    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Carl :)
carlicann Resident: Hello Eliza! Greetings Love!
Eliza Madrigal: Great to see you
carlicann Resident: Day 5 of my PaB Experiment
Eliza Madrigal: interested to hear your results so far
Eliza Madrigal: or ongoing data collection ^^
carlicann Resident: I have seen Bruce Mowbray's Kilt from every angle... ummm invokes a gag reflex LOL
    Eliza Madrigal laughs
carlicann Resident: I have integrated learning about facilitation into my profession... convinced the bosses ... that we will either be very successful at facilitation or else LOL

    carlicann Resident: Hiya Maude! Hugs!
    DR42 Resident: Hi
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Maude :)
Eliza Madrigal: what would it mean to be successful at facilitation?
Eliza Madrigal: everyone's creativity at full flow?

    --BELL--

carlicann Resident: facilitation is leading groups thtrough their energy cycles.. to create and own their reality
Eliza Madrigal: can kindness be facilitated?
DR42 Resident: Well, it can certainly be infused.
Eliza Madrigal: can be "hosted" in a certain way... but I guess the opportunity must arise?

Eliza Madrigal: Carl, just to let you know, during this session we sometimes extend the pauses from 90 seconds out to 5 minutes
Eliza Madrigal: once, we extended the pause to ten minutes to do a Dash exercise actually
carlicann Resident: kk I'm up for that Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
carlicann Resident: as soon as all the ladies stop IMing me LOL
Eliza Madrigal: well you are such a sharp dresser ^.^

DR42 Resident: I used to cultivate spies through out the company. If someone had a terrible time, They would get flowers. The florist would say that someone came in, paid cash, left no name. The card said: A Random Act of Kindness.
    Eliza Madrigal: lovely gesture Maude
carlicann Resident: wow Maude... that would be really interesting in DC lol

Eliza Madrigal: was speaking with a friend this morning, who lost her mom this year... she was talking about all the cards and phone calls that came in and she ignored...
Eliza Madrigal: but she said it did matter... she just couldn't reach to respond

carlicann Resident: IMs are quiet just now... maybe I should dress down and take the butt physics off lol
    Eliza Madrigal giggles

Eliza Madrigal: her comments though, got me to thinking that most things are like that.. one never knows
Eliza Madrigal: what may have mattered a lot to someone, or have affected this or that

Eliza Madrigal: care for tea? :)
DR42 Resident: I see no reason to not practice random acts of kindness every day.
carlicann Resident: a spot of tea... would be loverly
Eliza Madrigal: seems to be the way we are wired... impulse to connect, to smile
Eliza Madrigal: many kinds of tea ... just click...
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Eliza Madrigal: one minute until the pause...

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: I'll ring the singing bell to mark end after 5 minutes :)
carlicann Resident: sorry not to be attentive... ladies keep bothering me lol

    (ding)
    Eliza Madrigal: *
carlicann Resident: the years fly by so fast
    Eliza Madrigal: do seem to

carlicann Resident: anthem I still love ... is tagged 1975.... hmmmm almost 40 years ago...
Eliza Madrigal: I remember playing a game in the car as a kid "where will you be in the year 2000?"
carlicann Resident: somewhat comforting that 40 years old songs are still sung today
Eliza Madrigal: and I thought ohhh that's so far awayyyyy
    carlicann Resident: awwww yep....
carlicann Resident: if you labeled anything as 2000 ... it was futuristic ... lol
    carlicann Resident: Teacup 2000 lol
Eliza Madrigal: we'll surely have flying cars by then :P
    carlicann Resident: exactly...
Eliza Madrigal: but we do have video phones ^.^
carlicann Resident: what the heck happened to flying cars? lol
Eliza Madrigal: nice idea "on paper"
DR42 Resident: Geez, you want the FAA involved in that?
carlicann Resident: Need FAA and FEMA permits lol
Eliza Madrigal: well we'll surely have evolved by then... such a high sense of manners that little policing will be required
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

carlicann Resident: the assumption of infinite energy is evaporating... "will my grandkids ever fly" is a valid question
DR42 Resident: The promise that it would be so cheap to generate electricity that it would be free.
Eliza Madrigal: really something to think about.... kind of strange to be asking questions like that at the same time as private companies are figuring out getting to Mars
    Eliza Madrigal nods Maude...
    carlicann Resident: Mar Mission
Eliza Madrigal: much less the 4 day work week, since we'll have so much leisure time

