    Raffila Millgrove: hi Luci
    Lucinda Lavender: Welcome Raffila!
    Lucinda Lavender: Hi satoshima:)
    Santoshima Resident: hi Luci :)
    Lucinda Lavender: striking outfit!!
Santoshima Resident: ah, it's for warmth, an the bright lights of sl
Lucinda Lavender: since you are sitting...I think you might be back home?
    Santoshima Resident: hello Rafila
    Santoshima Resident: yes, back home
    Raffila Millgrove: hi San
Santoshima Resident: and happy to be here
    Lucinda Lavender: congratulations:)
Raffila Millgrove: just "Raffi" is fine.
    Santoshima Resident: hi!
    Santoshima Resident: ty, loooong flight
    Lucinda Lavender: HI Raffi
Raffila Millgrove: you were travelling San?
Santoshima Resident: for the past month, living in Pune, India
Raffila Millgrove: what was it like there?
Raffila Millgrove: were you there for business or pleasure?
Santoshima Resident: not so much travelling, as staying put
    Santoshima Resident: both
Santoshima Resident: studying at the Iyengar institute
    Santoshima Resident: yoga practice
    Raffila Millgrove: ah. how wonderful!
Raffila Millgrove: do you teach yoga yourself?
Santoshima Resident: it was wonderful ... yes, i teach, mostly study and practice

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: wow...a bus just passed by I think...
Lucinda Lavender: did either of you see that?
    Santoshima Resident: here?
Lucinda Lavender: it was behind you raffi
Raffila Millgrove: mm no. missed it.
Santoshima Resident: nope, didn't see ...
Lucinda Lavender: yesit was sort of sialing in the air it appeared
    Santoshima Resident: huh
    Lucinda Lavender: then dissapeared
    Lucinda Lavender: dissipeared
Lucinda Lavender: I for get how to spell disippeared
Lucinda Lavender: the spelling has dissipeared
Raffila Millgrove: I dreamed last night that an object called "iscar" in my inv.. told me--that my $linden account was being drained by some object.. but it didn't name the object--sent these diagrams of a Buddha and many little budha following it.. and taking money each hour..
    Lucinda Lavender: interesting Raffi
Santoshima Resident: whats it mean to you?
Raffila Millgrove: it was so believable. i was panicky.. i woke up and say to self. just a deam.. but then fell back asleep with more of same.
    Santoshima Resident: persistant message
Lucinda Lavender: could the attraction of 2L be a drain?
Raffila Millgrove: yes. i think. related someone to this battle i am having (totally losing too) with the LL over lost inventory. huge loss. Entire collection of my medical gear for nearly five years.
Raffila Millgrove: i think.. that it was about how draining this battle is .. how hopeless.
Santoshima Resident: that does sound so ...
Raffila Millgrove: yeah. the person who writes me doesn't read my letter.. ignores what i say.. shows no compassion. if they would have said. so sorry for your loss. would have made all the difference. my husband was the one who insisted that i make a ticket, try my best to get them to help me.
Raffila Millgrove: i knew it would be pointless.. and so it is proving to be.
Lucinda Lavender: so sorry for your loss...
    Raffila Millgrove: thank you luci.
Lucinda Lavender: are you saying...this is a secondlife loss?
Santoshima Resident: i was about to ask
Lucinda Lavender: I am about to crash...
Raffila Millgrove: yes. it's just huge SL loss. cause it wiped me out--most of the stuff was very old, rare, irreplaceable. no point to go round collecting new stuff.
Santoshima Resident: how is it lost?
Raffila Millgrove: i don't know. i never took any loss like this. i know how to recover stuff that's not really "lost".. i did all that before contacting LL
Raffila Millgrove: the whole folder.. went with hundreds of items in it.
Raffila Millgrove: even the folder is gone which is really strange.
    Santoshima Resident: how?
Lucinda Lavender: sorry...thought I was about to crash
    Santoshima Resident: np
Raffila Millgrove: just gone. one day i went to file something i found somewhere else that belonged in the folder. and.. no folder.
Lucinda Lavender: was wondering what LL is?
    Raffila Millgrove: Linden Lab
Raffila Millgrove: the owners of SL.
    Lucinda Lavender: ah thought so..
Santoshima Resident: where did the folder go?
Santoshima Resident: and how is it that it dissappeared?
Lucinda Lavender: thanks for spelling dissappeared:)
Raffila Millgrove: i don't know. when i switch to Viewer 3. i start crashing all the time. maybe in one of those crashes.. the inv items. they are all stored on the LL server, not in your own application.
    Santoshima Resident: lucky strike
Raffila Millgrove: anway. forget it. i just mention because i think the dream was connected to this draining of energy over the loss.
Santoshima Resident: oh, viewer 3 ... so appociated with a change in viewer?
Santoshima Resident: i can't spelll, see?
Lucinda Lavender: ah...I think I remember havng been advised to not have many viewers
Raffila Millgrove: no. i removed old one.. before installing new one. dont' worry about these technical stuff. not important.
    Santoshima Resident: avoid 3, raffila?
Lucinda Lavender: I dropped the Phoenix and did all the updates of v2 and have been fine since
Raffila Millgrove: no. i can't say it was 3.. at all. don't know how it happen.
Santoshima Resident: so sorry that happened ... it must have been very upsetting

