    Mass transit news.

Yakuzza Lethecus: hey, good morning storm
    Storm Nordwind: Good morning!
Yakuzza Lethecus: anything new to the pablic transportation system ?
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey riddle
    Riddle Sideways: Hey
Storm Nordwind: Yes. There are signals, station announcements, and a further improvement later today
Storm Nordwind: Good morning Riddle my friend!
Riddle Sideways: what a way to run a railroad
Riddle Sideways: big job building a railroad
Storm Nordwind: It's fun. I can see why grown men spend inordinate amounts of time with model rail - and they don't even get to ride on it!
Riddle Sideways: did you have toy train sets as a young kid?
    Riddle Sideways: Hi Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: hiya
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey bleu
Storm Nordwind: In a very small way. We all did in the late 50s.

    Switching to mesh.

Storm Nordwind: Meanwhile, I've joined the mesh world - with some limitations but now at least things don't look quite so insane!
    Bleu Oleander: yay!
    Riddle Sideways: :)
Riddle Sideways: "quite so insane" is in the eye of the beholder
Bleu Oleander: well, when it somes to boots ..... :)
Storm Nordwind: Yes indeed. Amusing. Frustrating. All subjective. Another slant on What Is

    Distracted puppies.

Riddle Sideways is wondering what boxy is doing
Bleu Oleander: left him at the Dome station
    Bleu Oleander: afk
    Riddle Sideways: ah
Storm Nordwind: He has fallen in love with that station in particular?!
Bleu Oleander: can't count on puppies once they get distracted
    Storm Nordwind laughs
    --BELL--

    Future Art as Being.

Storm Nordwind: Any more thoughts yet, Bleu, on future Art as Being exhibitions?
    Bleu Oleander: hmmm
    Bleu Oleander: nothing crystaling yet
    Bleu Oleander: you?
Bleu Oleander: I do like the theme "wisdom" somehow
Storm Nordwind puts ideas generator into drive
Bleu Oleander: isn't your generator always in drive?
    Bleu Oleander: hehe
Storm Nordwind: Sometimes I coast, lest I burnout
Bleu Oleander: your coast is others drive
    Storm Nordwind smiles

    What is wisdom?

Storm Nordwind: Interesting question - even before it relates to Art or Being... what is wisdom?
Riddle Sideways: wisdom? would have to not do that project
    Bleu Oleander: exactly
Bleu Oleander: all levels of wisdom accepted :)
Storm Nordwind: Modesty forbids, Riddle? :)
Storm Nordwind: In some spiritual traditions, it features prominently...
Storm Nordwind: In some Christian mystical traditions, there is the idea of love-wisdom...
Bleu Oleander: in some lives it features prominently
Yakuzza Lethecus: i consider a lot of ppl here very wise of course also riddle but like him excluding myself, hoping to see glimpses
Bleu Oleander: in some not so prominently :)
Storm Nordwind: In some Buddhist traditions, it is shown as equally important as compassion
    Bleu Oleander: yes

    Seeking and recognizing wisdom.

Bleu Oleander: how does one acquire wisdom?
Bleu Oleander: where does one look for wisdom?
Bleu Oleander: how do you know it when you see it?
Storm Nordwind: though - personal opinion - I think wisdom and compassion emerge together, not one derivative on the other
    Bleu Oleander: yes
    Bleu Oleander: is wisdom subjective?
Storm Nordwind: Bleu, one could take an objective and pragmatic approach and look at survival. Wisdom could be a quality that helps an individual or a group endure.
    Bleu Oleander: yes
Bleu Oleander: would that be a kind of basic wisdom?
Storm Nordwind: A relativist point of view of course, like good vs evil.
    Bleu Oleander: oops brb :)
Bleu Oleander: hold that thought :)
Storm Nordwind relays the wisdom of the red ribbon: red ribbon: wisdom 1. (n) accumulated knowledge or erudition or enlightenment 2. (n) the trait of utilizing knowledge and experience with common sense and insight 3. (n) ability to apply knowledge or experience or understanding or common sense and insight 4. (n) the quality of being prudent and sensible 5. (n) an Apocryphal book consisting mainly of a meditation on wisdom; although ascribed to Solomon it was probably written in the first century BC
    --BELL--

    Wealth and wisdom.

