Paradise Tennant: well no was speaking to listening to him in sl tonight but have hearrd him live a few times in Montreal :) there is usually a jam weekend in July blue and I atend . on some of the tapes you can hear Blue bark in the background :)

druth Vlodovic: un-certainty implies that certainty is desireable, hence the anxiety associated with it
Paradise Tennant: uncertainty is premised with an illusion that there can be certainty

stevenaia Michinaga: you can never know everything, what's left is not knowing, so it should bring comfort

Tess Aristocrat: Not knowing leaves a vast amount of space to learn, explore, and have adventures.
oO0Oo Resident: maybe partial knowing carries more responsibility than omniscience/

Tess Aristocrat: something I always try to keep in the forefront of my thoughts is to be in the moment and not be complacent
Tess Aristocrat: Be aware of my surroundings..the colors of the trees, etc

Tess Aristocrat: yes ;)
Tess Aristocrat: If death is considered a scary bit, then yes, it is known, it is inevitable.

Tess Aristocrat: My thoughts on death are this..
Tess Aristocrat: People having been doing it for thousands of years..

Tess Aristocrat: My thoughts are that it may be just like birth in some respects..leaving a place we've become accustomed to..
Tess Aristocrat: being forced to..
Tess Aristocrat: eventually going with the flow and not fighting it anymore.
Tess Aristocrat: and in my belief, coming into a new plane of existence.
Paradise Tennant: agree do not think death is a bad thing just hard on the folks left behind
Tess Aristocrat: nods..
Tess Aristocrat: the ones that are left 'unknowing'

Tess Aristocrat: or even if they believe, still they are attached.
oO0Oo Resident: interesting that some people have the request, that when they pass away, that the people close to them might be asked to celebrate, to revel in a sense.. to laugh and rejoice.

oO0Oo Resident: along with some spiritual notions of having a state of equanimity toward a dying person, that their consciousness be least disturbed... among other views
Tess Aristocrat: It can be a healthy part of the grief process
oO0Oo Resident: together in the unknowing
Tess Aristocrat: I've never been to a funeral or afterward where the people were not smiling and talking at some point.

Paradise Tennant: we played .. his favourite songs and told his favourite jokes

stevenaia Michinaga: was to a funeral of friend last week, with much sadness there was joy in what he left all of us
Tess Aristocrat: People, I think, need that balance of some laughter with all the sadness
stevenaia Michinaga: the best live on in all of us
Tess Aristocrat: yes
Paradise Tennant: smiles yes .. knowing or unknowing we all carry part of the very best that is :)
Tess Aristocrat: Of course we went home and later still grieved and missed him..you know..
Paradise Tennant: yes the missing part is hard
Paradise Tennant: but sometimes they die with such deliberate intent and grace .they make it easier for you
Tess Aristocrat: But there is that element..of wanting to tell the story of the happy times
Paradise Tennant: you know they were ready able and willing to face the next challenge
