    Sylectra Darwin: hi susi!
Sylectra Darwin: You caught me woolgathering.
    Sylectra Darwin: How are you?
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
Susi Alcott: don't know the word woolgathering
Susi Alcott: how are you ?
Sylectra Darwin: Thinking about things; letting one's mind wander.
Sylectra Darwin: I am well, thank you!
    Susi Alcott: ah
Susi Alcott: you pls let your mind wander
    Sylectra Darwin: I do. :)
Sylectra Darwin: Are you almost done with your day?
Susi Alcott: cannot ever know because my day do not follow the clock
    Sylectra Darwin: ?
Sylectra Darwin: What is your usual day like?
    Susi Alcott: helping people
Susi Alcott: needed to find the 'usual' because I neither have much any usual days :)
Sylectra Darwin: how interesting! How do you help people? Are you in counseling, or social work?
    Susi Alcott: many questions there
Susi Alcott: my work is to exist
Susi Alcott: that's what my employer asked me to do when she hired me
Susi Alcott: I've given almost all of the paranormal 'titles' people have created
Sylectra Darwin: I see! You are a healer, aren't you?
    Susi Alcott: yes
Sylectra Darwin: so that makes your hours somewhat unpredictable.
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Sylectra Darwin: Hi Kirkra, Steven.
    Sylectra Darwin: hi samsara.
    Kirkra Caerndow: Hey hey!
    Samsara Silverstar: Hello

    Samsara Silverstar: Hi Susi
    Samsara Silverstar: thank you
Susi Alcott: we do our best _/!\_
stevenaia Michinaga: yes it was Pina Coladas all around last night, an example of "Play"
stevenaia Michinaga: Energy & Love was one of the first groups I found in SL
    Sylectra Darwin: awww
Sylectra Darwin: and what tag goes with that?
Samsara Silverstar: smiles, yes we have been on for a bit now
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, Rez day is very close to mine
    Sylectra Darwin: cute tag :)
stevenaia Michinaga: This group meets here to discuss, among other thing the nature of reality and Being
    Samsara Silverstar: listens
stevenaia Michinaga: the creator developed a 9 second meditative moment to be done every 15 minutes as a moment to take yourself out of one moment and reflect, calls it a 1% tax to meditate, some keep detailed blogs of their thoughts and post them
stevenaia Michinaga: me have had discussions about many related things since April 1st
stevenaia Michinaga: when the group officially began
Sylectra Darwin: It's been fun coming up with different topics.
    Samsara Silverstar: nice
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
stevenaia Michinaga: each meeting has a host of sorts to keep things organized and to post the log
stevenaia Michinaga: to the wiki, that I gave you
Samsara Silverstar: and what is the procedure for the 9 second meditation?
Sylectra Darwin: That's on the wiki too.
stevenaia Michinaga: we have "Scribes" who summarize every 12 meetings and post that
Sylectra Darwin: Stillness, an effort to set aside the worries of the day for just a short time.
Sylectra Darwin: We listen to the breath.
    Samsara Silverstar: ok
stevenaia Michinaga: and to see what fills the 9 second void
Sylectra Darwin: Afterwards we observe how the 9 seconds affected us.
    stevenaia Michinaga: hello Corvi
    Sylectra Darwin: Hi Corvi!
    Samsara Silverstar: Hello
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Hi, Steve, Susi, Sylectra, Sam..I feel like I've interrupted an "s" group meeting.
    Susi Alcott: hi Corvi
    Samsara Silverstar: smiles
    Sylectra Darwin: hehe
stevenaia Michinaga: this is an old friend Samsara, we were doing Tai Chi a moment ago
    Susi Alcott: no worry Corvi
Samsara Silverstar: nice to meet you Corvi
Susi Alcott: Steve has introduced the group to his friend here now
Corvuscorva Nightfire smiles..I think I've seen you around somewhere, Samsara.
Samsara Silverstar: probably, lol been in SL long enough
Corvuscorva Nightfire grins. I've followed Steve around a little, too.
    stevenaia Michinaga: my favorite stalker
Corvuscorva Nightfire makes stalky faces at Steve.
Sylectra Darwin: As a matter of fact, I am here because of Steve, too.
stevenaia Michinaga: It's those bread crumbs I leave in my wake that you can't resist
Corvuscorva Nightfire: Steve is such a good recruiter.
stevenaia Michinaga: I didn't introduce you to PaB, did I Corvi?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: nope, Wol did.
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Sylectra Darwin: well there ya go. Corvi is breaking the S curve.
Sylectra Darwin: It's a healthy thing.
Corvuscorva Nightfire grins. ok..I'll stay then.
Sylectra Darwin: So does anyone have a topic to discuss?
Sylectra Darwin: We could contemplate our navels :)
    Corvuscorva Nightfire rolls her eyes.
    Samsara Silverstar: smiles
Samsara Silverstar: I apologize but RL calls and I have to go. Thank you for welcoming me. Its lovely and I hope to share soon.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: bye, Samsara.
Samsara Silverstar: love and light everyone have a great discussion
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye
Sylectra Darwin: Steven, where did you meet Samsara? She was very nice.
stevenaia Michinaga: they have interesting discussions in their group, I haven't been there in quit a while
    Susi Alcott: need to relog
stevenaia Michinaga: I met her floating round in my SL youth, how can I resist and Energy and Love tag
Sylectra Darwin: That is a great tag.
stevenaia Michinaga: it's actually less structured than this group, and just as mellow considering they are from Buffalo
stevenaia Michinaga: hello Susi, welcome back
    Susi Alcott: ty
    Sylectra Darwin: wb Susi
stevenaia Michinaga: I have an annoying chest cold this week... reaching for my bourbon... I mean medicine
Sylectra Darwin: They are all from Buffalo? That is interesting.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire snorts.
Sylectra Darwin: Sorry to hear that, Stevie. my Nos has a nasty cold too.
stevenaia Michinaga: tell him the cure is closer than her think
Sylectra Darwin: I am okay though work is very hard right now. Last two days I have worked more than 10 hours at a stretch with no lunch break.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ok
stevenaia Michinaga: wow, hoping you enjoy it, or at least get paid for the extra work
stevenaia Michinaga: Pila suggested Yin Cho and Gan Mao Ling
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: for?
stevenaia Michinaga: I may be seeing what is available her
    stevenaia Michinaga: my cold
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: oh!!
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: they're herbs?
    stevenaia Michinaga: assumes so
Corvuscorva Nightfire: you ought to be able to find a Chinese herbalist there.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: in my area, I would check with massage folks and acupuncturists.
stevenaia Michinaga: there is one in town
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods, in your area one would expect at least one.
stevenaia Michinaga: very gifted with Chinese medicine, I am told
Sylectra Darwin: for colds? Emergen-C is great.
Corvuscorva Nightfire grins..that's what I use, too.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: zinc.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: but my partner goes to an acupuncturist who does traditional Chinese medicine.
Sylectra Darwin: I think a lot of Chinese medicine.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: It seems to work for her.
Sylectra Darwin: I had a vet once that used Chinese herbal therapy on my dog who had bone cancer. It helped him feel better for a while.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods, thoughtfully.
Sylectra Darwin: those mushrooms are amazing.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: the herbalist's mushrooms?
Corvuscorva Nightfire looks around for mushrooms in the building.
stevenaia Michinaga: Not sure you are using those for a cure Sylectra
Sylectra Darwin: It was so long ago, I can't remember what they were, but they sure worked.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: These aren't "special" mushrooms you're talking about, Syl?
Corvuscorva Nightfire's mouth twitches in a smile.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: herbalists mushrooms?
    Sylectra Darwin: hehe
Sylectra Darwin: no they were some kind of medicinal mushrooms from China.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: I see...they worked to slow the problem, ease the pain, or...?
Sylectra Darwin: I think they gave him more vitality, so that his remaining months were better.
Sylectra Darwin: His fur got shiny and he was more energetic. I didn't need to give him pain pills for a while.
Sylectra Darwin: So anyway, even though it didn't save him, I think Chinese herbals are great.
Corvuscorva Nightfire nods. What I LIKE the most about Chinese medicine is its emphasis on health, as opposed to curing sickness.
    Sylectra Darwin: yes! me too.
Sylectra Darwin: support of the total person.

