Paradise Tennant: I was organizing my sailing gear ...
Paradise Tennant: use to sail quite a lot - lately not so muhc
Paradise Tennant: I was going sailing and I was worried because I was going dinghy sailing
    stevenaia Michinaga: (back, computer froze)
    Lucinda Lavender: nods...good job Steve
Paradise Tennant: I have not handled a dinghy in a good long while .. mostly moved on to bigger boats
Paradise Tennant: and I was going to be racing with a bunch of people I knew but not well sort of friends of friends
Paradise Tennant: and all this was going to happen on pitch black night
    Paradise Tennant: no moon
    Paradise Tennant: no starts
    Paradise Tennant: just darkness
Lucinda Lavender: what do you mean about "starts"?
Paradise Tennant: was stuffing things into a kit bag - thinking really hard on how I could actually do that .. and knowing for some strange reason I really had to do that
    Paradise Tennant: no stars
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
Paradise Tennant: no light just blackness
Paradise Tennant: so off I went - people were milling around but all you could hear were sounds
Paradise Tennant: boats being hauled around
    Paradise Tennant: sails going up
Paradise Tennant: shouts to and fro
stevenaia Michinaga: were you going somewhere?
Paradise Tennant: I found my boat
Paradise Tennant: it was a kind of a race
Paradise Tennant: but an impossible one really
Paradise Tennant: no visible start line
Paradise Tennant: no visible finish line
Paradise Tennant: so I pulled out the sails and put them up by touch fumbling around a lot
    stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Paradise Tennant: not hoisting though just getting ready to launch
Paradise Tennant: still kind of scared silly
Paradise Tennant: and I pulled the boat towards the sounds of the water ..
Lucinda Lavender: nodding...was this a recent dream?
Paradise Tennant: launched it hopped on board put the sails up and off it went
    --BELL--

Paradise Tennant: and i was sailing solely by feel of the wind and the reactions fo the boat .. and sound
stevenaia Michinaga: like you wee a blind sailor
Paradise Tennant: and the fear just dissolved everyone was shouting .. like they were having fun .. still total chaos mind you because people were crashing and capsizing .. but fun

    Paradise Tennant: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/canada/ontario/toronto
Paradise Tennant: just made me wonder
Paradise Tennant: funny kind of dream
Paradise Tennant: I was thinking it was kind of a metaphor for life
Lucinda Lavender: can you say more?
Paradise Tennant: well our lives are constrained by our senses
Paradise Tennant: and they really in the final analysis capture a tiny fraction of the data that comprises reality
    Paradise Tennant: particularly vision
Paradise Tennant: if you let go of that ..
stevenaia Michinaga: yes, and people can still do so much even w/o vision
Paradise Tennant: there are other ways
    Lucinda Lavender: closing ones eyes
    Lucinda Lavender: listening,
    Lucinda Lavender: imagining
stevenaia Michinaga: we had a High School girl speak at a meeting, she was top of her high school class

Paradise Tennant: I have a friend who use to sleep with her homework under her pillow :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: did it work?
Paradise Tennant: well not sure there was ever a conclusive .. finding on that
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
Paradise Tennant: but you know what we believe so shapes us and the world we create around us I would vote yes as long as she really believed

Lucinda Lavender: Flow gently sweet Afton...
Lucinda Lavender: brings to mind row row row your boat
    Paradise Tennant: yes
Paradise Tennant: his poetry .. morphed and influenced
Lucinda Lavender: “Flow gently, sweet Afton, amang thy green braes, Flow gently, I'll sing thee a song in thy praise; My Mary's asleep by thy murmuring stream, Flow gently, sweet Afton, disturb not her dream. Thou stock dove whose echo resounds thro' the glen, Ye wild whistly blackbirds in yon thorny den, Thou green crested lapwing thy screaming forbear, I charge you, disturb not my slumbering fair. How lofty, sweet Afton, thy neighboring hills, Far mark'd with the courses of clear winding rills; There daily I wander as noon rises high, My flocks and my Mary's sweet cot in my eye. How pleasant thy banks and green valleys below, Where, wild in the woodlands, the primroses blow; There oft, as mild evening weeps over the lea, The sweet-scented birk shades my Mary and me. Thy crystal stream, Afton, how lovely it glides, And winds by the cot where my Mary resides; How wanton thy waters her snowy feet lave, As, gathering sweet flowerets, she stems thy clear wave. Flow gently, sweet Afton, amang thy green braes, Flow gently....

    Lucinda Lavender: oops
    Lucinda Lavender: alls well
Lucinda Lavender: today my mother in law was feeling better and said...well why aren't you out playing in the green grass?
    Lucinda Lavender: good question

Paradise Tennant: I hope you have a lovely evening and a very happy robbie burns day to you hon !
Lucinda Lavender: i thanks so much and the same for you!
