2013.09.27 19:00 - bottling the PaB experience

The Guardian for this meeting was Eos Amaterasu. The comments are by Eos Amaterasu.

stevenaia Michinaga: filling in for Luci?
Eos Amaterasu: I like how in Second Life we take these sudden coming into appearances for granted
Eos Amaterasu: (re stevenaia suddenly rezzing)
Eos Amaterasu: Yes, suddenly decided to drop in

    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: "sudden coming into appearances", you mean like cloud to avatar
Santoshima Resident: 's current display-name is "San".
    Santoshima Resident: greetings
    stevenaia Michinaga: hi San
    Eos Amaterasu: hi San
Santoshima Resident: hi, sorry didn't notice the ribbon lit up
    Santoshima Resident: how're you two?
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: good, I just wnated to make sure Luci's session was covered and found Eos here

Eos Amaterasu: contemplating how this pavilion and fountain space hosts a saner society
    Santoshima Resident: :)
Eos Amaterasu: like usually we have "moments of silence" when someone dies
Eos Amaterasu: or some bad event happens
stevenaia Michinaga: how?, must be the ivisbl barrier to keep out the insnae
Eos Amaterasu: but maybe "good moments of silence" is just the ticket
Eos Amaterasu: the insane can't figure it out and leave
Eos Amaterasu: the sane can't figure it out and stay
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
    Santoshima Resident: [snort}
stevenaia Michinaga: sounds like the witch test from the middle ages, (or monty python) if you sink, you are not a whitch
stevenaia Michinaga: ... the sane can't figure it out and stay
Eos Amaterasu is thinking of essence of the best of Tahrir Square, here, there, distributed
    Eos Amaterasu: what is that?
    stevenaia Michinaga: Egypt
stevenaia Michinaga: the sane seek answerers when we probably have them and don't realize it

Eos Amaterasu: do you think the PaB experience could be bottled and made available everywhere?
Eos Amaterasu: (and what is the PaB experience?)
stevenaia Michinaga: that is the problem, defining what keeps us here
    Santoshima Resident: typos
    Eos Amaterasu: :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: we are like a deck of cards, with 52 answers
    Santoshima Resident: next question?
stevenaia Michinaga: but all out of the same deck
Eos Amaterasu flips through the cards
    stevenaia Michinaga: queen of hearts
    Eos Amaterasu: kuanyin

Eos Amaterasu: ah - I got it! ... the bottle, that is
Eos Amaterasu: with a 90 second timer, it emits a mist
    Eos Amaterasu: portable PaB

stevenaia Michinaga: do you throw them in an ocean and see who ends up with them?
Eos Amaterasu: yes, and bury them in rocks and caves
Eos Amaterasu: for the future and for the present

    --BELL--

Eos Amaterasu puts the cork back in the bottle
stevenaia Michinaga: dificult for an individual to find the bottle, open it and have a group appear
Eos Amaterasu: true, better to share the bottle together
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, perhaps we should put wine in it and have PaB at the bottom
Santoshima Resident: what is precious can't be replicated, not repeated if sought out to be repeated, seems so
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
Eos Amaterasu: yes, the best you can do is to appreciate spontaneity
Santoshima Resident: no such thing as Pab experience, except that which is precious and inherent to each who meet here. meditation is a birthright
Santoshima Resident: contemplative life is an open possibility
    Santoshima Resident: imho
    Santoshima Resident: yes, sponteneity
Eos Amaterasu: yes, that's the whole question, how to present and share that experience with no ownership
Eos Amaterasu: here there is no name for it
Eos Amaterasu: but it still draws
Eos Amaterasu: maybe we share the space of not having to go anywhere

stevenaia Michinaga: seem to me that a "place " (where ever that is) is an important aspect of draw
Eos Amaterasu looks at an architect :-)
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: giggles, sustainable employment
Eos Amaterasu: yes, and I really like this place, for example
    Santoshima Resident: yes
Eos Amaterasu: is there a RL square or circle somewhere that's like this?
stevenaia Michinaga: in SF, near where they had the retreat
    Santoshima Resident: oh
Eos Amaterasu thinks of large squares with cafés on the side
stevenaia Michinaga: will find a pic
stevenaia Michinaga: same shape, not suitable for larcge groups however
Santoshima Resident: what is it's use?
    stevenaia Michinaga: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b2/Japantown-pagoda-crop.jpg
    Santoshima Resident: a pagoda
Eos Amaterasu: oh, that's pretty exactly where we did an RL retreat, at Hotel Kabuki, in San Francisco
stevenaia Michinaga: not sure, it was more of a defining place object in a plaza
    Santoshima Resident: ty, steve
    Santoshima Resident: good to see
stevenaia Michinaga: I stayed in that hotel years ago
stevenaia Michinaga: love the soaking tubes in the rooms

    --BELL--

    Santoshima Resident: tubs?
stevenaia Michinaga: instead of typical bathtubs they had deep soaking tubes in the floor of the bathrooms
    Santoshima Resident: tubes?
    Santoshima Resident: like
Santoshima Resident: you slotted your body into the floor?
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes tubs, oops
    Santoshima Resident: oh, ok
    stevenaia Michinaga: hehe
    Santoshima Resident: { the "pab experience" ^}
    Santoshima Resident: :) typo-city
Santoshima Resident: makes it all very interesteing
    Santoshima Resident: and interesting
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, at least I;m consistant
    Eos Amaterasu: and when it gets excited it's { the "pub experience" }
    Santoshima Resident: :))
    Eos Amaterasu: Play Up Being
    Santoshima Resident: :)
    Santoshima Resident: laughing over here
    Eos Amaterasu: celebration brings peace
    Eos Amaterasu: and it's fun
    Santoshima Resident: true!

Santoshima Resident: g'night to you both ... back to packing up my home ... moving
Eos Amaterasu: best of luck with that, san
    Eos Amaterasu: ciao!
Santoshima Resident: ty, eos ~ bfn
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye San
stevenaia Michinaga: I was recently startled when I received this request.."We are conducting a survey to gather comments for the PAB re-accreditation of the University of Pennsylvania. "
    Eos Amaterasu: !
    Eos Amaterasu: ha ha
stevenaia Michinaga: Planning Accreditation Board (PAB)
stevenaia Michinaga: it took me a moment
stevenaia Michinaga: I;m going to head out, have a good weekend
    Eos Amaterasu: you too, steveniaia
Eos Amaterasu: will also ciao out
