnia: i can let my body go on autopilot and relax my thinking
[13:20] Korel Laloix: I have a hard time relaxing my thinking.
[13:21] SophiaSharon Larnia: focusing on one thing to the exclusion of anything else
[13:21] Korel Laloix: One part of my sleeping difficulties.
[13:21] SophiaSharon Larnia: i know what you mean
[13:23] Korel Laloix: If we could all figure out how to turn our brains off, I think we would be better off for sure.
[13:24] Korel Laloix: SO much to think about in this time.
[13:25] Korel Laloix: So much to love so much to fear.
[13:25] SophiaSharon Larnia: (Id love to let my emotional centers sleep for a while)
[13:26] SophiaSharon Larnia: sounds scary though
[13:26] Korel Laloix: Maybe a reset then?
[13:26] Korel Laloix: I tend to have emotional resets from time to time.
[13:26] Korel Laloix: But it makes me feel cold.
[13:26] Korel Laloix: I sort of have to recreate emotions about people.
[13:26] SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm. give the old amygdala take a rest lol
[13:26] Korel Laloix: It is easy to do, but it concerns me that I have to do it.
[13:27] SophiaSharon Larnia: resets?
[13:28] Korel Laloix: I just get to an emotionaly low... then I sort of loose some feelings for things and people.
[13:29] Korel Laloix: I still understand their importance to me, but emotinally it all goes flat.
[13:29] Korel Laloix: So I have to think about the relationships and rebuild the emotions.
[13:29] SophiaSharon Larnia: some space is good
[13:29] Korel Laloix: My brain is a bit messed up that way.
[13:29] SophiaSharon Larnia: some space is healthy and vital, i think
[13:33] SophiaSharon Larnia: If I havent seen someone for a while, its sort of like resteting :)
[13:33] Korel Laloix: It can be.
[13:33] Korel Laloix: But it can be the start of a seperation as well.
[13:33] SophiaSharon Larnia: remember the good stuff
[13:33] SophiaSharon Larnia: true
[13:33] Korel Laloix: I am bad about keeping in touch with distant friends.
[13:34] SophiaSharon Larnia: Me too.
[13:35] Korel Laloix: I think sometimes we don't appreciate somethings until they are gone, and that includes friends.
[13:37] SophiaSharon Larnia: Ive lost touch with people who i was close to at a certain time of my life, and continuing the friendship is painful, because it reminds me always of that time
[13:37] Korel Laloix: It can be tricky.
[13:37] Korel Laloix: Especially if there was romance involved.
[13:37] SophiaSharon Larnia: i do regret running away from the pain, i should've dealt with it, and yes indeed
[13:38] Korel Laloix: Sometimes we have a lot of courage for things that external.
[13:39] Korel Laloix: But when it comes to courage with emotions, we are all cowards to an extent.
[13:40] SophiaSharon Larnia: :) self-forgiveness is just as hard as forgiving someone else sometimes
[13:40] SophiaSharon Larnia: or worse
[13:41] Korel Laloix: Far worse.
[13:41] Korel Laloix: Well maybe not.
[13:41] Korel Laloix: I have big forgiveness issues.
[13:42] SophiaSharon Larnia: depends
[13:42] Korel Laloix: Something I work on a lot.
[13:42] SophiaSharon Larnia: I feel like forgiving and judging are pretty closely linked.
[13:43] SophiaSharon Larnia: i could be wrong
[13:45] Korel Laloix: Liked maybe, but not the same thing
[13:45] SophiaSharon Larnia: no
[13:46] Korel Laloix: Hard to sort out those emotions someteims.
[13:47] SophiaSharon Larnia: I have this idea I want to let my emotional responses go, to drop them, but i dont how to start, I am really wired that way
[13:47] SophiaSharon Larnia: more than others i think
[13:48] SophiaSharon Larnia: get swamped in by them really fast
[13:48] Korel Laloix: Easy to get overweldmed.
[13:48] SophiaSharon Larnia: all this time with pab and it finally occurs me to try that ha
[13:48] Korel Laloix: But not impossible to manage.
[13:50] Korel Laloix: osiyo
[13:50] Archmage Atlantis: osiyo
[13:50] SophiaSharon Larnia: hi Arch :)
[13:50] Archmage Atlantis: Hi SSL
[13:51] SophiaSharon Larnia: long time no see
[13:51] Archmage Atlantis: Indeed
[13:51] SophiaSharon Larnia: how is your holidays?
