SophiaSharon Larnia: I'm very laggy today, chat is behine :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: behind*
Bertram Jacobus: i see ... again and again i think : my new computer is really a gift. only VERY few lag anymore ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: mine was new as of last Novemebr, but thats nothing in the way computers change
Bertram Jacobus: and always if something is not running correct i can think now : it´s not my computer ;o)
Bertram Jacobus: that´s very helpful, especially with sl
Bertram Jacobus: strange how much resorces that seems to use ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Qt Core: it eat a lot of ram
SophiaSharon Larnia: (wonders sometimes if the lights will dim , all the juise used here) ;P
Bertram Jacobus: yes. and a friend of mine said it would do very strange things in the graphik card areaas well - hm ... ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh?
Shyama Sheryffe: does anyone have same problem as me that as i quit sl and try to start again it wont start but requires me to restart the whole pc ?
Qt Core: never happened to me
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats happened to me too Shyama
Bertram Jacobus: all phenomenons i already experienced with sl ... ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
Bertram Jacobus: :-)
Qt Core: i approached sl only after getting a new, big pc
Bertram Jacobus: also what you describe. or more simply : yes shyama :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: lol QT
Qt Core: (and a nice connection too)
SophiaSharon Larnia: Qt I was reading some of the logs, about your trip....
Qt Core: yes ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: and wondered, how was the flight?
Qt Core: for being my first it was even better than taking a bus
SophiaSharon Larnia: yea!
SophiaSharon Larnia: because my first flight was just a few years ago
Qt Core: they told me we had some big turbolence in one of the flight but i slept it ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh thats good I havent hit real turbulence yet
SophiaSharon Larnia: it was a mini epiphany, my first flight, how it didnt feel right and right at the same time
Bertram Jacobus: the fontane ... is it hypnotising a bit ? ... ;o)
Bertram Jacobus: fontaine*
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Bertram
Bertram Jacobus: uh
Qt Core: yes, bert, to me it seems as the water flow keeps getting lower and lower but it never change height really
Bertram Jacobus: i see ...
Bertram Jacobus: various things can be seen in it may be -
SophiaSharon Larnia: what do you see in it now?
Bertram Jacobus: i just looked around it a bit, just playing, nothing serious ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: smiles
Bertram Jacobus: drips ...
Bertram Jacobus: nice ones ... :-)
--BELL--
SophiaSharon Larnia: wants to swim in it, it's hot outside :)
Bertram Jacobus: temperatures raise ...
Bertram Jacobus: i read about ideas to install devices in space to lower the sun influence if necessairy ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: the first flight I ever took, I did managed to doze off for a few minutes, and had a dream with one thought that woke me up...what do we do when the light turns red? I couln't sleep again on a flight ;P
SophiaSharon Larnia: like some kind of sheild Bertram?
Qt Core: i have no problem sleeping, i have a massive sleep debt accumulated in last couple year
SophiaSharon Larnia: ah yes
Bertram Jacobus: yes exactly. many shields
SophiaSharon Larnia: a part of me thinks this technology is already being developed and tested
Bertram Jacobus: a part of you ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: haha
Bertram Jacobus: which part ? and which part not ? :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: ok bad way to put that, I am phone it in today, so to speak
SophiaSharon Larnia: phoning it*
Qt Core: and they could even have solar cells on the outside side...
Bertram Jacobus: yes
Bertram Jacobus: they ? we ? :-)
Bertram Jacobus: mankind ?
Qt Core: we can have solar cells on us ? ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: as expensive as things in the space program is, the money is probably being funneled somewhere else
Bertram Jacobus: noo lol that was not what i meant :o)
SophiaSharon Larnia: we kind of do :))
Bertram Jacobus: ah. like in the film the 4th of july ? ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: hmm maybe lol
SophiaSharon Larnia: movies addressing an idea people have in a fantastic way
SophiaSharon Larnia: brb
Bertram Jacobus: hello stevenaia :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: Hi Stevenaia :)
stevenaia Michinaga: hello
Shyama Sheryffe: hi stev
Qt Core: hi Stevanaia
Bertram Jacobus: i would like to ask : are you engaged in other projects or groups linked with the pab ? and if yes - how ? or in another way also questioned : what can one do else with this project ?
Qt Core: i may like it but i can't find the coupling of will, time and commitment to do it
Bertram Jacobus: ah okay. i see ...
Bertram Jacobus: but if you wanted to, you would know how ?
Bertram Jacobus: and what ? ;-)
Qt Core: i think i would ask someone of the other guardian or in the Kira Cafe or on the relative websites
Bertram Jacobus: okay. very easy :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i wish I could go to more Kira groups, never seem to be on when they are going on
Qt Core: i have the feeling of always been in the wrong timezone too ;-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: :)
Qt Core: being
--BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: and other meeting areas here ? are there some and are they used ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: there are quite a few discussion groups in sl
Qt Core: i only went a couple time to the Kira Cafe, it is north, from here
Bertram Jacobus: and what did you find there qt ? :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: I think there is a balloon ride that takes you there
Bertram Jacobus: okay. thanks for the hint stevenaia :-9
SophiaSharon Larnia: Join the Kira Cafe group, Bertram :)
Qt Core: a nice place, science related meeting
Bertram Jacobus: yes. i saw it, but did not use it yet steven :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: yes
Qt Core: something in japanese too if you can understand it
Bertram Jacobus: oh no - for sake not (japanese) -
stevenaia Michinaga: then there is always the "Landmark"
Bertram Jacobus: thanks for the lm steve :-)
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
stevenaia Michinaga: they have an index of all the groups inside
Bertram Jacobus: and sophias - you take part in such discussion groups ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: I would like to participate more
SophiaSharon Larnia: but have not gone in a long time
Qt Core: they send a few notices too about all the meetings they have, it make you wish you have a third life ... to attend to all of them
Shyama Sheryffe: what was that landmark ?
