Paul Namiboo: We can't all be in California -- the statistics are wrong
stevenaia Michinaga: if it gets crowded re can add more seats, but I figured many are at the retreat pre-diner
Paul Namiboo: Where/how do you arrange them?
doug Sosa: yes, they have been meeting for several meals in Berkeley. I feel like the lost kid going to camp.
stevenaia Michinaga: hope they have better thaqn sleping bags there
doug Sosa: It is just a gathering place for the drive over tomorrow. serendipity.
stevenaia Michinaga: do you live in CA Paul?
doug Sosa: Paul there was no invitation as such, all those participating were invited. you just arrived

Paul Namiboo: No big deal -- I'd be interested in getting to know people virtually and then comparing i n RL
doug Sosa: Nobody knows where i live. Under an olive tree beside the ganges of sonoma county

Paul Namiboo: What happens when someone just wanders into this group, not with a previous participant. Is that ok?
stevenaia Michinaga: there was a meeting of some group members in October
stevenaia Michinaga: they are welcomed, that;s why I am here
Paul Namiboo: If I could ask, have you had any problems with that?
doug Sosa: people do wonder in, often just fly away, but some seem to get it in seconds. Impressive.
stevenaia Michinaga: and they usually find it interesting or get bored and leave

stevenaia Michinaga: that was why I went to princeton, it was convenently close
doug Sosa: i think so, i am fairly sure Piet would be aware of that. Hope no smoke.
doug Sosa: Ah, so paul did go exploring.

doug Sosa: I would have liked princeton, i visited the institute in 1885
stevenaia Michinaga: I hope not
stevenaia Michinaga: it didn;t exist back then

doug Sosa: no, i saw the offline message - ah, that must be beause i've got him as a contact.

doug Sosa: about half the world wasn't born yet.
doug Sosa: It is an illusion sort of that the world will change before we die.
stevenaia Michinaga: what brought you there?
doug Sosa: I went to see how sociability workerd there. I was intersted in conversations across disciplines.
doug Sosa: Met with Geertz.
stevenaia Michinaga: do not knw Geetz
doug Sosa: I am going to have to go to make dinner.. he was a great anthropologist.
doug Sosa: bye. for now.
