    Pila Mulligan: hi Scath
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Pila
    Pila Mulligan: how are you?
Scathach Rhiadra: fine thanks, and you?
Pila Mulligan: I'm fine also, thanks
Pila Mulligan: was just enhoying the art display and saw you come in
    Pila Mulligan: j*
    Scathach Rhiadra: ah
Pila Mulligan: I was interested in reading old chat logs to see that you are a pilot
Scathach Rhiadra: I haven't flown for a few years
Pila Mulligan: I'm not a pilot, but I have flown some and love flying
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: :)
Pila Mulligan: may I ask how you got initerested?
Pila Mulligan: not to pry :)
    Pila Mulligan: hi Bertram
Scathach Rhiadra: can't really remember, just went to an airport one day and started taking lessons
    Pila Mulligan: cool :)
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Bertram
Bertram Jacobus: whaow - good morning pila ! and scath ... :-)
Pila Mulligan: how are you Bert?
Bertram Jacobus: ty. fine. very much happening in my life ... and you ? :-)
Pila Mulligan: fine also, thanks ... and enjoying a remarkable uneventful phase of liviing
    Scathach Rhiadra: i#m fine too
Pila Mulligan: in contrast to much happening
    Bertram Jacobus laughs :-)
    Bertram Jacobus: yes ! ;-)
Pila Mulligan: Scath and I had just exchnaged a few comments about flying airplanes
    Pila Mulligan: in RL
Bertram Jacobus: this weekend i seem to have a bit less "action" , may be am a bit less asked by duties and similar things ...
Pila Mulligan: are the things happeneing in your life now tending to be favorable in your view Bert?
Bertram Jacobus: ah. what was it in special ? or may be somebody likes to give me a nc so that you don??t "have to" repeat ? :-)
Pila Mulligan: just a few brief lines, nothng deep really
Bertram Jacobus: okay - and favorable ... :
Pila Mulligan: I arrived just before you did
    Pila Mulligan: cool
Pila Mulligan: :) happy to hear it is so
Pila Mulligan: do you think there is any skill to keeping up your luck?
Bertram Jacobus: it??s really amazing, i feel so free in my life like ... never before ? i think, i can say that. am astonished by myself about that. but it longs now already so long - many month that my feeling is ... different, free ... that i nearly have to say so - for example
Bertram Jacobus: yes : skill to meet the transcendent
    Pila Mulligan: :)
Pila Mulligan: I agree empirically and intuitvely, but it is difficult to describe rationally
Bertram Jacobus: yes. but for example : my refuge lama has cast me out (!) - and i gain advantages even from that (!) ...
Pila Mulligan: ahh, sounds like an interesting life episode
Bertram Jacobus: i??m happy you understand so well ! ... :-)
Scathach Rhiadra: yes, tell us more, if you would like to:)
    --BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: i don??t know what to tell may be best - but perhaps this : it??sm a chance and challenge to kinda "grow", to take even more responsibility for all i am , i do and such ... another point ... :
Bertram Jacobus: in the teachings is said " in the end even sangha and dharma dissolve, only the (so here called) "buddha nature" stays" - that??s what i associate also with this current happenig in ma life, hm ...
Pila Mulligan: can you relate any characteristics of dharma to these events, Bert?
    Pila Mulligan: hi Yak
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello Yakuzza
Bertram Jacobus: and i agree very much and feel also : all relative constantly changes, only the so to call "absolute" doesn??t ...
    Pila Mulligan: :)
    Bertram Jacobus: hey yaku :-)
    Scathach Rhiadra nods
    Pila Mulligan: yep
    Yakuzza Lethecus: good morning
Bertram Jacobus: yes pila - were / are my writings which were a bit overlapping perhaps already be the answer to your remark ? :-)
    Pila Mulligan: sure
Bertram Jacobus: so nice ... :-)
Pila Mulligan: I'd like to see them
Pila Mulligan: oh, you mean your just previous comments ...
Pila Mulligan: i was thinking an essay or blog :)
    Pila Mulligan: excuse me
Bertram Jacobus: it feels all right and free from suffering - sadly not for all beings ... :-/
Pila Mulligan: perhaps more beings may learn how to skillfuly seek the freedom you desribe over time
Bertram Jacobus: ah. sry. again and again sometimes i feel, my abilities with the language limit my possibilities of the conversations here very much, also a bit sad, but i (and we) seem to have to live with that ...
    Pila Mulligan: hi Darren
    Darren Islar: hi everyone
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey darren
    Scathach Rhiadra: Hello darren
Pila Mulligan: Bert, what you have said was not difficult to understand, actually
Bertram Jacobus: but pila - if that meets your words perhaps : i think, it??s just meditation and do good deeds which help for all this
    Pila Mulligan: cool
Pila Mulligan: so those skills are part of seeking freedom
Bertram Jacobus: and good morning to holland darren ! :-)
    Darren Islar: hi bert :)
Bertram Jacobus: yes. i like to say so pila - they can free from being apart and help melting into the wu wei ...
Bertram Jacobus: (so many words one could use!) ... ;-)
    Pila Mulligan: nice description
Pila Mulligan: nad in a sense dissolving a bond with a teacher is part of the melting, isn't it
Bertram Jacobus: yess. can be and in my situation i feel this as an important aspect
Yakuzza Lethecus: i constantly come to the issue that ,,whenever i feel good and patient" i reached everything i could ever grasp for but what is the point of grasping for understanding elements of taoism or other spiritual idea??s then other then have new unique elements to learn that destinctivly concern with new words what??s already there anyway
Pila Mulligan: yes, Yak, words are a double edged sword
Bertram Jacobus: but it was already "a bit" of that (feeling in flow) before - now all simply fits in a way ...
Scathach Rhiadra: can help with refining understanding maybe, so give more insight/
Bertram Jacobus: and i have impressions of "good times for many to gain insights" ...
Pila Mulligan: I cannot speak German or Dutch, so but for your generoist in speakng English I'd just be sitting here feeling things instead of readint the text