carlicann Resident: I heard a scarry vision
carlicann Resident: Imagine self replicating machines... like mountain top removal on steroids...
DR42 Resident: Yes, but private companies do not have the organization (government) sclerosis that NASA has to deal with.
carlicann Resident: invading the moon and mars
    Eliza Madrigal: both true...
Eliza Madrigal: can't be going to other planets just because we stay attached to some idea of continual economic "growth" as the only way to thrive

Eliza Madrigal: :) well... one minute to next pause... let's consider kindness for 5 minutes
    Eliza Madrigal: ::::breathe and settle:::::

Eliza Madrigal: "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." Aesop

    --BELL--

carlicann Resident: I'm not rejecting... institutional scelorsis... maybe there is a good side to that... careful deliberation... democraccy have a role in society.... maybe to be cherished... they don't have those luxuries in Syria.... for example

    Moon Fargis: bing ;)

Eliza Madrigal: Hello Moon :) lovely to see you again
    carlicann Resident: Hiya MOON!
    Moon Fargis: greetings everyone
Moon Fargis: oh we got a new addon to the pavillion ?
carlicann Resident: these ladies are bothering me maybe you can help LOL... kidding
Moon Fargis: sure, ladys, bother me!

Eliza Madrigal: we're pausing, technically, but good to make exceptions
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Eliza Madrigal: poor Carl... ladies in IMs and ladies in pavilons
    Moon Fargis: life is hard
carlicann Resident: not Syria kind of tough... but it has it's moments lol

Eliza Madrigal: :) the structure was made by Bleu... the idea was to find ways to set different environments for sessions...
    Moon Fargis: ah i see
Moon Fargis: is it controllable also ?
Eliza Madrigal: so this is a tea hut modeled after one in Kyoto
carlicann Resident: interesting.. Kyoto Tea Hut
Eliza Madrigal: yes... its an object so controllable to person
Eliza Madrigal: but not a "pab object"
    Moon Fargis: ah ok ㋡
Eliza Madrigal: it actually comes from a wonderful set of videos you can find on youtube called "Dream Window"
    Moon Fargis: cool

    Eliza Madrigal: >ding<
    Eliza Madrigal: lol
    Moon Fargis: :D

Eliza Madrigal: do you think our ideas of kindness can be played upon?
Eliza Madrigal: it is easy to know that picking up the items someone dropped and giving them back, is kind... but then there are other kinds of questions... like Syria

DR42 Resident: I was thinking that true kindness needs a component of non-self.
Eliza Madrigal: please say more Maude?
DR42 Resident: The Government has not acted out of kindness, but self-interest.

carlicann Resident: I imagine a higher purpose... for gettting together... and ppls often trample upon the purpose... and kind of upsets me.... like saying the pledge of allegiance... and not following through in actions
Eliza Madrigal: when the government comes and says "this is what is happening and it would be unkind to let it continue..."
Eliza Madrigal: then each is asked to look inside themselves and make a judgment, though they can't *know* the right thing really

DR42 Resident: Picking up an item is done without expectation of reward. Action in Syria by the US is done for political and "security" gains, not in the interest of the Syrian people.
carlicann Resident: yes, I am very suspicious of action in Syria
    Eliza Madrigal: helpful distinction...

Moon Fargis: one has dutys as "world police" its a hard desission to look away when one seems himself as the saviour of the world peace and is under the pressure that everybody else expects to act right
    Eliza Madrigal: yes
carlicann Resident: what moon said lol
Eliza Madrigal: and if others unable/unwilling
DR42 Resident: When the US first got involved in Afghanistan, the Russians were there and we were helping the "Rebels" fight the good fight. That is how we armed the Taliban. I can see that happening in Syria as well.
Eliza Madrigal: often aren't those with right motives not in a position to really have an impact?
DR42 Resident: But we are not the world police, foreign policy has never been based in kindness, but in the greed of self-interest and money.
    Eliza Madrigal: true enough

