Raffila Millgrove: hi Luci. What a pretty dress.
    --BELL--

Lucinda Lavender: thanks Raffila...combination of two outfits
Lucinda Lavender: may not be able to stay long...but thought I would see if there is someone taking the session...
Raffila Millgrove: i don't know how to do that.. so i cannot offer.
    Lucinda Lavender: ok I will:)
Raffila Millgrove: i wish i could make clothes--but i love to combine different pieces of outfits.. mod or tint.. retexture etc... it's almost as good.
Raffila Millgrove: today i went.. to this weekly... meeting of my friends--where we have "confessions".. writings from the group.... and we got a terrible shock. one of our most beloved had died. i am still kind of a wreck on it.
Lucinda Lavender: Luci has just claimed the session by right clicking on the recorder in the center of the pool:)
Lucinda Lavender: oh! I am so sorry!
Lucinda Lavender: know this person long?
Lucinda Lavender: closely it sounds like
Raffila Millgrove: she had cancer. and i am a surivor with medical background.. so we'd talked in depth on it for a year! and her latest news was that her treatment had been completed. she was clear of it and on road to recovery. couple weeks later.. we get this news. i am floored.
Lucinda Lavender: oh my ...so sorry
Raffila Millgrove: the news came direct from her rl family.. so there's no... doubt on the fact that she is really gone. but i just cannot believe she would lie for so long to me.. with so many details.
Raffila Millgrove: i just don't think she did that.
    Lucinda Lavender: ah...adjustments
    Lucinda Lavender: really hard!
Raffila Millgrove: bad enough she'd gone.. but the mystery of.. hwo did it happen. it's very hard to sit and wiat until her partner here.. til i can talk to her one it.. without it being so fresh.
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Lucinda Lavender: so we can have a silent pause in honor if your friend
Raffila Millgrove: oh we did that already. we had a very.. meaningful "goodbye" for her.. instead of our usual meet.
Raffila Millgrove: we got closure in that way.. done very .. much as she would have liked it.
Raffila Millgrove: but everyone was so shocked out of wits.. no one could really hardly talk.. people were apologizing for breaking down in voice etc. pretty horrific. the shock factor.
    Lucinda Lavender: yes shock
    Raffila Millgrove: i didn't say a word. i just couldn't.
Raffila Millgrove: but my friends and i talked in IM>
Raffila Millgrove: we play this game called mingle..it's a kind of getting to know you game.. where we answer questions.
Lucinda Lavender: good to have friends..to reflect with
Lucinda Lavender: It was important for me when we lost our conductor in a car accident
Raffila Millgrove: one day.. my friend who passed Rubi.. she answered one of the questions--Who would you most like to meet in real life. and she said "me". I was so touched and happy when she said why. now i never get to do it--but I will always remember how much it meant to me.. that she wanted to...
Raffila Millgrove: young woman, very strong. probably the sweetest person i ever met her. just devastated to lose her.
Lucinda Lavender: lbonds and openings are created here...
    Lucinda Lavender: yes
    Lucinda Lavender: devastated
Raffila Millgrove: reminds you how tenous we are.. how we could be gone any second. reminds .. to remember to say everything.. not to ... think you'll have that chance to say goodbye.
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Raffila Millgrove: I never got a chance to tell her how i loved her. i thought.. she was going to be ok.
Lucinda Lavender: well it is my feeling that you can still tell her
Raffila Millgrove: i dunno. i always know when they are going. this is the first time in my whole life.. where i didn't know.
    Lucinda Lavender: ah
Lucinda Lavender: I did not know when my conductor was going either
Raffila Millgrove: i realized when my first friend went from cancer.. when i was 23.. i knew she was going.. and i have always been able to know.. even on total strangers.
    Lucinda Lavender: intuition?
Raffila Millgrove: this is first person who ever went like this.. that i ddidn't know.. but maybe it's because i couldn't see her.
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Raffila Millgrove: no it's not intuition. we dont' have a word.. for.. these senses.... Dr David Viscott.. he was writing a book on it.. before he too.. went sudden.. and.. he was using word intuition for lack of any other.
    Lucinda Lavender: word intuition? hmminteresting
    --BELL--

Raffila Millgrove: well he was using that word.. since we have these senses.. that no.. actual medical/scientific terms have yet been invented.. to label the senses.
Raffila Millgrove: it's hard to talk about things that you have no "noun" to identify "what it is" you are describing.
Lucinda Lavender: our senses pick up little incremental things...little noticings
Raffila Millgrove: "esp" has been pretty well wrecked.. with bad connotations to it.
Raffila Millgrove: yes they do. they recently prove that when two people are near each other.. little bits of energy.. leave the body.. pass thru the skin.. communicate.. and then send the messages back to brain. i just read a study on it.