Susi Alcott gave me an image called 'medicine ' flower025.

    Corvuscorva Nightfire nods.
Sylectra Darwin: thank you Susi. what is that a picture of?
Corvuscorva Nightfire: it looks like a magnolia flower on magnolia leaves!
Sylectra Darwin: what is it, Susi?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: a gardenia?
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: I see.
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: amazed you guys knew that
Corvuscorva Nightfire: only cause Susi told me.
    stevenaia Michinaga: oh...grins
Susi Alcott: the photo is of gardenia
    Sylectra Darwin: gardenia smells nice.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: sure does..if amazingly strong.
    Sylectra Darwin: peaceful night.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, I think I will sleep now
    stevenaia Michinaga: night my friend
Sylectra Darwin: I was walking in the snow tonight...very lovely
    Sylectra Darwin: night my friend.
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, very cold here
    Sylectra Darwin: feel better.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: night, Steve.
    stevenaia Michinaga: 11 degrees
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: ook..
stevenaia Michinaga: thank you for the flower Susi
Susi Alcott: gardenia is also known quite much as the special medicine flower
Susi Alcott: with many ways and to many problems
Sylectra Darwin: Well that is very interesting. I used to know of some medicinal flowers...studied aromatherapy and herbals...but have forgotten so much.
Susi Alcott: anything can be remembered again when it's urgent
Corvuscorva Nightfire: thank you again, Susi.
Corvuscorva Nightfire: it's time for me to go.
Susi Alcott: it's good to remember also that most of the medicine's heals only the symptoms
    Susi Alcott: _/!\_:
    Sylectra Darwin: night, Corvi.
Sylectra Darwin: I must go too.
    Corvuscorva Nightfire: night, Susi, Syl.