    --BELL--

carlicann Resident: war pigs... there is slaughter... and ppls looking to profit from that... the whole situation horrifies me.... so much selfishness... is justifying so much human suffering

Moon Fargis: whats right or wrong? today you grow a plant in the good belive it will help, 60 years later it became a old tree and stands in the way of a family car who crashes against it and all dies. It is impossible to always act good if world is made of karma and randomness. But whenever we can stop suffering, either by interfering or not we are needed todo so

Eliza Madrigal: oops... the next pause :) I will ring the bell after 5 MINUTES! :))

carlicann Resident: yeah what moon said heh
carlicann Resident: I don't trust the news....
carlicann Resident: they are asking us to kill ... and justfiying it
    carlicann Resident: bollocks
DR42 Resident: Carl, you need to work on the concept of 5 minute pauses.
    Eliza Madrigal smiles

Eliza Madrigal: "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers." Tennessee Williams

    Eliza Madrigal: ty Moon... lovely
Eliza Madrigal: it is a strange rhythm to get used to... extending.. when there is already an end bell
Moon Fargis: hm in zen you have several bells
    Moon Fargis: before it starts
Eliza Madrigal: interesting, didn't know that
carlicann Resident: <--- properly scolded... these ladies make up their own rules... lol.. help me moonie lol

Moon Fargis: stay calm and have tea

    Eliza Madrigal: off road adventures

DR42 Resident: This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness. Dalai Lama

    Eliza Madrigal: * _/!\_
Moon Fargis: indeed, and tea ㋡
    Eliza Madrigal: and tea :)

    1pm_004.png

Eliza Madrigal: there is a subtle thread running through the session... about not knowing... even not knowing "results" we chose and act
Eliza Madrigal: or choose not acting

Eliza Madrigal: `smiles... love this feeling... tea house taken over by time
Moon Fargis: i always loved places where nature took back what have been taken from it
    Eliza Madrigal: mmm

    Eliza Madrigal: Hello Paradise!
    Moon Fargis: greetings paradise
    Moon Fargis: welcometo paradise :D
    carlicann Resident: Hiya Paradise
DR42 Resident: Would that be the case in the West Virginia Coal mountains, but those cannot be rebuilt.
Eliza Madrigal: the joy of a holiday... get to see friends normally in other session times

carlicann Resident: the weeds seem to be overtaking our tea house
Paradise Tennant: smiles waves all round hiy eliza moon carl marjorie .. checks through the shrubbery for anyone she may have missed :))))
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
carlicann Resident: there's only a handful of nude bloated carccasses hidden in the weeds
    Eliza Madrigal: yikes
DR42 Resident: We need to hire a gardener.
Eliza Madrigal: Moon is our wild gardener
Paradise Tennant: this is just lovely :))
    Moon Fargis: :D
Eliza Madrigal: like Muso Soseki... he likes to keep things a little untamed
Eliza Madrigal: (Muso is the poet/garden sculpturer featured in the Dream Window videos, and someone Hana studies) :)

Eliza Madrigal: we're close to our last long pause....
Eliza Madrigal: 5 minutes and I'll ring the bell when finished
    Eliza Madrigal: at 1:05pm :)

DR42 Resident: “Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.”

    --BELL--

carlicann Resident: Hndu Saying: All we know is but a handful of what we do not know
    Eliza Madrigal: oops 2:05
carlicann Resident: Moon's got musical intentions
    Eliza Madrigal: namaste
DR42 Resident: I just found this quote...
    Moon Fargis: namaste

DR42 Resident: “I hope you will have a wonderful year, that you'll dream dangerously and outrageously, that you'll make something that didn't exist before you made it, that you will be loved and that you will be liked, and that you will have people to love and to like in return. And, most importantly (because I think there should be more kindness and more wisdom in the world right now), that you will, when you need to be, be wise, and that you will always be kind.”

    Moon Fargis: _/!\_
    DR42 Resident: ηαмαѕтє and goodbye
Paradise Tennant: smiles oh that is perfect thank you majorie
    Eliza Madrigal: wonderful !
Eliza Madrigal: the strength of the blessing knocked her offline
Moon Fargis: i think i should also go and get some things done, was good to be here today
Eliza Madrigal: was lovely for you to come again Moon
Paradise Tennant: smiles thank you for the garden moon:)