    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: let us use the next pause...to
Raffila Millgrove: was part of string of sad events. Had to take down my medical center after four years with same sim--that accounts for why All my stuff was in inv.. it's never been all there. usually it's out.. in the medical clinic.
Lucinda Lavender: hmmm an interesting idea to have a medical clinic in 2L
    Santoshima Resident: rp clinic?
    Raffila Millgrove: yes. and educational.
    Santoshima Resident: for what ails
    Lucinda Lavender: Luci is imaginging...
    Lucinda Lavender: imagining
Santoshima Resident: luci, may i say? your aviatar has ... matured, and looks very lovely
    Lucinda Lavender: and practicing spelling
    Raffila Millgrove: lovely skin Luci.
Lucinda Lavender: thanks San...I tried to move toward real life
Raffila Millgrove is all stripped won to nothing.. because i am trying to get into .. the mesh fair. It's a lag monster there.
Santoshima Resident: you look lovely, too, Raffila!
Raffila Millgrove: hehe., wow i look nuts cause i have system only on.. lowest possible avatar render to beat the lag..
Raffila Millgrove: in the mesh fair.
Lucinda Lavender: I do not know about mesh:)
    Santoshima Resident: nor do i
Raffila Millgrove: really> wow that is a long topic.
Raffila Millgrove shoots herself for bringing up too technical stuff. lol twice!
Santoshima Resident: suspected that ... so, not sure i want to know
Raffila Millgrove: yeah.. well.. i am not the guy for the good technical talk. i don't explain it well. you're better to just look it up in SL website.
Lucinda Lavender: it is all ok...I think that I sort of can guess...your dream ...anything more to say about that?
Raffila Millgrove: but it's BIG. a big deal for creators in SL. to master it. It's akin to when sculpties came in.
Raffila Millgrove: you guys here when scultpies arrived?
    Lucinda Lavender: not I
    Santoshima Resident: nope
Lucinda Lavender: I am curious to explore the dream a bit if you want
Raffila Millgrove: let me put this way--if you want to make mesh clothes or mesh furniture-you have to make the object outside SL in a 3D application.. and then import it in here. so you need real skill in the 3D program you use to create it.
Raffila Millgrove: right now.. the good tech people can do it.. but we have to wait awhile until designers and artists master the tehcniques.. to see how good it will finally look.
Santoshima Resident: skill ... always a blessing
    Santoshima Resident: what programs?
Raffila Millgrove: well those with the tech skill to master a program.. are not the same people who are aritsts. when sculpties came it took a year to see how good they would be.
Raffila Millgrove: Blender is one program they use.
Santoshima Resident: i'm interested .... any others you recommend to investigate?
Raffila Millgrove: that seems the one most people start out on.
Raffila Millgrove: but it'shard. it's like learning PHotoshop.
Santoshima Resident: i know photoshop pretty well.
Raffila Millgrove: the mesh will curve and it to avatar's body in ways that regular prims don't. like "mesh" will cover something. but you also have to.. put on alpha layer first.. turns your body into a blank.. see thru hole--then you add the clothes.
    Raffila Millgrove: that was fit.
    Santoshima Resident: ok
Lucinda Lavender: the object that did the draining had a name...iscar...which first reminded me of "nascar",,,then "is scar" ...
Raffila Millgrove: like you know how silly those prims look in a skirt.. all the little flaps waving? this gets rid of that.. the skirt looks very realist now--folds and drapes.
    Lucinda Lavender: or is scared
    Santoshima Resident: very good
Raffila Millgrove: is scared. yes that is very good!
Lucinda Lavender: the little Buddhas...made me think of here in PaB
Raffila Millgrove: me too. i really did't like that feature.
    Lucinda Lavender: can understand
Raffila Millgrove: that made me think.. am i wasting my time here. coming to these meets. that did not set well. at all.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes...