Storm Nordwind wonders about the question, "If you're so wise, how come you're so poor?" ;->
    Bleu Oleander: sorry back
    Riddle Sideways: o hi oO
    Riddle Sideways: wb
    Storm Nordwind waves to Sam
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey sam
    Bleu Oleander: hi Sam
Riddle Sideways: how are wealth and wisdom suppose to be related?
Bleu Oleander: maybe knowing how to put money in it's place is a wisdom of sorts

    Cleverness and wisdom.

Storm Nordwind: In popular culture, wisdom is sometimes (mis)associated with cleverness.
Yakuzza Lethecus: maybe cleverness + extraordanary experience = wisdom ?
    Riddle Sideways: brb
oO0Oo Resident: *extraordinary esxperience* How would you define that Yaku?
Storm Nordwind: Not sure Yaku. I know many people who are very intelligent = able to take up knowledge better than most. And people who have more knowledge than most. But I would say wisdom is more knowing what knowledge to take up and how to use what knowledge you had.
Storm Nordwind: Perhaps in ancient days, when information and knowledge was scarce, wisdom was seen as the same as knowledge. So to be well informed made you seem wise. But today, when there is more information than any one person could absorb in a hundred lifetimes, we have the opportunity to see wisdom as something different.
Bleu Oleander: true especially today ... so much "wisdom" to choose from

    Sending out party notices.

Bleu Oleander: sent out a test email ... did you all get it? did it include a LM?
oO0Oo Resident: I saw a party sign attached in the group chat Bleu
Storm Nordwind: I got a notice. And also as email. The email said it had an attachment but did not
    Bleu Oleander: hmmm
oO0Oo Resident: I am not able to check email from here, so can't say on that front. Sorry.
Storm Nordwind: Maybe include the SLURL in the text
Bleu Oleander: ok i'll try that
Bleu Oleander: mine did have an attachment
    Storm Nordwind: In email?
oO0Oo Resident: I am always slurring my SLURLs
    Bleu Oleander: in sl
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: i'll send it again later with a SLURL ... thanks
    oO0Oo Resident: Zen's T-shirt looks nice :)
Storm Nordwind: The notice in SL had an object with it. But that doesn't translate to an email.
    Alfred Kelberry: hi :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: hey box
    Storm Nordwind: Hi Boxy
Bleu Oleander: ah ok thanks Storm
    Bleu Oleander: hey boxy!
Alfred Kelberry: oh, wait. forgot to write an email...
Storm Nordwind: Can you put out a notice to Friends too, Bleu?
    Bleu Oleander: yes, I will
    Storm Nordwind: Thank you :)
    Bleu Oleander: yw!
Storm Nordwind: Boxy, we were talking about wisdom and what it might be. Could you tell us what counts as puppy wisdom? :)
    Alfred Kelberry: ok, done
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Riddle Sideways: back, hi boxy puppie

"wisdom as seeing the nature of things."

oO0Oo Resident: I think maybe there is a way of looking at wisdom as seeing the nature of things, and understanding harmonies possible within those realities. When one thinks of a wise king or leader for instance, there is a quality in which many people consider the person to be able to balance things in ways for the good of all.
Storm Nordwind: A wider perspective than most?
Storm Nordwind: And an ability to act on that perspective for the greater good?
oO0Oo Resident: Seems like wisdom is kind of organic, and seen by others.. agreed upon collectively. Wealth.. in relationship.. not sure. Wealth as like a bountiful harvest.? or a wealth of knowledge etc.. Different meanings.
Bleu Oleander: is there a kind of personal wisdom too?
oO0Oo Resident: I think so.. also yes.
oO0Oo Resident: not sure if it is in relation to anything else though ;)
Storm Nordwind: There is also the phrase "the conventional wisdom", which means the way something is seen (or done) by most people.
oO0Oo Resident: Something about seeing clearly
    oO0Oo Resident: and experience
Alfred Kelberry: ha, there's a distinction between bare knowledge and its application
oO0Oo Resident: and acting out of clarity
oO0Oo Resident: and passed down aspect too

    More on notices.

