The session was mostly taken up with thoughts about the retreat starting in the US, and possible places to hold one next year.    (I still vote for Kathmandu:))

Wol Euler: same applies to Australia and Hawaii, at least for me.
Wol Euler: mmm, probably, yes. Maybe a bit earlier
Wol Euler: late spring can be quite lovely here.
Wol Euler: have to see when people would be able to trvel
Gaya Ethaniel: Guess it would be either UK or Germany by headcount?

Wol Euler: Both have the advantage of a high proportion of English-speakers in the native population :)
Wol Euler: which is not true of Spain or France

Gaya Ethaniel: Anyway, if in summer I'm not so sure. I will be travelling sometime in August or September.
Yakuzza Lethecus: hmm, depends nobody in my environment speaks english fluently

Bertram Jacobus: i had already at a very special retreat a day without speaking, eating and drinking - very special. and was no problem at all.
Scathach Rhiadra: don't know about the idea of writing on boards durings conversation times though
Wol Euler: no, that feels like cheating.

Qt Core: for not native english speaker would be easier than really speaking ;-)
Scathach Rhiadra: it is more usual to have spoken teaching periods but silence for everything else
Gaya Ethaniel: Guess for absolute necessity, a board/pad is used?

Bertram Jacobus: yes. you may be right, but - i, for example, can´t do the 9 seconds very much ...
Wol Euler: I usually say "meditation and discussion"

SophiaSharon Larnia: i do the 9 sec whenever the computer is on (midfulness bell on it), which is most of the time when I am home
