Bleu Oleander: was starting to feel like a standard
Eliza Madrigal: yes... I like it, but I like the changes, too
    Bleu Oleander: me too
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Bleu Oleander: a bit claustrophobic for me
Eliza Madrigal: yes...getting that way after a few times
Eliza Madrigal: think with the new year the photo billboards will go also...
Bleu Oleander: yes a clearing out
Eliza Madrigal: but not sure about the schedule...maybe somethin to talk about at guardians session?
DR42 Resident: I derender the entire building and kill mosty of the light sources. Much more calming.
Eliza Madrigal: we're losing faces hm
Bleu Oleander: yes maybe that too
Catrinamonblue Resident: I haven't been able to be here as much as I would like, RL has gotten so very busy for me in some very good ways
Bleu Oleander: might be nice to get back to original
Eliza Madrigal: yes... clean slate maybe
Eliza Madrigal: glad to hear, Cat... first live has its way with us at times
    Eliza Madrigal: life*
Catrinamonblue Resident: :) yes it does :) I have had work dropping into my lap without having to look for it, very good but very busy
    Agatha Macbeth: G'day kiddywinks
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aggers! Almost thought I saw Boxy arrive ^^
    Bleu Oleander: Aggers :))
    Agatha Macbeth: Almost!
    Eliza Madrigal: lookin cute
Agatha Macbeth: Wish he would :((
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Aggers :)
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
Eliza Madrigal: I'm sure he's on to new and interesting things - can always drop him a line
Agatha Macbeth: I'm just getting my plot ready for festivities
    Agatha Macbeth: yeh
    Eliza Madrigal: oh, nice :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Bleu Oleander: festivities?
Eliza Madrigal: wonder if Storm will bring snow this year
    Agatha Macbeth: Hope so
Agatha Macbeth: A snowy backdrop would be kinda nice
Bleu Oleander: the skating rink would be nice
    Eliza Madrigal: yes!
    Catrinamonblue Resident: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: That too
Bleu Oleander: have to find my skating AO :)
    Eliza Madrigal: hehe...me too
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: and sweaters
    Agatha Macbeth: Yayy
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe we should have had an Art of Winter exhibition or something
DR42 Resident: I have steampunk ice skates with an AO built in...
Bleu Oleander: we still could :)
    Agatha Macbeth: yeh
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we'd have to dig out our chainsaws for ice sculptures again
    Agatha Macbeth: Snowart
Bleu Oleander: maybe we could turn our dream caves into snow globes :)
Eliza Madrigal: (confesses she used the bell time to email storm and beg for winter)
    Eliza Madrigal: ooooooo
Eliza Madrigal: I love that idea
    Agatha Macbeth: That would work
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles :)
    Eliza Madrigal: omgoodness snow eggs!!
    Bleu Oleander: might be fun
    Catrinamonblue Resident: lol
Eliza Madrigal: mine's half way there ^^
    Agatha Macbeth: 'PaB de l'hiver'
    Bleu Oleander: yes!
    Bleu Oleander: snow-jobs hehe
    Eliza Madrigal: hahhaha
Agatha Macbeth: Snow place like home
    Bleu Oleander: lol
Eliza Madrigal: I'd make another, too
Eliza Madrigal: I seem to be waking in the middle of the night, and I love to play with projects then... not quite awake enough to do anything on the "list"... so it feels like free time
    Eliza Madrigal: in between time
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh my
    Agatha Macbeth: Nocturnal ambulation?
    Eliza Madrigal: :) grins
Eliza Madrigal: which reminds me...how is the dream study with your group going, Bleu?
Bleu Oleander: well, on hold for the moment due to travel schedule, work etc.
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
    Eliza Madrigal nods... it happens
    Agatha Macbeth: Busy Bleuji
    Bleu Oleander: sighs :)
Eliza Madrigal: not easy to coordinate many people
    Bleu Oleander: exactly
Agatha Macbeth: It is a hectic time of year agreed
Bleu Oleander: read a great book recently ...
Bleu Oleander: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm, dunno her
Eliza Madrigal: Ohhh heard about that, maybe interview
Bleu Oleander: quite a fuss over it ... on lots of top 10 lists
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Why a fuss?
    Eliza Madrigal: Why great?
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bleu Oleander: centered around a 17th C Dutch painting of same name

    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Bleu Oleander: lots of interesting ideas
    Agatha Macbeth: By who?
    Bleu Oleander: Donna Tartt
Agatha Macbeth: Who did the painting I mean...
