Qt Core: saying good morning remind me so much about english lessons when the teacher would enter and says "good morning students" and you HAVE to answer "good morning professor" ;-)

Qt Core: not really, my actual english came from tech manuals and harry potter fanfiction, my school english was always a just enough to pass (and i didn't liked it too)

Qt Core: i find it quite funny too :-)
Wol Euler: whatever works for you, I'd say. It's important that you learned English, not that you learned it from a professore.
Qt Core: nowadays being able to read wikipedia would be a good enough reason to learn it ... and being able to talk to a few billion other people too
Wol Euler: my clever niece taught herself Latin with a dictionary and a copy of Haroldus Potterus :)

Qt Core: having something you WANT to read is a great incentive, yes,... but latin!
Qt Core: sometimes i wondered if speaking a language so connected with latin is an advantage or a disadvantage in learning it (i studied it a little and it was hard, especially the italian to latin part

Wol Euler: like learning Dutch for German people is much harder than learning both for outsiders is
Qt Core: but not close enough to be interchangeable, yes... what the hell is this three gender thing and declinations nightmare ?

Qt Core: Harrius Potter et camera secretorum ... it almost seem pig latin ;-)
Wol Euler: I never read it :) that may not have been what she read, which *was* real Latin because it got her into classes in university
Qt Core: could me an interesting read i would probably laugh most of the times

Qt Core: exactly, last week i wanted to "protest" against the limited time offer... that was up for a couple months, still a limited time but...

Qt Core: the lack of real use of the login waiting message seems to be a sign of a lack of commercial life for SL/Linden lab

Qt Core: after you give the password while it is loading it show a message, now it advertise some dance event

Qt Core: no, about sl, big places advertising themselves, maybe rl companies advertising their sl presence (but most aren't anymore here)