Bertram Jacobus: okay ... so you mostly participate here ?
stevenaia Michinaga: some have logs on the Kira site
stevenaia Michinaga: yes
Bertram Jacobus: of kira cafe shyama
SophiaSharon Larnia: I wanted so much to go to Stim's workshop, but felt I was 'behine' the class, and not sure if it is still going on
SophiaSharon Larnia: behind*
Bertram Jacobus: what was the topic in that class sophais ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: oops sorry brb
Bertram Jacobus: np
SophiaSharon Larnia: Ways of Knowing
Bertram Jacobus: sounds interesting ...
stevenaia Michinaga: Thu, Aug 6 Ways of Knowing Workshop: Stim Morane (1400 - 1500)
stevenaia Michinaga: :)
Bertram Jacobus: whereas ... knowing ... i think it´s alway "only relative", isn´t it ? ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: ty!!
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes Bertram :)
Bertram Jacobus: and isn´t the question for the absolute much more interesting ?
SophiaSharon Larnia: it is, but for me to get there from here, takes small steps ;P
Bertram Jacobus: or many question related to that. for example how to reach it. about several ways ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: different ways that can be used to arrive at an understanding of reality.
Bertram Jacobus: modesty ... a graet quality ... *sigh* ...
Bertram Jacobus: but from a certain point, understanding may not help anymore (?)
SophiaSharon Larnia: I like to think how they interact.. the different ways of knowing, and how they influence each other
Bertram Jacobus: who do you mean with "they" ? :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: the different ways appearances are interpreted and how
SophiaSharon Larnia: people in general
Bertram Jacobus: okay. nice
SophiaSharon Larnia: its rather clinical, that way of looking at it
--BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: what do you mean with that ? is that good or not so good ? :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: at risk of saying something 'strange' here (haha), I fall back on theoretical explorations when I feel emotionally involved in what I'm thinking about.
SophiaSharon Larnia: (ugh lag is bad)
Bertram Jacobus: i think, the "strange things" often are the most authentical ones ...
SophiaSharon Larnia: oh yes
Bertram Jacobus: and i like them very much
Bertram Jacobus: appreciate them
Bertram Jacobus: it needs encouragement to express them
SophiaSharon Larnia: the emotional involvement that I am talking about here is sometimes stranger then the refuge of theoretical ones ;P
Bertram Jacobus: i think that is very normal ... :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: a way of knowing is sometimes not read about in books or heard from others, sometimes an idea just comes to the surface on its own
Bertram Jacobus: yes. i know a phenomenon at the billiard game (!) : sometimes one "knows", that the hit will be alright - and that happens then, too
SophiaSharon Larnia: yes :) its like that
Bertram Jacobus: :-))
SophiaSharon Larnia: i think things surface when you are reading to hear it, but sometimes this gets intense
SophiaSharon Larnia: so rely on what others have to say about it
SophiaSharon Larnia: well, maybe not rely, so much as want to hear other pointsa of view
Shyama Sheryffe: its kind of syncronism
SophiaSharon Larnia: :) love that!
Bertram Jacobus: yes. that touches the general topic of "interaction versus the own world" ? ... :-)
Bertram Jacobus: and i think, because we are gregarius animals, we like so much understanding (me too !) ...
Shyama Sheryffe: gregarius ?
Bertram Jacobus: beings living in grous normally
Bertram Jacobus: and traditionally
Shyama Sheryffe: ah...
Bertram Jacobus: groups* :o)
Shyama Sheryffe: nods
Bertram Jacobus: :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: born to seek
Bertram Jacobus: sure ? :-)
Shyama Sheryffe: and being connected with ppl...
Shyama Sheryffe: is a kind of spirituality to me
Bertram Jacobus: "yes" - it´s a fate ... karma ...
Bertram Jacobus: but - even thus i´m nearly addicted to groups, connections, understanding etc. - spirituallity goes wider as only in relation to others, no ? :-)
SophiaSharon Larnia: thats lovely Shyama
Shyama Sheryffe: yes..
Bertram Jacobus: fine. nice. ...
Bertram Jacobus: wonderful. to understand and to feel to be understood ...
Shyama Sheryffe: if we r separated..its not right way to me..
Bertram Jacobus: i have the same impressions . i think, being connected is ... a goal, a normal state, kind of home ...
Shyama Sheryffe: nods
SophiaSharon Larnia: lately i have been feeling a pulling away, in seeing appearances as full, this is not permenant but if feels like it is okay to do, right now
SophiaSharon Larnia: i dont know what this means yet lmao
--BELL--
stevenaia Michinaga: I must be off, thank you
Bertram Jacobus: bye steve
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye Stevenaia :)
stevenaia Michinaga: bye
Shyama Sheryffe: i must go too, goodnight everyone :)
SophiaSharon Larnia: i have to go to work myself :))
Bertram Jacobus: bye shyama
SophiaSharon Larnia: bye for now:))
Bertram Jacobus: bye sophias
Bertram Jacobus: that was fast ... ;-9
Bertram Jacobus: qt ? not here anymore ? :-)
Bertram Jacobus: ok - i´ll try the baloon ride ! ... cu man ... :-)
Qt Core: almost
Qt Core: see you
Bertram Jacobus: :-)
