    Eos Amaterasu: solstice

    --BELL--

    stevenaia Michinaga: hi Eos
    Eos Amaterasu: greetings stevenaia
Eos Amaterasu: on this solstice night
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes, thank you
stevenaia Michinaga: we did a nice Qi Gong for the solstice today
    Eos Amaterasu: ah
Eos Amaterasu: personal motion cosmic motion?
stevenaia Michinaga: cycles, related to the Dao di Ching verse we were discussion today, I will get you a link

stevenaia Michinaga: nice discussion about yin and yang and the moments between watching passing thoughts during meditation
    stevenaia Michinaga: after the readings
stevenaia Michinaga: never thought about watching the space between the passing thoughts... until the spaces widen
Eos Amaterasu: that's catching yourself in the non-act

Eos Amaterasu: how do the spaces widen?
stevenaia Michinaga: I'll let you know, although the presenter suggests first.. watch the passing thoughts, then the spaces, they watch for the spaces more until they widen
    Eos Amaterasu: yeah
Eos Amaterasu: catching yourself between acts

Eos Amaterasu: transitions happen, anyway, so plenty of opportunities
Eos Amaterasu: for some reason I find the kitchen is a good place
stevenaia Michinaga: shall we try it at the next bell?
    Eos Amaterasu: indeed!
Eos Amaterasu: (several transitions just whizzed by :-)
Eos Amaterasu: chi gong movements happen in a big still space
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, stilllness is important
Eos Amaterasu: I sometimes stand and do simple chi gong in a ring of trees in the woods
Eos Amaterasu: the trees hold a rich stillness
Eos Amaterasu: I guess in doing chi gong there's catching and not catching yourself doing that

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: I think I require more than 90 seconds
stevenaia Michinaga: either there were no thoughts or all thoughts and no space
Eos Amaterasu: and lots of transitions from one to the other?
stevenaia Michinaga: seemed quiet until I saw myself listening to the quiet... then the sounds
    stevenaia Michinaga: no space
stevenaia Michinaga: need to cencetrate on not concentrating
Eos Amaterasu: yeah, we seem to kind of play a game with ourselves
Eos Amaterasu: give up both sides (sometimes in laughter)
Eos Amaterasu: "in the space where the deuce and the ace once ran wild" - Bob Dylan, "Farewell Angelina"
Eos Amaterasu: could be a space of humouring ourselves in our failure to either concentrate or not

stevenaia Michinaga: I think my meditation is putting me to sleep
Eos Amaterasu: I am half asleep myself
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, night, happy solstice
Eos Amaterasu: thought I would check into this virtual space at this time
    Eos Amaterasu: thanx, cheers, yes
stevenaia Michinaga: I w as hear earlier, no one else was
Eos Amaterasu: t'is often the case