Storm Nordwind: Bleu, the Friends notice is better :) Don't know whether that goes to email though! :)
    --BELL--
Bleu Oleander: do I need to send email separately?
Storm Nordwind: The SL announcement is just for people who come in-world, and they may or may not get these relayed to RL by email. But they might not see it if they don't come in-world! So an email may be good as well. :)
    Bleu Oleander: ok thanks
oO0Oo Resident: Thanks for making these Bleu. Sending to some friends.
    Bleu Oleander: yw Sam thanks!
Riddle Sideways: poor boxy, cannot wear t-shirts, but can be wise
Bleu Oleander: boxy could put a texture on though
Bleu Oleander: I could make you one
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Storm Nordwind: Or he can wear an attachment
    Bleu Oleander: that too!
oO0Oo Resident: Maybe wisdom is associated with the wisest kinds of wealth ?
Riddle Sideways: well, need to go friends
    Yakuzza Lethecus: be well riddle
    Storm Nordwind: Bye Riddle !
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Riddle :)
    Bleu Oleander: bye Riddle :)
Riddle Sideways: maybe leave by metro
    Riddle Sideways: BART
    Storm Nordwind: NDR :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: - BART! -
    Alfred Kelberry: hi
Alfred Kelberry: i'm a bit distracted
Bleu Oleander: how unusual ... a distracted puppy :)

    Building tuition.

Alfred Kelberry: also, i need your building consultation, storm
Yakuzza Lethecus: saw storm and you were also wring mails in the mailinglist during the session :)
Storm Nordwind: Oh! Sure Boxy :)
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, indeed
Storm Nordwind: Love the doggy dance
    Bleu Oleander: cute puppy dance!
oO0Oo Resident: wise enough to know when distracted
Alfred Kelberry: well, i want to make a composite ribbon
Alfred Kelberry: i suppose there must be a rezzer that can do that
    Alfred Kelberry: lots of arcs
Storm Nordwind: Composite of what and what?
    Storm Nordwind: Oh I see
    Storm Nordwind: For seats?
    Alfred Kelberry: yes
    --BELL--
Alfred Kelberry: i'd like it to stay the same, but have segments for discrete seats
Storm Nordwind: That's easy. You can either attach a number of invisible seats, or you can make just a multiple version of this in many arcs.
Alfred Kelberry: yes, but it's daunting doing by hand
Storm Nordwind: The latter is very quick. Just decide how many arcs you want
    Alfred Kelberry: oh, how?
    Alfred Kelberry: let's say 24
Storm Nordwind: Use the path cut to define the arc. Then drag copy from the master and ctrl-z to recenter it. Then rotate the copy. And repeat. Then link them all. You may need a central point to link to - not sure.
Alfred Kelberry: covers all the cushions here :)
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
    Storm Nordwind will demonstrate
    Alfred Kelberry: neat, thank you
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: cool
    oO0Oo Resident: *neat*
    Bleu Oleander: very cool
Storm Nordwind: Works fastest with binary multiples
Bleu Oleander wonders what a binary multiple is
    Storm Nordwind: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32
    oO0Oo Resident: 64, 128, 256, 512
    oO0Oo Resident: ;)
    Bleu Oleander: ok thanks