Bleu Oleander: ideas about art, beauty, knowing reality
Eliza Madrigal: interest is peaked, although I was sort of thinking of reading Atwood next
    Bleu Oleander: oh Fabritius
    Agatha Macbeth: Margaret?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah ty Bleuji
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Agatha Macbeth: I'll take a look
Eliza Madrigal: "art, beauty, knowing reality" our favorite things ^^
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
    Agatha Macbeth: Truly
Agatha Macbeth: Tho maybe art and beauty are a little easier :p
Eliza Madrigal: :) isn't reality what we're made of?
Agatha Macbeth: Sugar and spice me ♥
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps why hard to know
Eliza Madrigal: :) or rather than 'hard' maybe mysterious better
Bleu Oleander: we have limited perception
Bleu Oleander: just take light for instance
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe expanding perception is the trick
Bleu Oleander: we see such a tiny part of the spectrum
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Bleu Oleander: what if the "doors of perception" were opened wide .... ?
Eliza Madrigal: what the light seems to be shining on at any given moment, is what we 'think' we know
Agatha Macbeth: Would be a bit mind-blowing
    Catrinamonblue Resident: overwhelming
    Agatha Macbeth: Snap
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: would come close to infinity
Agatha Macbeth: Not sure if my senses could handle that all at once :p
    Eliza Madrigal: :)))
Bleu Oleander: If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is infinite .... William Blake
    Agatha Macbeth: Good old Billy
Eliza Madrigal: doors or perception are perhaps what is meant by "mind mirrors" in buddhism... or maybe mirror neurons, in current science?
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: a widening of vision of all sorts
Agatha Macbeth: I'll need to look that up Liz
Bleu Oleander: one of the themes of the book was that it's not about outward appearances but inward significance
Eliza Madrigal: "inward significance" another wonderful phrase...hmms
Bleu Oleander: beauty, meaning call out to us with a "psst"
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Catrinamonblue Resident: likes that :)
    Bleu Oleander: over time also
Eliza Madrigal: that's how I've experienced our apapb explorations over the years... being alive to the "psst"
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Bleu Oleander: between reality and the point where the mind strikes reality .... a rainbow edge where beauty, love exists
    Eliza Madrigal swoons
    Agatha Macbeth: Rainbow valley
Bleu Oleander: great book ... really
    Catrinamonblue Resident: wow Bleu :)
Eliza Madrigal: Okay... i'm convinced, Atwood will wait ^^
    Bleu Oleander: big book
    Bleu Oleander: 800 pages
Bleu Oleander: but just zoomed by for me
Agatha Macbeth: Small by LOTR standards :p
    Eliza Madrigal: immersive
Bleu Oleander: "the space where I exist, this middle distance: where despair struck pure otherness and created something sublime."
Eliza Madrigal: I think that's how we are 'changed' or how dimensions of our being are opened... when we are so totally taken in that we forget (suspend) everything else for a while
    Agatha Macbeth: Aha
Bleu Oleander: it also takes place in NYC which I definitely relate to :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Erk
    Agatha Macbeth: The naked city
Bleu Oleander: actually by coincidence the painting is in NYC
Eliza Madrigal: so you will see it next year?
Bleu Oleander: might get to see it over the holidays
    Eliza Madrigal: Ohh, nice
Bleu Oleander: Dutch masters show at the Frick
Bleu Oleander: long lines ... due to popularity of the book ... don't think they anticipated that :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) wonderful timing
Bleu Oleander: Girl with the Pearl Earing is in the show too
Eliza Madrigal: ah, well that is a huge draw on its own
    Bleu Oleander: indeed
Bleu Oleander: however the tiny bird is giving it a run for its money :)
Eliza Madrigal: a new museum opened here this week... but people are saying the building is more beautiful than the collection - so will wait til crowds die down a bit
    Bleu Oleander: that happens :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: My compliments to the architect :p
    Eliza Madrigal: indeed
Agatha Macbeth: Wollie would doubtless approve
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I realized something kind of interesting recently, which feels to relate to the discussion.. regarding my own contemplation - maybe more common though ...
    Catrinamonblue Resident: listens
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm?
    michelle2 Zepp: 's current display-name is "M-2785".
Eliza Madrigal: so I didn't begin meditation to 'fix' anything really.. just came up and I began ... then PaB came up and I was sort of primed to look into 'reality' in a more focused way...
    Eliza Madrigal: anyway...
    michelle2 Zepp: 's current display-name is "M-2785".
