Yakuzza Lethecus: yeah, i was waiting but i was nearly asleep anyway :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: i watch the screen while lying on the couch at that time usually :)

genesis Zhangsun: I lost internet connection about 5 minutes before

genesis Zhangsun: and then ran to an internet cafe

genesis Zhangsun: but their connection was not strong enough for SL

genesis Zhangsun: I could only manage to send emails out

Yakuzza Lethecus: i am just curious, i follow many events, i am not really related to law or what ever but it´s actually interesting to hear even more about those topics as well :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: i even heard about retreats here on pab for the first time

Yakuzza Lethecus: since buddism was also a bit alienated to me

genesis Zhangsun: well technically the retreat isn't a buddhist retreat

genesis Zhangsun: it is basically a continuation of what we do here

genesis Zhangsun: which probably has parallels to buddhist practices but isn't buddhism per se

Yakuzza Lethecus: yeah, i understood it in that way

genesis Zhangsun: so are you interested in attending the retreat?

Yakuzza Lethecus: nah, it's to far away and we just started working after our company was closed for 2 weeks

Yakuzza Lethecus: maybe if there might be one next year :P

genesis Zhangsun: sure, likely to happen. So why was your company closed?

genesis Zhangsun: holiday?

Yakuzza Lethecus: yeah, that was a regular thing

Yakuzza Lethecus: we always close for 2 weeks during the summertime, we are very small only 3 coworkers and the boss :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: so there was the "schützenfest" in the town i am working in

Yakuzza Lethecus: and that is usually when our vacation starts

Yakuzza Lethecus: I don't like the Schützenfest that much :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: for me it's just a cultural event where most of the people have the habit to get drunk :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: that's what i see in the schützenfest, everything else is tradition but i guess even the drinking is :D

Yakuzza Lethecus: i am not directly in balve, every villiage got it's own schützenfest here :)

Yakuzza Lethecus: i guess 3-4 weeks after i was born

genesis Zhangsun: and how have you found it so far?

Yakuzza Lethecus: it's just one place with very interesting people and especially openminded persons

Yakuzza Lethecus: great variation of topics!

Yakuzza Lethecus: sometimes it's hard to get topics started or to find something to discuss but when one starts it's usually great :)

genesis Zhangsun: yes thats true, so do you have an interest in meditation?

genesis Zhangsun: or "creative exploration" as I heard it called recently

Yakuzza Lethecus: i have, it's just one of many things i am interested in and i even think about my own thinking of the term ,,meditation"

Yakuzza Lethecus: in that past meditation was just something wired for me but i guess i acquired that by the people i am usually surrounded by

Yakuzza Lethecus: so changing the wired prejudice to get to ,,concepts to achieve more selfawareness"...

genesis Zhangsun: what do you mean by "wired"?

Yakuzza Lethecus: wiered ?

genesis Zhangsun: ah yes weird!

genesis Zhangsun: thats a big thing to overcome your own prejudicies

genesis Zhangsun: and to recognize that they were influenced by the people around you

Yakuzza Lethecus: to some part we need concepts in schema's and when you know it'´s even percieved as weird in ur usual peergroup then you don't elaborate much on it

Yakuzza Lethecus: here it's a normal topic thats actually very interesting

Yakuzza Lethecus: only with cds sometimes

Yakuzza Lethecus: i don't know if that really would count for you as meditation

Yakuzza Lethecus: there are a couple of meditations on the cds i am using

genesis Zhangsun: I suppose anything can "count" here as meditation :)

genesis Zhangsun: after all 9 seconds is a pretty quick "meditation" from a more traditional perspective

Yakuzza Lethecus: hehe, it's interesting to for example trying to imagine different perceptions like walking on sand, icecube melting...

Yakuzza Lethecus: or just to still the mind with relaxing the tongue

Yakuzza Lethecus: or different technniques

Yakuzza Lethecus: so it's quite new for me, and i don't do that regularly but i started at least to try some forms

Yakuzza Lethecus: with the 9 seconds i only try "not to think"