Storm Nordwind: Those are easiest because you can snap the rotation to the compass grid
    Bleu Oleander: ah ok
Storm Nordwind: Always do one 180 degrees from the first. link them and them duplicate
Storm Nordwind: That way they'll rotate evenly
Storm Nordwind: And it'll be done in half the time!
Alfred Kelberry: ащкпще рщц ещ сщзн
    Alfred Kelberry: er
Alfred Kelberry: how do i copy?
Storm Nordwind: Get the crosswire. Click and hold on one arrow. Hold shift key down. Drag arrow. Release.
Alfred Kelberry: i remember it was easy
Storm Nordwind: If you want them an exact multiple apart, switch from World to Local edit first
    Bleu Oleander: always forget "local"
Storm Nordwind: Local is very useful too when you have rotated something and you want to work on it relative to itself, not to the rest of the world - the crosswire angles change
Alfred Kelberry: wait, ctrl-z is undo
    Bleu Oleander: hiya Eliza
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Eliza :) Topic is Wisdom, and a bit of how to build wisely too. :)
Storm Nordwind: Yes. But it undoes the change in poisition, not the copy
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Everyone :)) Beautiful invitations Bleu
    Bleu Oleander: ty!
Storm Nordwind: So it then overlays the copy exactly on the original
Alfred Kelberry: so, how do i center it?
Bleu Oleander: Eliza looks very partyish
    --BELL--
Storm Nordwind: Which means you can then rotate it with a common center with the other prims
    Alfred Kelberry: ah
Eliza Madrigal: wisdom eh? nice ... :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: is it also a painting that ur wearing which is so colorful eliza ?
    Bleu Oleander: building wisdom atm
Eliza Madrigal: oh... no just a thoughtful texture I think...
Alfred Kelberry: is there ctrl-a? :)
Eliza Madrigal: :) magical building blocks
    Storm Nordwind: Shift click
Storm Nordwind: Not ctrl-a but close enougvh
Alfred Kelberry: yes, each one apparenty
    Storm Nordwind: yes
Alfred Kelberry: well? how does it look?
    Bleu Oleander: cool
Eliza Madrigal: that's great... what are you making?
Storm Nordwind: The path cut could have been more exact. ;)
Alfred Kelberry: seats for the ribbon :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: you take very good care of the ribbon, Boxy
Alfred Kelberry: well... let's leave a bit of imperfection in it :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Eliza Madrigal: wabi sabi building wisdom
Bleu Oleander: that's what I always say to my puppies
Alfred Kelberry: oh, i'd also like to use your pinkish flowers template from the dome, storm
Alfred Kelberry: blue, i thought you had one adult dog that barks a lot :)
    Bleu Oleander: have 2
Bleu Oleander: one adult and one puppy
Eliza Madrigal: adult will teach puppy to bark at right times.. whenever SL voice is on
    Bleu Oleander: exactly
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Bleu Oleander: doing very well
    Bleu Oleander: hehe
Alfred Kelberry: storm, it's 32 prims
    Alfred Kelberry: kind of heavy
    Storm Nordwind: yes
    Alfred Kelberry: hmm
Storm Nordwind: Oen separate sit target per prim
Storm Nordwind: 16 might be enough
Alfred Kelberry: let's see it in full size
    Alfred Kelberry: gah
    Alfred Kelberry: tiny seat