    Lucinda Lavender: nodding
Raffila Millgrove: actuall bits of matter ... tiny of course. giving the layman explanation.
Raffila Millgrove: good at layman talk, terrible with technical terms.
Lucinda Lavender: I have had the experience of information showing up in dreams that pertains to the next 24 hours
Raffila Millgrove: your conductor.. was it a younger man?
Lucinda Lavender: not... tiny bit older than me
    Lucinda Lavender: but a friend
    Raffila Millgrove nods.
Lucinda Lavender: and someone very inspirational
Raffila Millgrove: yes. hard to lose people who feel so unique.. that you know.. no one can fill that space.
Lucinda Lavender: fowllowing the gestures etc coming together to procduce music
Raffila Millgrove: i think conductors almost like magicians.. love to watch them.
Lucinda Lavender: Hi Steve...we are speaking of the shock of loss
    stevenaia Michinaga: nods
Lucinda Lavender: yes! with a wand
Raffila Millgrove: friend in sl .. died today.. we just got word. came as tremendous shock.
    stevenaia Michinaga: oh my
stevenaia Michinaga: did anyone know them in RL
Raffila Millgrove: confirmed with rl family. yes.
Raffila Millgrove: anway.. Luci and i .. we took care of that topic.. pretty .. much. So what's new by you Steve?
Lucinda Lavender: Steve...I claimed this session...but now I want to go do something...It requires going offline... so carry on
Lucinda Lavender: I am happy to post later:)
stevenaia Michinaga: was just taking dinner to my mom earlier, then stopped off at a local Syriam place for dessert and coffee
    Lucinda Lavender: nice:)
stevenaia Michinaga: it will come to you Luci
Raffila Millgrove: bye LUci.. ty for comforting/listen to me.
    Lucinda Lavender: :)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Syrian
Lucinda Lavender: so glad I was here...
stevenaia Michinaga: bye Luci, thank for taking the log
    Lucinda Lavender: thanks for sharing...
    Lucinda Lavender: ok...bye for now...
    Raffila Millgrove: bye xo
    Lucinda Lavender: xox
Raffila Millgrove: here comes Samuo (o)
    stevenaia Michinaga: Hi Sam
oO0Oo Resident: Bye luci :) Hi Stev, Raffi :)
Lucinda Lavender: Hi sam...must go for now...but will post this latrer:)
Lucinda Lavender: have to go to get Tin tin...
Raffila Millgrove: Sam, Steve was just saying that he had some coffe and Syrian dessert.. What kind of dessert did you have?
oO0Oo Resident: kk :) Glad to see you in passing :)
    Lucinda Lavender: :))
stevenaia Michinaga: the cook is a wonderful dessert chef, I had Rasberry buttercream, spouse had lemon Merange
stevenaia Michinaga: and the coffeee is fabulous
    Raffila Millgrove: ooh tasty
stevenaia Michinaga: other than that it was a relaxing day of laundry and the 1:00 PaB session
Raffila Millgrove: oh.. you know i am out of the loop on that 99days thing.. so i look forward to seeing log.. to see what others said on it... did they decided to go a 3rd round?
stevenaia Michinaga: about the 99 day... practice that Wol thought of
Raffila Millgrove: they went twice, right?
stevenaia Michinaga: yes and will start again on the 11th I thinl
Raffila Millgrove: did you do it? what did you all do?
stevenaia Michinaga: I did not participate as much the second 99 days
    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: everyone did something of their own choosing and blogged about it daily on the wiki, you can read the comment http://wiki.playasbeing.org/Classes_and_Sessions/The_99_Days_project
Raffila Millgrove: mm. seem like the first part i read.. everyone was "sitting".
stevenaia Michinaga: some drew, some did Hi Koo, some meditatated
Raffila Millgrove: could you chose something else..
stevenaia Michinaga: I never sat :)
Raffila Millgrove: ha. great. cause i need some motivation to do this Qiqoung (sp?) I am taking a little online class in "how-to".
stevenaia Michinaga: no rules except to use it to make somethign you want to do a habit for yourself
Raffila Millgrove: yes. i want to do it every day.
stevenaia Michinaga: I did Tai CHi Daily because I wanted too
stevenaia Michinaga: it;s a simple as that
Raffila Millgrove: to make a habit. yes this is like tai chi.. but slightly.. different. same idea.. get the energy flowing in whole body.. and.. also longtime.. used as a healing..
stevenaia Michinaga: not I do it almost every day
stevenaia Michinaga: I am familiar with Qi Gong
    Raffila Millgrove: ah you know.
