The Guardian for this meeting was Lucinda Lavender. The comments are by Lucinda Lavender. Attending were Eliza and stevenaia.

Lucinda Lavender: Sitting by myself I think
    Lucinda Lavender: very slow connection
Eliza Madrigal: 's current display-name is "Eliza".
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi Eliza!
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Luci :))
Lucinda Lavender: nice to see you...
Eliza Madrigal: I suddenly feel an urge to find my pajamas
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: yes:)
Lucinda Lavender: tell me a little about stickiness
Lucinda Lavender: how has that been going?
Eliza Madrigal: Not many sessions have stayed with it actually...
Eliza Madrigal: the original idea was to talk about patterns we get stuck in, I think...
Eliza Madrigal: revisiting and questioning those
Eliza Madrigal: but we can talk about anything you like of course
Lucinda Lavender: good to think about patterns I think
Lucinda Lavender: interesting view...with the objective /subjective
Eliza Madrigal: patterns can be freeing as well as trapping
Lucinda Lavender: creation of a new pattern?
Eliza Madrigal: was thinking of karma I guess
Eliza Madrigal: what do you think?
Lucinda Lavender: I was thinking about how one reacts to certain situations
Lucinda Lavender: tell me about Karma
Eliza Madrigal: same I guess... actions, reactions... patterns of such
    Eliza Madrigal: habitual tendencies
Eliza Madrigal: or choices to step out of those
    Eliza Madrigal: aspritations
Lucinda Lavender: aspirations towards peace, acceptance
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Lucinda Lavender: lately I have been trying to create time for meditation and when I do it I feel a certain calm
    Eliza Madrigal: very good example
    Lucinda Lavender: a centering
Eliza Madrigal: I've gotten away from regular meditation and I don't feel good about that
Eliza Madrigal: each time I sit it all comes back so easily and I can't imagine why I would ever let it slip
    Eliza Madrigal: but I do
Lucinda Lavender: it does take a certain regularity to maintain
Eliza Madrigal: maybe part of it is seeing that, it isn't all up to me
Lucinda Lavender: i figure I am building a path way with it
Eliza Madrigal: when do you most like to meditate? certain times of day?
Lucinda Lavender: I try at 7 am
    Lucinda Lavender: my time
    Eliza Madrigal: nice
Lucinda Lavender: and just for 20 minutes
Eliza Madrigal: so you feel calm then... grounded?
    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: well i like to think that I am dropping some anxiety with it...and as a result creating a more peaceful body to carry me along...
Eliza Madrigal: " a more peaceful body " -- intriguing Luci, please say more?
Lucinda Lavender: a more relaxed body maybe...one that can drop anxiety more easily.
Lucinda Lavender: last week a teacher (English) for both of my children died unexpectedly...
    Eliza Madrigal: Oh dear
Lucinda Lavender: not sure the reason
    Lucinda Lavender: big memorials planned
Eliza Madrigal: hits close to home
Lucinda Lavender: but somehow it causes one to stop and question...
Lucinda Lavender: her motto was tell the truth, be kind and eat your vegetables
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Lucinda Lavender: she was a super helper of children
    Lucinda Lavender: listened and share
    Lucinda Lavender: d
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps she poured her life out
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
Eliza Madrigal: a gift to know someone like that, even for a short time
Lucinda Lavender: i can dedicate my meditation to her
Eliza Madrigal: that's what I try to say to myself when I want to stomp my foot and not understand some losses
    Eliza Madrigal: nice idea
Lucinda Lavender: yes...living is a hard thing sometimes
Lucinda Lavender: how do you deal with patterns of self doubt...that is one of the ones I would like to work on
    Eliza Madrigal: hm... layers
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Stevie :)
    Lucinda Lavender: I steveie
    stevenaia Michinaga: TGIF
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Lucinda Lavender: TGIF
stevenaia Michinaga: how is everyone this evening?