    Poems out loud.

Yakuzza Lethecus: you still should try to share ur poems´s in voice eliza :)
    Alfred Kelberry: true, yaku
    Alfred Kelberry: please, eliza
    oO0Oo Resident: :) yes
Eliza Madrigal: :) I never said I'd share *my* poems... haha... but maybe I will read something in voice soon... or not...haha
Eliza Madrigal: thank you Yaku :)
Yakuzza Lethecus: haha, sry for putting you on the spot :P
Eliza Madrigal: I meant to come to voice session a few weeks ago but have had dental issues :))
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Bleu Oleander: maybe tomorrow?

    More buliding...

Alfred Kelberry: storm, can you share your pinkish flower template? :)
Alfred Kelberry: it goes around the circle in the dome
    Storm Nordwind: Eh?
Eliza Madrigal: maybe... guess it is nice to be getting over some shyness... if I am...
    Storm Nordwind: Oh sure
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: beautiful ornament
Storm Nordwind: Just the texture on floor
    Storm Nordwind: ?
Yakuzza Lethecus: i got to go, hope to see you tomorrow eliza, and everyone else :)
    Yakuzza Lethecus: bfn
Alfred Kelberry: eliza, this is what pab has been for me: drop expectations :)
Eliza Madrigal: bye Yaku :) see you soon
    Eliza Madrigal: :) Boxy
    Alfred Kelberry: yes, storm
    --BELL--
Alfred Kelberry: eliza, it's not easy, but worth trying :)
Bleu Oleander: going to check on Sun's party prep
Eliza Madrigal waves to Bleu :)
    Bleu Oleander: bye for now
Alfred Kelberry: blue :) big boss doing round :)
Eliza Madrigal: say hello to Sun please
    Bleu Oleander: haha!
    Alfred Kelberry: rounds
    Alfred Kelberry: ;)
Bleu Oleander: Sun is here setting up fireworks and dance floor :)
    oO0Oo Resident: :) Bye Yaku, Bleu :)
Alfred Kelberry: ok, how do i face sitters to the circle?
Alfred Kelberry: ah, i know that
Storm Nordwind: You do it with a script in each one, setting the sit target angle
Alfred Kelberry: did that with the pillar of worship
Storm Nordwind: Would have been easier to do it in one first before replicating it! ;)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Druth :)
    druth Vlodovic: hey
Alfred Kelberry: yes, which is a terrible duplication
Alfred Kelberry: wish it could use one module
Eliza Madrigal: *quite* the ornamental appearance... wonderful
    Alfred Kelberry: druth :)
oO0Oo Resident: Hi Druth :) [Wisdom, PaB Anniversary, and seating for the red ribbon ;)]
Storm Nordwind: the sit target becomes a property of the prim. Once you set it it with the script, you can remove the script! :)
    oO0Oo Resident: Hi Sun !
Eliza Madrigal: Hi Sun :) Hope you didn't miss Bleu, whowas just going to visit you....
    oO0Oo Resident: Builder's rejoice
Eliza Madrigal: haha too late now
Eliza Madrigal: hard for the sun to blend in
    Eliza Madrigal: ♥ ♥ ♥
    Alfred Kelberry: sun! :)
oO0Oo Resident: Just in time for a build in :)
Eliza Madrigal: yes... doing well... you?
Eliza Madrigal: impromptu seat for ribbon workshop
oO0Oo Resident: Storm and Boxy in cooperative creativity :)
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: beautiful dress
    oO0Oo Resident: Zulu leaf
Eliza Madrigal: Nice :) we'll easily know which is Sun
    Sunshine Vayandar: ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: I wish I blended in more lol
    Eliza Madrigal: nah... :))
Sunshine Vayandar: ok I am off to see BleuJi
Sunshine Vayandar: IM me anytime ;)
Sunshine Vayandar: I have some fireworks to set up

    Sunshine Vayandar: ;o)
Sunshine Vayandar: come there to the tree if you have time
    Eliza Madrigal: k

    Eliza Madrigal laughs

Eliza Madrigal: brb... think I overfilled the washing machine...
oO0Oo Resident: Bye Druth.. Sun :)
oO0Oo Resident: Boxy looks pretty focused
    Alfred Kelberry: :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
    Eliza Madrigal: laser like concentration
oO0Oo Resident: Thought of you Boxy watching TED talk by DARPA employee
oO0Oo Resident: .. see if I can find the link...
    Alfred Kelberry: ha
oO0Oo Resident: Regina Dugan on a robotic hummingbird, mach-20 flight and more jaw-dropping projects from DARPA: t.co/W4MiZtKz
    --BELL--
Eliza Madrigal: ty :) Looking forward to seeing what happens.. wandering to tree...
    oO0Oo Resident waves to Eliza
    Eliza Madrigal: bfn :) waves
Eliza Madrigal: oh... can ride... hah...
    Storm Nordwind: yes!
Eliza Madrigal: don't have to get all wet taking the short cut through the lake anymore
    oO0Oo Resident: :)
    Alfred Kelberry: um
Storm Nordwind: Boxy, sit targets take a lot of tinkering with!
    Alfred Kelberry: yea
    Alfred Kelberry: ...
Alfred Kelberry: eh, won't be pretty
    Storm Nordwind: It never is.
Alfred Kelberry: additional circle would be better
Storm Nordwind: You could detect the height of the avatar and change the sitting position as a result. I did that for Raffi recently with her weighing scales
Storm Nordwind is going to make an adjustment to the train. Please excuse me!
    Storm Nordwind: Bye!
    Alfred Kelberry: bye, thanks!
