    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Qt :)
    Qt Core: Hi Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: Good to see you... how is the day?
Qt Core: good, it seems we are going to have at leas one extra week of summer
    Eliza Madrigal: very warm?
    Qt Core: low 20 (C)
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
Qt Core: yes, 18-25 C is the range where one could wear whatever he wants
Eliza Madrigal: :) and the temperature in Miami for maybe a few delightful weeks a year

Eliza Madrigal: we have unusual topics for the next few weeks...
Eliza Madrigal: dealing with "world peace"
Qt Core: i was told yesterday was a UN sanctioned peace day
Qt Core: or the day before ?
    Eliza Madrigal: day before yesterday
Eliza Madrigal: and unfortunately some took it as a chance to make violent statements
Eliza Madrigal: but still... a worthy aspiration eh?
Qt Core: in many place it wasn't known
Eliza Madrigal nods... I didn't know until the day after

Eliza Madrigal: for most of us it is about small matters, but I guess they are microcosms of the large ones
Eliza Madrigal: peace with family, peace with self

Qt Core: in Italy the day celebrating (asking for) peace is 1/1 as sanctioned by the catholic church
Eliza Madrigal: interesting... how do you feel about Pope Francis?
Qt Core: he is a little mad, what the church need ;-)
    Eliza Madrigal: haha yes
Eliza Madrigal: people are going a little wild calling him 'liberal' and yet...
Eliza Madrigal: I think his shows of humility are genuine
Eliza Madrigal: maybe we're tired of elevating celebrities and want to celebrate more "the common man" :) or that might be wishful thinking
Qt Core: those are nice signs, we'll see when he start having a more "real" impact to the church

Eliza Madrigal: during the US elections there were these "nuns on a bus"
Eliza Madrigal: who went around raising awareness of poverty
Eliza Madrigal: they were saying that the church was going too far away from its heart

    --BELL--

Qt Core: yes, but it can't go all out and build a parking lot in St. Peter square to use the tolls for the poor ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: ... yes I suppose
Eliza Madrigal: I wasn't raised Catholic, but I always associated the Catholic church with charity and hospitals... until I grew up

Qt Core: but Francis' idea of opening the closed and void monasteries to for refugees is interesting
    Eliza Madrigal: seems sensible
Eliza Madrigal: my first feeling is 'why not'
Qt Core: there are a lot of them in Italy (void monasteries, refugees from northern africa and lately poors)
Eliza Madrigal: yes, this makes sense to me... and for the church, certainly raises sense of relevance in our time

Eliza Madrigal: so many refugees now... have been watching the numbers grow in Syria for a few years...
Eliza Madrigal: what that must feel like. hm
Qt Core: to think it seemed one of the quietest country of that area
Eliza Madrigal nods... the times they are a changin

    switching gears...

Eliza Madrigal: :) My we are cheery today
Eliza Madrigal: what are you cooking? :))
Qt Core: i had some risotto with mushrooms for dinner
    Eliza Madrigal: perfect
Eliza Madrigal: I'm not great with risotto but did make it just right once
Qt Core: most inportant part...don't burn it i sometimes forget i'm cooking ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: ah, yes risotto must be stayed with :)

Qt Core: (sadly thinking that officially since today, even without a paper with weight and calories on it, i'm on diet)
    Eliza Madrigal: :) what sort?
Qt Core: the one with no sugar
Eliza Madrigal: yikes... but that is great for you
Eliza Madrigal: I've been trying to get rid of sugar for a while and I do pretty well
Eliza Madrigal: and then.... big lapses :)
Qt Core: depending on how long i want to live, yes
Eliza Madrigal: ooh I see... yes then you'd do well to be attentive

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: what are you substituting with?
Eliza Madrigal: sugar is in so many things... white rice, flour
Qt Core: well, i'm not going to zero, it is impossible
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Qt Core: i mostly taking out the huge amounts of coke i drink (my main problem as i just hate the diet ones)
Eliza Madrigal: the diet ones are just as terrible for you I think... the syrup
Eliza Madrigal: that one thing will go a long way!

Eliza Madrigal: I remember your saying you don't drink coffee...
Qt Core: yes, where to get some caffeine now ? ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: so maybe can find different teas or something
Eliza Madrigal: become a tea addict
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Eliza Madrigal: I'd better go... speaking of food :)
    Qt Core: enjoy then :-)
Eliza Madrigal: nice to see you Qt, bfn
    Qt Core: bye

Eliza Madrigal: thanks for being here