[13:52] Archmage Atlantis: Mathematically, 70% great, 10% ok, 20% difficult
[13:52] Archmage Atlantis: So, pretty good
[13:52] Archmage Atlantis: :)
[13:52] Archmage Atlantis: Et tu?
[13:52] SophiaSharon Larnia: hah ok thats an interesting way to think of it, i dont know how to break up mine in %%
[13:53] SophiaSharon Larnia: good :) strecthed in different directions, feeling a bit hungover
[13:53] Archmage Atlantis: I was going to be a math prof in an earlier part of this life
[13:53] SophiaSharon Larnia: ah :D
[13:53] Archmage Atlantis: didn't happen
[13:54] Archmage Atlantis: Ppl often think hungover is bad.....my opinion is that hungover means testing one's limits has occured
[13:54] SophiaSharon Larnia: we were talking about quite few things Arch its hard for me to recap
[13:54] SophiaSharon Larnia: yes, thats for sure
[13:54] Archmage Atlantis: I'll read the log
[13:54] Archmage Atlantis: np]
[13:54] SophiaSharon Larnia: although in some cases for me just a limit of how long I can stay awake :)
[13:55] SophiaSharon Larnia: work night shift again now
[13:55] Korel Laloix: Back in a few mins..
[13:55] SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Korel :)
[13:55] SophiaSharon Larnia: nice to see you
[13:55] Archmage Atlantis: Soon Korel

[13:56] SophiaSharon Larnia: see you soon I hope :)
[13:56] SophiaSharon Larnia: be fr now
[13:56] Archmage Atlantis: I dropped into Paab late
[13:56] SophiaSharon Larnia: bye for now*
[13:56] SophiaSharon Larnia: :) a little
[13:56] Archmage Atlantis: bye for now
[14:06] Korel Laloix: Heya
[14:06] Archmage Atlantis: Hi again Korel
[14:06] Korel Laloix: What you been up to?
[14:07] Archmage Atlantis: Well, it will sound weird, I suppose, but I've been watching the evolution of life on this planet
[14:08] Archmage Atlantis: Once upon a time, I thought I was a shaman
[14:08] Archmage Atlantis: Now I understand, I am just an observer
[14:08] Korel Laloix: My aunts are medicine women, and a big part of that is observation.
[14:09] Korel Laloix: That and recreational pharmisuiticals... smiles
[14:10] Archmage Atlantis: Seeking those elements that exist beyond our perception requires "pharmasueticals"
[14:10] Korel Laloix: I am not so sure.
[14:10] Korel Laloix: Meditation type mental activites I think can get you there as well.
[14:10] Korel Laloix: BUt that is just my thought.
[14:11] Archmage Atlantis: There is a responsibility that has to be acknowledged in their use
[14:11] Korel Laloix: That is true.
[14:11] Korel Laloix: But I think most don't.
[14:11] Archmage Atlantis: Yes, I agree......meditation can achieve the same place
[14:11] Korel Laloix: I include myself in that accusation.
[14:12] Archmage Atlantis: For me, there is nothing to be accused of
[14:12] Archmage Atlantis: Live is difficutl
[14:12] Archmage Atlantis: It is meant to be that way
[14:13] Korel Laloix: I agree.
[14:13] Korel Laloix: But sometimes it is pleasurable to figure some things out.
[14:14] Archmage Atlantis: Yes...so tell me sister, what things have been figured out lately
[14:17] Korel Laloix: aNot fiure really anyting out, but I have made some progress on understanding some things.
[14:17] Korel Laloix: Peope are hard to figure out sometimes, including myself.
[14:17] Archmage Atlantis: *grin* ......no kidding....we are a mess
[14:18] Archmage Atlantis: Out of the ashes the phoenix rises
[14:18] Archmage Atlantis: Out of the primordial swamp, the vertebrates walk onto land
[14:20] Korel Laloix: But looking inside for too long can be a bad move as well.
[14:20] Archmage Atlantis: I am invited to a philosophy session ....it has been a while since I have been
[14:20] Archmage Atlantis: Yes
[14:20] Korel Laloix: You end up overanalysing things and get slowed down.
[14:20] Archmage Atlantis: Sometimes one needs to just do
[14:20] Archmage Atlantis: The body is part of this reality
[14:21] Archmage Atlantis: thinking has it's place
[14:21] Archmage Atlantis: but movement does also
[14:21] Archmage Atlantis: Later
[14:21] Korel Laloix: I know what you mean.
[14:21] Archmage Atlantis: Thank you for the conversation
[14:21] Korel Laloix: Thank you for the chat.
[14:21] Korel Laloix: Take care.
