[01:46] Qt Core: my mother just spent a month at the hospital and now is at rehab centre for a months, we have to understand if we'll be able to manage her at home after that
[01:47] Bertram Jacobus: very similar to me qt ! my mother was in hospital and rehab as well and i (alone) have to do now very much for her ! ...

[01:48] Wol Euler nods.
[01:48] Bertram Jacobus: but she will go to a house, where people help her professionaly. but may be that will last some month ... so very hard times for me ...
[01:48] Bertram Jacobus: she will quit her own flat i mean

[01:48] Wol Euler: parent troubles ... one of the signs of getting older
[01:48] Bertram Jacobus: she can´t do her household anymore ...
[01:49] Bertram Jacobus: righty right wol
[01:49] Qt Core: aren't we eternal and immutable, then, Wol ? ;-)

[01:50] Wol Euler: *we* are, of course, but tehy change

[01:51] Wol Euler: I just helped my mother move my father into a nursing home
[01:51] Wol Euler: because she can't cope with him any more
[01:51] Wol Euler: she's turning 81 next week, I think it's fair
[01:51] Bertram Jacobus: my mom is 87 ...
[01:52] Qt Core: 84
[01:52] Wol Euler: wow
[01:52] Wol Euler: funny, qt, I thought you were younger than me

[01:55] Bertram Jacobus: daughter ... ;-)
[01:55] Wol Euler: as long as we are sharing secrets, I'm (removed)
[01:55] Bertram Jacobus: my age never is a secret - okay - right - when i play, sometimes ... (removed) (!)

[01:56] Wol Euler: the average is, what ... (removed) ? that's a good age

[01:56] Qt Core: (my mother had almost gave up the idea of marriage when she met my father... who probably never ever thought about it)
[01:56] Wol Euler nods.
[01:57] Wol Euler: my mother married at 25, which was at least six years too late for the place and time
[01:57] Wol Euler: she was trying to reconcile herself to never marrying when she met my father

[02:00] Wol Euler: I hope it will work out well for us all and for our parents

[02:01] Qt Core: a couple times the idea of children entered my mind, with marriage never being an issue, as in ok, it would be needed (hey i still live too near Vatican City) but nothing more... but in the end decided my life is enough complicated as it is
[02:02] Bertram Jacobus: oh sry - bye friends see you later ! forgot something - hurry now ...
[02:02] Qt Core: then there would be the issue about who to marry and make babies with

[02:03] Wol Euler: yes, qt, that last detail remains tricky :)
[02:03] Qt Core: that "decided" is too a strong word, concluded or something like that is better

[02:05] Qt Core: especially for the after making part, the one that goes from babies to persons
[02:05] Wol Euler: mmhmm
[02:06] Wol Euler: that is the tricky bit, yes
[02:06] Wol Euler: and the hard work
[02:08] Qt Core: one of the times i thought most about it i got to the point where i thought that it would be nice to have a child to teach/raise him with what i think are the right ways to to that, like to prove the world how good i am... not a good reason i concluded

[02:10] Wol Euler: on the other hand, perhaps you really are good and the world should know ... hmmmmm
[02:11] Qt Core: :-)

[02:11] Wol Euler: I see so many people with children who are not good parents (in my opinion)
[02:11] Wol Euler: though less often here in Germany than I did in England, the English really seemed not to like kids very much
[02:14] Qt Core: [it never happened but] i have this fear about having little kids walking near me and accidentally kicking them
[02:16] Wol Euler: they are easy to hurt, because they don't really notice anything other than themselves
[02:16] Wol Euler: they don't know that they are walking in front of you
[02:17] Wol Euler: which is a way of saying that I too am very cautious around them ;)
[02:17] Qt Core: and often ther is no way f correctly predict their route ;-)
[02:19] Wol Euler: mmhmm :)

[02:21] Wol Euler: I think I need a nap :/ I'm gong back to bed for an hour
