The Guardian for this meeting was stevenaia Michinaga. The comments are by stevenaia Michinaga.
stevenaia Michinaga: I believe Eos is out of town so I will sit for him :)
... meanwhile... some time later....
Eos Amaterasu: Hi stevenaia
Eos Amaterasu: Sry I'm late - remembered this earlier, then forgot!
--BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: Greetings, I thought you might be away so I thought I drop in and sit in case anyone showed up
Eos Amaterasu: but no one did (other than you)?
Eos Amaterasu: thank you, stevenaia
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, so i am waiting, no problem
stevenaia Michinaga: how was your flight?
Eos Amaterasu: flight was good (ie, uneventful :-)
Eos Amaterasu: this week's theme is creativity?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes
stevenaia Michinaga: I thought about something interesting about creativity, I find I usually don;t forget things in the mist of thinking creatively
stevenaia Michinaga: I mean, what every creative thing I am doing
stevenaia Michinaga: usually it is a very fluid process, plenty of places for ideas to hid, but they usually don;t get lost
Eos Amaterasu: the lucidly relevant halo stays visible?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, interesting
Eos Amaterasu: lots of short term memory items and their relationships available in the creative intention?
stevenaia Michinaga: I don;t think s. I think they are deeply rooted ideas that are assembling themselves before they becoem what might appear to be instantanious or short term
stevenaia Michinaga: unconscious to conscious
stevenaia Michinaga: I remember at one of the retreats we did an excercise of watching our thoughts of quite a few minutes, after word I was able to recollect the entire chain of images, eventhough they could have appeared quite unrelated
stevenaia Michinaga: that's why I sence them as more than short term whisps
--BELL--
Eos Amaterasu: in the example you gave there was some sense of intention
stevenaia Michinaga: intention of observation
Eos Amaterasu: which pulls along things under the surface...
stevenaia Michinaga: is that what yu mean
Eos Amaterasu: letting them nuzzle and self-assemble
Eos Amaterasu: till that reaches conscious recollection?
stevenaia Michinaga: when I work in a creative way, I always "build" a series of drawings to record the sequence
stevenaia Michinaga: I think when I recollected the string of observations from the retreat, Ialso "sketched" out the sequence as I remembered them
stevenaia Michinaga: perhaps it is a developed short hand for me
stevenaia Michinaga: how does creativity work with you when you work?
Eos Amaterasu: I think there a sense of immersion
Eos Amaterasu: pre-occupation with the subject area
Eos Amaterasu: so focus, but in a very broad sense, like ongoing interest, including adjacent areas
Eos Amaterasu: and some allowance, space, letting it come up, emerge
Eos Amaterasu: which can happen in unexpected contexts, like when going for a walk
Eos Amaterasu: and things snap into a different kind of focus
Eos Amaterasu: kind of a rolling out: perspective changes so new things become possible
stevenaia Michinaga: do you think the creativity finds itself from within or outside in
Eos Amaterasu: mutual dance
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Eos Amaterasu: that changes, this changes
Eos Amaterasu: ie, this being perspective from which I look out
Eos Amaterasu: at that
Eos Amaterasu: so that changes
stevenaia Michinaga: stacking on top of of the previous
Eos Amaterasu: and that changing changes the perspective
stevenaia Michinaga: nods, like a pathway
Eos Amaterasu: it's kind of personal, I suppose
Eos Amaterasu: maybe the taking it personally is important
Eos Amaterasu: it affects you
--BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: bed time
stevenaia Michinaga: night Eos
Eos Amaterasu: moi aussi - thank you very much stevenaia
Eos Amaterasu: (btw did you claim the session?)
Eos Amaterasu: (like Einstein visualizing himself sitting on top of a light wave)