Raffila Millgrove: then.. could you explain to me.. what do you think is the difference between the two practices?
stevenaia Michinaga: and do standing meditation
stevenaia Michinaga: my teacher explained it more as a continuem from Qi Gong, standing, Tai Chi moving and Kung Fu, the most martial aspect
Raffila Millgrove: ah.. ok.. that makes sense. this teacher too.. says same thing behind all 3.
Raffila Millgrove: that the "mindset" matters very much.. have to have the Mind going.. as well as form and breathing.
stevenaia Michinaga: each part of the same, creating Qi flow within out out of the body
stevenaia Michinaga: you can do them without the mind mastering the moves
Raffila Millgrove: i picked this guy. because he has very short videos that show you Exactly how.. and point out.. how easy.. and they look Really easy. i have to keep things simple.
stevenaia Michinaga: some of the moves are quite complex, I view it as a higher level of rubbing your belly and patting your head
Raffila Millgrove: well i gotta do max simple. minute i get too complicated esp with breathing.. which i just hate.. well.. let's say this. I actually failed Lamaze over the breathing. i got into panic attacks instead of benefiting from it.
stevenaia Michinaga: my teacher does not belive n videos and required learning via teacher student communication and correction
Raffila Millgrove: well this guy on the video. he's in his backyard on grass and his dog is walking around the backyard, sniffing slowing.. there's something very comforting about how Easy he makes it.
stevenaia Michinaga: easing into learning, no stress, jsut improvment, hard to do that w/ a video
Raffila Millgrove: well that's the thing. just looking at the video.. i feel really calm and like. hey i could do that too!
stevenaia Michinaga: every week you learn a little more
Raffila Millgrove: very short. five minutes only.. one little bit at a time.
stevenaia Michinaga: took a year to learn what I now do in a few minutes
stevenaia Michinaga: yes 5 minutes to do, a lifetime to master
    stevenaia Michinaga: like life
Raffila Millgrove: yes i could see this.. but what i like on the guy.. is his attitude. so fresh and calm.. like we'll just go tiny bit at a time.. and it's easy that way...
    stevenaia Michinaga: yes
Raffila Millgrove: very humble guy. i have to have humble.
Raffila Millgrove: can't do these guys whoa re full of themselves. it takes the air out of room.
stevenaia Michinaga: makes for a good teacher
Raffila Millgrove: strange but now i am old. i know what i want in a teacher. calm, believe in you, take little bitty step at time. build slow.
Raffila Millgrove: when i was young. i would be interested in the jumpy, quirky ones.. the lively types.. but in my 20's i had a professor.. whow as Chinese.. very calm. very step by step adn i look back and realize those teachers were the ones.. i really learned the stuff and remembered long after passing the tests.
stevenaia Michinaga: sometimes it takes weeks just to learn a new move, it teaches you patience with yourself
    --BELL--

Raffila Millgrove: this dog.. being so calm and happy nosing all over the grass.. he adds a lot to the videos.. he makes it seem quite normal, every day.. he's a great dog.
stevenaia Michinaga: are they on youtube?
Raffila Millgrove: no. he sends you the links to his blog when you sign up for his free class. he sends by email.
Raffila Millgrove: well i have things.. to do. better get off... looking to a great day tomrrow. parties from.. 11 here.. al the way thru to 8 pm real life! My daughter is having her hosuewarming and then a friend's birthday party. exciting day!
Raffila Millgrove: see you both on tommrow for the PaB anniversary!
    stevenaia Michinaga: bye Raff
    oO0Oo Resident: 12 define discursiveBye Raffi !
Raffila Millgrove: bye sam and stever.
stevenaia Michinaga: waves to Samúð, how are you doing?
oO0Oo Resident: have you added to the anniversatree Stevnaia?
stevenaia Michinaga: I was reading the leaves and found a quote of mine.... at that point I was at a loss where to being
    oO0Oo Resident: where to being?
stevenaia Michinaga: usually I wait until the moment is right, or isn't, I try not to obcess
oO0Oo Resident: so you did add something?
stevenaia Michinaga: have you placed a leaf or quote on a gate?
stevenaia Michinaga: no did not add
oO0Oo Resident: I submitted a quote for the gates.. yes.. and am working on a notecard to include in a leaf or flower.. hopefully to add in the next few hours.
oO0Oo Resident: have been contemplating what to say in a note..
oO0Oo Resident: whether to write spontaneously.. or formulate
oO0Oo Resident: or kind of both
stevenaia Michinaga: I love when things jsut "come to you"yes
stevenaia Michinaga: creativity can be very ... striking when it flows
oO0Oo Resident looks out onto all creation :)
    --BELL--

stevenaia Michinaga: I'll leave you to write your card, enjoy
    oO0Oo Resident: Bye Stev.. :)