Eliza Madrigal: when you mentioned a more peaceful body, Luci.. I thought about how sometimes when I feel small, I'm aware of a larger "me" that doesn't
Lucinda Lavender: we are talking about patterns...and remembering to meditate, and losses of teachers, and self doubt...to name a few thoughts
Eliza Madrigal: and I just give her the tasks I feel too small to face
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Eliza Madrigal: but that sounds more simple than it is... kind of fairy tale
stevenaia Michinaga: I have been remiss in my meditation, but refinding it now
Lucinda Lavender: ah...you give the bigger self the big tasks
Eliza Madrigal: yes... sort of hand it over ^^
Eliza Madrigal: me too Stevie... was saying that
Eliza Madrigal: Luci is getting us back on track
stevenaia Michinaga: stange how it always feels so good when I do, but yet I often just let myself not do it
    Eliza Madrigal: exactly
Lucinda Lavender: i have experienced the loss of one of my children's young and vibrant english teachers
stevenaia Michinaga: makes no sence why I wouldn't except things jsut repalce my meditation time with other things
Eliza Madrigal: ohhh English teachers... have a special place in my heart
Lucinda Lavender: and have dedicated the meditation to her passing
Lucinda Lavender: I have placed on my fb page a letter by a student
Eliza Madrigal: my son went to see Hemmingway House today, on a field trip with a teacher that has really inspired him this year
    Lucinda Lavender: wow...I am imaginging
stevenaia Michinaga: you never can guess where inspiration will meet you
Lucinda Lavender: a journey of sorts into the life of a teacher as well
stevenaia Michinaga: just need to keep your eyes open
Eliza Madrigal: he has been getting in the car for a few weeks telling me all the reasons he thinks hemmingway might be his favorite writer... mostly thanks to a teacher who takes time to dialog
    Eliza Madrigal: not just spout
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Lucinda Lavender: and say...7 am calls...
Eliza Madrigal looks at Luci's FB, brb
Lucinda Lavender: 7 am is the sitting time
stevenaia Michinaga: a consistent time is a very good idea

Eliza Madrigal: so young... is that an early photo?
    Lucinda Lavender: pretty young
Lucinda Lavender: 40's perhaps...I do not know...but a powerful person
Lucinda Lavender: able to interact with many people
Eliza Madrigal: the student letter... very touching :*(
    stevenaia Michinaga: nice stories
Eliza Madrigal: especially like "despite my grade in her class she said I could change the world..."
    Eliza Madrigal: big mind
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!!!
Lucinda Lavender: that impressed me too
Eliza Madrigal: she saw him as a whole person, not just a child doing or not doing well in her class at that moment
    Eliza Madrigal: rare sightedness
Lucinda Lavender: that is why I say a powerful person
Eliza Madrigal: isn't it encouraging Luci, to read how deeply teachers touch their students?
    Lucinda Lavender: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: impact their whole lives, on the scale of parents
    Lucinda Lavender: it really is
stevenaia Michinaga: nice that there is a place where people can share these thoughts
    Lucinda Lavender: certainly
Lucinda Lavender: I went to a few of the student poetry readings back a while ago
Lucinda Lavender: had school dreams the day of
Lucinda Lavender: and was struck by how the poetry and the dream overlapped
Lucinda Lavender: we come together on some different levels
    Lucinda Lavender: dreams and writing
    Eliza Madrigal: ah :)
Eliza Madrigal: it is as though something in all of us supports others even without knowing
Eliza Madrigal: "holding hands in the dark"
    Lucinda Lavender: that is it...exactly
stevenaia Michinaga: grrrr, cat just drank my tea
stevenaia Michinaga: he has good taste
Eliza Madrigal giggles @ stevenaia... I took my glass away from the cat a few moments ago... finished my water before she did
Eliza Madrigal: (btw, hemmingway cats have 6 toes)
Lucinda Lavender: one student spoke in her writing of a brother with problems...and my dream was about a phone answering machine that said "Suizart"...A place for dealing with thoughts of suicide efficiently and therapeutically...
Eliza Madrigal: oh... is that a place in RL Luci, or a mythological kind of dream place...overlapping the difficulties?
    --BELL--