Darren Islar: but it is the insight what it is all about, if words don't do it for you ....
    Pila Mulligan: generosity*
Pila Mulligan: spoken words do not work for me very well in RL because I'm pretty deaf, but I enjoy movies because much of the story is visual
    --BELL--
Pila Mulligan: life is pretty visual sometimes too, and very feeling oriented as well
    Pila Mulligan: insight :)
Bertram Jacobus: many people seem to be very "visual - orientated" - but i seem to be a bit different : i feel myself very focussed on the mind??s qualities and functions, more abstract - not only this for sure, but quite intense - not many people seem to share such a disposition ...
Scathach Rhiadra: yes I agree Pila, and insights gsined from a lived life are the only ones that really stick
Bertram Jacobus: and i like to play with experiences and logic ...
Scathach Rhiadra: oh I think a lot of people who come here would share your disposition Bert:)
Bertram Jacobus: hm - okay - you??re right scath - but for that i like to admit : when it get??s "too complicated" for me - my abilities then show their limitations quite fast ... ;-)
Darren Islar: I thinkit depends on what is really meant here
Bertram Jacobus: what do you mean darren ?
Darren Islar: I think on a psychological level we all have experiences fo a more or less stable mind
Darren Islar: especially the ones that includes meditation in their lives
Darren Islar: but I don't know if that has got something to do with the absolute
Darren Islar: which actually can't be approached on that leve
    Darren Islar: level
Bertram Jacobus: whcih approach would you see darren ?
Darren Islar: I cant say bert what you really mean and what you have learned
Darren Islar: but I feel I'm hasitating a bit in hearing such big words
Darren Islar: I don't know yet, because I only know the psychological leve
    Darren Islar: level
Darren Islar: I know it is there, sometimes touching it, most of the time unexpectedly
Darren Islar: and I knwo it is there because I see it functioning in my teacher(s)
Bertram Jacobus: so much what could be said to that (!) ...
Darren Islar: and that is what I can say about it, actually, not knowing more
Darren Islar: I don't know about you, but I've seen people mixing up the different layers of psychology, symoblism and wisdom
Darren Islar: and I think the absolute can only be 'touched' at the wisdom level
Bertram Jacobus: first what came into my mind about that, was :
Bertram Jacobus: there are or i know two ways of handling something : we can say, we understand or we can say, we can??t . understand each other for example . and there always are common things and differences . and we can focus both . it??s in so many texts said that we decide and create what happens. so i for example prefere to understand, to try at least and to see and feel the common things . but one can??t do that for others for sure
    --BELL--
Bertram Jacobus: what not means, that i wouldn??t see the different and dividing aspects too or would deny them ( an often occuring misunderstand??ng)
Pila Mulligan: last night I met a person involved with making a beautiful Stonehenge site in SL with all the background science interactively shown -- she said something regarding logic, abstract mental qualities and complicated functions, and it was so interesting that I made a copy of the log to remember it (here it is):
Pila Mulligan: Pila Mulligan: I was at Stonehenge earlier, what a nice setup, intricate _____________: It has been fun to do - I'm glad you like it Pila Mulligan: I'm glad you did it -- and had fun _____________: the best part was working with ___ - the code ___ wrote for the planetarium is very accurate indeed Pila Mulligan: yes, I was overwhemed in fact by the details, but my right brain is lazy or is it left brain? overwhelmed in an appreciative way :) _____________: I'm fairly certain the patience and precision parts about the design and build of Stonehenge are feminine characteristics, not really right-or left-brain Pila Mulligan: ah interesting and probably true, too
Pila Mulligan: found that to be food for thought
Darren Islar: you said Bert: so i for example prefere to understand, to try at least and to see and feel the common things
Darren Islar: that seems to be an accurate description
Bertram Jacobus: yes - i hope that this way of choosing may support all constructive ...
Darren Islar: and I'm afraid Pila that woman are more advanced in combining left and right thinking:)
Darren Islar: the brain is supporting that more
Darren Islar: at the same time there are so many parts of the brain that need to work together
Pila Mulligan: aspects of the absolute probably percolate up through the layers of intellect, psychology and symoblism
Darren Islar: aspects of it sure
Pila Mulligan: then those may blossom in time
    Darren Islar: in moments yes
Pila Mulligan: for indiviudals seeing them
Bertram Jacobus: and i think about the big and great words that not only buddha and jesus spoke ... if such people hadn??t done so ... we would miss may be the most important help we have in life (and many others may have been followed, but not so famous) ...
Bertram Jacobus: and the lectures explain also that, don??t they ? i think, most of us may know them (?) : that we first see a bit of that, then more and more and in the end it gets constantly ...
    Bertram Jacobus: becomes*
Darren Islar: I don't know about the latter, lacking the experience, but I agree Bert, I'm happy there are buddha;s and poeple like Jesus around to teach us
Pila Mulligan: helping us get parts of life to work together :)
Bertram Jacobus: i think we can be so happy to live in circumstances like the current ones are (!) ... have so many possibilities to grow
    Darren Islar: true
    --BELL--
Pila Mulligan needs to slip away to dreamland (11:00 pm here) -- thanks Darren, Scath, Bert and Yak, nice to see you :)

    Bertram Jacobus: namaste

    Darren Islar: :)

Darren Islar: bye Bert, Yaku :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye darren
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bye bert