Eliza Madrigal: along the way one is sort of forward in looking at 'this' or 'that'... the light is focused on certain things, inevitably... and one does (or I did) look for changes or, hm.. well hoped to be more calm, etc...
Eliza Madrigal: but that didn't really happen yet... hah...
Agatha Macbeth: Calm is good :p
    Agatha Macbeth: (if elusive)
Eliza Madrigal: what did happen is whle I was looking "this way"... the BACK of my head (figurative language) opened up
Eliza Madrigal: so the thing I was trying to change ... didn't... but the bottom sort of dropped out and expanded the view of what was in the dark..
Agatha Macbeth: The back of your brain is where you see from <grin>
Eliza Madrigal: closests I can come to explaining :)
Eliza Madrigal: haha... well as I said it is figurative ^^
    --BELL--
Agatha Macbeth: That's what I mean Liz, maybe you 'saw' more clearly
Catrinamonblue Resident: understands a bit of that :) kinda life is what happens while plans are made? I think I have had a simialr experince, in that I came here looking for something and something else entirely happened and at his time it seems so much better than what I was looking for in the first place ;)
    Agatha Macbeth: Serendipity
Eliza Madrigal: interesting Aggers... yes.more dimensionally
Bleu Oleander: you say, you weren't trying to "fix anything" but the "thing you were trying to change didn't"
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Cat
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: well I mean in the very beginning I wasn't.. but then I began to... basically trying to figure out what the 'tools' were for
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Eliza Madrigal: so the tools were there before I began to try to fix things...haha
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Eliza Madrigal: like "Hm ..a present.. what can I do with this?"
Bleu Oleander: "fix" presumes broken in some way?
Agatha Macbeth: Isn't it always broken? :p
Bleu Oleander: don't ever think of myself as broken ... confused yes haha
Catrinamonblue Resident: we are the mosaic of the shattered pieces of our lives :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... I did begin to feel more broken at times... that was a big surprise... i even asked Stim about it... ie "isn't meditation supposed to make things easier?"
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, judging others by myself...
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm
Catrinamonblue Resident: never thought of meditation as an easier road just a way to look
Eliza Madrigal: 'expanded sight' can be overwhelming and one can feel broken in the face of it
Eliza Madrigal: or I did anyway...
Agatha Macbeth: You can be reassembled tho
Eliza Madrigal: not to try to say I'm farther along, just something noticed
Eliza Madrigal: nothing to accomplish, or fix :)
Bleu Oleander: farther along in what way?
Eliza Madrigal: well when I try to articulate it sounds like going from a to be, and that isn't what I mean
    Eliza Madrigal: *b (maybe a typo :P)
Agatha Macbeth: To be or not to be
Bleu Oleander: life doesn't seem linear to me
    Eliza Madrigal: exactly
    Agatha Macbeth: It isn't :p
    Bleu Oleander: :P
Eliza Madrigal: when we describe it, it can... not sure how to get around that :))
Eliza Madrigal: English is such a linear language I think
Agatha Macbeth: The eye of the beholder
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nods
Bleu Oleander: how we experience time I think contributes to the linearity
Agatha Macbeth: English is a great language for doing business but seems bugger all good for much else
    Bleu Oleander: causality
    Eliza Madrigal: yes! (both)
Bleu Oleander: oops have to go ... sorry ... interesting conversation ... to be continued?
Eliza Madrigal: maybe expanded awareness lets us step out of thinking in linear terms a bit?
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww, bye Bleuji
Eliza Madrigal: Okay Bleu, thanks for hosting another interesting session :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Stay clourful
Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Bleu :) have a great day
Bleu Oleander: sorry to zip out so quick
    Agatha Macbeth: ♥
    Bleu Oleander: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
    Eliza Madrigal: ♥ ♥ ♥
    Bleu Oleander blows kisses
    Eliza Madrigal: golden Bleu...
    Agatha Macbeth: She's so amazing...
Eliza Madrigal: Bleu is very bad for my time management
    Agatha Macbeth: ha
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: too many interesting things...lol
Agatha Macbeth: Shall we hit the village hall then?
Eliza Madrigal: yup... will give time to freshen coffee
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: OMW
Eliza Madrigal: I'm wondering whether to 'announce' the snow egg idea...
    DR42 Resident: Bye everyone
Eliza Madrigal: or maybe wait to hear frmo Storm
    Agatha Macbeth: Snow egg?
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Marge
    Eliza Madrigal waves to Maud
Agatha Macbeth: Ah well, we'll see when we get there
    Eliza Madrigal: :))</grin>
