Paradise Tennant: there 9 and one dog ..

Paradise Tennant: we ate curry worst went tobagganing .. visited a museum an aquarium toured around the city .. walked through several little xmas markets

Paradise Tennant: just kind of soaked up the atmosphere toured the Brandenburg gate ..met up with a couple of other sl friends of mine .. went to the botanical garden .. walked her favourite neighbourhoods

Paradise Tennant: had dinner at a spanish restaurant and listened to spanish guitarists .. with one of us singing .. along :) five really fun days

Paradise Tennant: we did two meditation sessions ..one was Hazel's first ..she found it .. engaging and a bit emotional .. amazing how strong the sense of community .. within the group
Paradise Tennant: though you may not have met in rl before .. you really do know each other

Sylectra Darwin: how long were the meditation sessions ?
Paradise Tennant: not that long maybe 10 to 20 minutes with discussion afterwards
Paradise Tennant: we sat around and had some very good talks much like here on a wide range of topics just in person
Sylectra Darwin: how wonderful
Paradise Tennant: I had met Yaku , Wol and Bertrum in Malta so was nice to see them again :)
Sylectra Darwin: Did you find it was easier to have the talks after meditating?
Paradise Tennant: yes .. we lit some candles .. because I find it much easier to meditate if I can focus on a flame ..
Sylectra Darwin: I find that helps too
Paradise Tennant: Bertrum talked about a number of Tibetan canons he has been studying
Sylectra Darwin: Or watching the wind in the high tree branches
Paradise Tennant: we talked of trying to find a temple to do a meditation in and ended up in a bedoin tent in museum instead :)

Paradise Tennant: nice to be part of a big group in a starnge city .. boxy had this great phone ap which allowed us to figure out how to get around right down to how many minutes to the next train :)

stevenaia Michinaga: was he short and sqaure in RL?
Paradise Tennant: I think there is llike 500 pictures :) boxy was snapping them non stop so you will be able to see .. just how much we were able to cram in - in such a short time :)

Paradise Tennant: smiles I would say - no at all box like but very much boxy :) spritely fun and full of whimsy

Paradise Tennant: it is really good .. to go places even though sometimes .. not that easy to make the effort it is always worthwhile

Paradise Tennant: came home pretty tired .. do not really sleep well in Europe ..too much of a time difference :) but well worth the fatigue slept 10 hours .. and I have 3 more days to get myself organized on a number of fronts so feel lucky :) thank full ;)
Paradise Tennant: we have really a wonderful collection of "souls" as Wol puts it :)
Paradise Tennant: just nice interesting company and this was perhaps the most active PAB event I have been to .. we were on the move constantly ..

Calvino Rabeni: It's a bit chilly, I might put on some movement-inspiring music
Paradise Tennant: we had our first snowfall today .. big fat flakes .. one landed on my lip .. like winter's first kiss .. ouch I am getting poetic lol
Calvino Rabeni: Big old drafty house, no central heat

Calvino Rabeni: Yes but I use it for storage :)
Calvino Rabeni: Though, maybe those things burn okay
Paradise Tennant: smiles .. might be an idea nothing more cheery on grey days than a fire going :) and the kettle on :)

Paradise Tennant: always nice to come home from a trip .. almost as though it is sensory overload and somehow being home calms everything down :)

Calvino Rabeni: My attention went to the far distance and I noticed a flock of migrating Canada geese in the distance
Calvino Rabeni: I like that they are nocturnal flyers
Paradise Tennant: smart birds :)
Paradise Tennant: actually there are some great documentaries on them .. their migrations are a real feat
Calvino Rabeni: I was at a lake recently at night and there was a large number of ducks gathered there floating ... so it seems they are nocturnal too
Calvino Rabeni: I think perhaps they gather into larger groups at night, their small groups coming together
Paradise Tennant: yes there is safety in numbers
Paradise Tennant: in the harbour some night is looks like almost a big blanket of ducks on the water .. all bobbing . along

Lucinda Lavender: this story gave me a new view about rats...which in light of reading hte nutcracker story to my children has been a part of daily life recently
Lucinda Lavender: and may be something new to say
Lucinda Lavender: I have read several versions and tried to simplify the story a bit
Calvino Rabeni: that's interesting, what's the gist of the story?
Lucinda Lavender: in that story the rat fights the nutcracker and gets knocked out by the girls shoe being thrown at him...then nutcracker turns into a prince
Lucinda Lavender: the interesting part to me is that in the girls real life after being given the nutcracker...jealous brother injures it...and she goes into a dream seeing the story unfold
Lucinda Lavender: wakes up with nutcracker beside her
Lucinda Lavender: and so there was much to talk about regarding waking up
Calvino Rabeni: that was an interesting part of the story ?
Lucinda Lavender: and remembering the vivid stories of the dream
Lucinda Lavender: waking from dreams...interesting...how real life can figure in...
Lucinda Lavender: I was able to ask...have you ever remembered a vivid dream...?
Paradise Tennant: smiles was listening to a dream a friend of mine had when she was a child .. she use to be running away from someone and when she really had to she could run up into the air to get away :)