    --BELL--

Raffila Millgrove: cause the time i would use to work.. as i used to all these years.. well i use it now to come over here instead.
Lucinda Lavender: perhaps this place with the little Buddhas is part of a healing process...the scar. the wound knits it self together and then in a lovely community
Raffila Millgrove: very nice thought Luci. thank you.
Lucinda Lavender: there is something else to focus on
    Lucinda Lavender: being, playing...
Raffila Millgrove: you know it is hard for a new person to come here, cause everyone knows/has so many shared experiences.. with each other. even tho very friendly and nice.. it's not easy.
Santoshima Resident: i have been coming here for a while ... since summer ...
Santoshima Resident: there are few people whom i can say that I "know"
Santoshima Resident: but it has helped me to know myself a little better
Santoshima Resident: in a social context
Santoshima Resident: and i do not understand ... oftern ... things said
    Santoshima Resident: nuances
    Raffila Millgrove nods.
Santoshima Resident: inside jokes and comments
    Raffila Millgrove: yes.
Santoshima Resident: but i can watch my response
    Santoshima Resident: to that
Lucinda Lavender: I think that reading text does not always show...how something is said too
Santoshima Resident: it's .... educational ... as you said earlier, raffila
Santoshima Resident: yes, i agree, luci
Raffila Millgrove: you know boxy? he hasn't been around maybe a week. i miss him. he has an air of lightness. i like to see him.
Santoshima Resident: you could write him an IM?
Raffila Millgrove: i wonder where he is and when he will bring back the ribbon.
Raffila Millgrove: i like that ribbon.
Lucinda Lavender: ah... I wonder too
Santoshima Resident: haven't seen it yet, only read about when using text "viewer"
Santoshima Resident: what is it exactly?
Raffila Millgrove: oh this ribbon is so amazing.
Raffila Millgrove: it is a thin strip of pink.. and it encircle this space..
    Raffila Millgrove: right behind us.
Raffila Millgrove: and you can ride on it. it will tell you.. many things.
Raffila Millgrove: the weather.. of any city i the world.
Raffila Millgrove: and.. also it will random search. for Keyword.. and bring up quote from the logs on the internet webiste of PAB
    Santoshima Resident: clever boxy
    Lucinda Lavender: very
Raffila Millgrove: it has this search engine. function.
Raffila Millgrove: and when boxy works it.. it's like magic.
Raffila Millgrove: it breaks time. it brings back people and thoughts.
Lucinda Lavender: I never explored that part
    Lucinda Lavender: how interesting
Raffila Millgrove: that is it's key value i think.. this time factor--to make is change.. to make two times at once. now and then.
Raffila Millgrove: and also to link.. ideas.
    Lucinda Lavender: inspired creativity
Raffila Millgrove: exactly! yes. so inspired.
    Raffila Millgrove: enriching.
Santoshima Resident: what is the sign over there .... "your quote here" ?
Lucinda Lavender: has to do with the upcoming birthday of PaB
Lucinda Lavender: we are to find a favorite quote
    Lucinda Lavender: I think
Raffila Millgrove: these gates. are going to have quotes.. on the waving banners.
    Lucinda Lavender: April 1
Raffila Millgrove: like they put up a few.. already. like one from Pema there.
Raffila Millgrove: yes part of the 4th anniversary celebrations.
Santoshima Resident: oh ! good, i though that -- by all the balloons -- that i'd missed it
Raffila Millgrove: no. they started with this happiness exhibit in the dome.
Raffila Millgrove: and had a party for it on Sunday.
Raffila Millgrove: and now they have other stuff.. they are mulling over.. what else.. like the gates.
    Santoshima Resident: what gates?
Raffila Millgrove: well there is a gate. to my left. see it? wood frame with a banner with words on it.
Raffila Millgrove: they are calling those things.. gates.
    Santoshima Resident: a moment
    Raffila Millgrove: HERE
    Santoshima Resident: oh yes
Raffila Millgrove: yes. that seem to be part of the bday celeb plans.
    Santoshima Resident: text only?
Raffila Millgrove: they meet in guardian meets and emails. It's all in the log online.. how they are pulling plans.. together.
    Santoshima Resident: right
Raffila Millgrove: like should they include friends of PAB in the .. planing.
Raffila Millgrove: or should that be.. plans by Guardian only.
Raffila Millgrove: who should participate. they are thinking on it.. now i guess.
Lucinda Lavender: I have enjoyed our time together...but should get ready for the day...
Santoshima Resident: good to see you, luci
Raffila Millgrove: they often talk right thru each other. it's itneresting to read it.. they don't always "listen" to one another too well. i find that intersting.
Raffila Millgrove: Bye Luci. Thank you for guarding us.
Lucinda Lavender: I must get ready for the day, have enjoyed this time tech and all:)
Santoshima Resident: same here, and a good observation, raffila
Lucinda Lavender: hmmm about to crash again...
Raffila Millgrove: yes look up Mesh.. you will find that intersting.
Raffila Millgrove: hugs to you both. xo
    Santoshima Resident: bye for now

    --BELL--
