The Guardian for this meeting was Eliza Madrigal. The comments are by Eliza Madrigal, who chose the title based on a gap of communication that turned out to be quite eloquent actually. :)

(As it turns out, we are close to zero space computing:

    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, Eliza!
Catrinamonblue Resident: oh nice Eliza :) beautiful :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hello friends :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Beautiful, indeed!
Eliza Madrigal: thank you.... lovely dress you are wearing as well... and Bruce elegant in kilt
    Bruce Mowbray: ;-)
Eliza Madrigal: must be a special day
    Bruce Mowbray: Aye!

    --BELL--

Eliza Madrigal: can't quite get my fins into the fountain
Catrinamonblue Resident: :) wishing for warmer weather here so thought Cat could wear something summery for me :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bruce Mowbray: (Loves it when typists refer to their avis in third-person)
Eliza Madrigal: I'll rezz some sunshine for you
    Catrinamonblue Resident: smiles
    Bruce Mowbray: (and vice versa.)

    Catrinamonblue Resident: brb phone
    Bruce Mowbray: np.

Bruce Mowbray: Do you have a singing bowl, Eliza?
Bruce Mowbray: I can lend you one if you don't.
Eliza Madrigal: I have just the one I normally use.... the nicer one is in the retreat area
Eliza Madrigal: with the visible notes
Eliza Madrigal: but I thought today to just be normal
Bruce Mowbray: so, 90-sec drops, you mean?
    Eliza Madrigal: yes...if seems okay?
    Bruce Mowbray: wonderful.

    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, Bleu.
Eliza Madrigal: not finding my sun ~ hm
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Bleu :)
    Bleu Oleander: hi all :)
Eliza Madrigal: Thanks, Bruce! That is what I was looking for ^^
Eliza Madrigal: although... these are kind of all over the place like bouncy balls
    Bruce Mowbray: yw.
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zen :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, Zen.
    Zen Arado: Hi all
    Bleu Oleander: hiya Zen
Eliza Madrigal: the other night I took a friend to the molecule, and rezzed the sun over my head when it was all dark.... was a wonderful visual
    Bleu Oleander: sounds nice :)
Eliza Madrigal: one could easily imagine galaxies rezzed all about

Eliza Madrigal: Hello Daedalus, nice to see you again!
    Zen Arado: Hi Daedalus
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, Daedalus.
    Bleu Oleander: Hi Daedalus
    Daedalus687 Resident: Hi, long time
Eliza Madrigal: yes, I wonder if you've made any progress with your considerations about language
Eliza Madrigal: was enjoying a conversation you had with Cal and hm... perhaps Stevenaia
    Bruce Mowbray listens.
Daedalus687 Resident: Yea, calvino is quite adept himself
    Daedalus687 Resident: He challenges me

    Catrinamonblue Resident: back :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: reading
    Zen Arado: wb Cat
    Eliza Madrigal: welcome back Catrina
    Bleu Oleander: hiya Cat
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Aggers :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, aggers.
    Zen Arado: Hi Aggers
Eliza Madrigal: Daedelus, I think Bruce has read TSK as many times as you have... hehe

    play as language session_001.jpg

    Agatha Macbeth: G'day :)
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcoome, Fc!
    Bleu Oleander: hey Aggers :)
    Zen Arado: Hi Zon, Fc
    Bruce Mowbray: Welcome, Zon.
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Aggers :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Zon :)
Catrinamonblue Resident: ty Eliza for the sun :)
    Eliza Madrigal: Hi Fc
    Zon Kwan: heya
Eliza Madrigal: as it turns out, this is Bruce's sun :)
    Eliza Madrigal: with my intentions

Daedalus687 Resident: Non humanoids on this side...lol
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bleu Oleander: Hi Zon, Fc
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Agatha Macbeth looks for the sun
Catrinamonblue Resident: Hi Zon and FC :)
Eliza Madrigal: wow, what a full group today
Bruce Mowbray: I have plenty more suns if anyone wants one.
    FcSeeker Resident: awwwww....<3 <3 <3
Zen Arado: all of us non human
    Zen Arado: just avatars
    FcSeeker Resident: somebody set roses....
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    FcSeeker Resident: ***<3<3<3***
Eliza Madrigal: some are extra non human
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay FC
    FcSeeker Resident: Hello all <3<3<3
    Daedalus687 Resident: hi
    Agatha Macbeth: A hearty welcome

Eliza Madrigal: so we'll take normal sized pauses today... 90 seconds
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Zen Arado: just have emotions nothing physical :(
Eliza Madrigal: didn't sleep but an hour in the last 24, so I'd love to hear ideas for topics...
Eliza Madrigal: earlier was thinking "wu wei"
Agatha Macbeth: How about insomnia? :p
Bleu Oleander: or sharing ways to sleep better :P
Eliza Madrigal: :) if I think about it anymore I will be slumped over the fountain, but if interested in topic I will forget

    Agatha Macbeth: Zzzz

Daedalus687 Resident: I could speak for a moment or so, if it gets laborious....well then
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
Bruce Mowbray listens to one and all.
Eliza Madrigal: would like that if you would Daedelus, set us on a track
Zen Arado: worse things than laborious
Daedalus687 Resident: You asked me a moment ago about progressions in language.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Eliza Madrigal nods
Daedalus687 Resident: And I got to thinking about play as being and what it means
Daedalus687 Resident: and this space in particular, which I am grateful for the free interchange of ideas

Eliza Madrigal: wonderful way to begin... we'll pause with that, and hopefully after the bell you will say a bit more?
    Daedalus687 Resident: yea
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks!

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Daedalus687 Resident: I must say, the inherent limitations of script and speech...you can feel how much is left out
Daedalus687 Resident: and second life provides the oppurtunity to communicate in other ways, yet those limitations of second life also pose difficulties
    Daedalus687 Resident: Geometric communication?
Daedalus687 Resident: What senario would help the facillitation of another form of commune
Eliza Madrigal: geometry imparts a great deal and yet still leaves an unsurity about whether communication is shared
Eliza Madrigal: one's experience is still 'next to' another's
Daedalus687 Resident: I take that as a given I think
Bruce Mowbray ponders whether "sharing" of experience is even possible....
Bruce Mowbray: Perhaps sharing of similar responses....?
    Daedalus687 Resident: Offering perhaps?
Daedalus687 Resident: Opening a channel so to speak
Eliza Madrigal nods... often have heard Piet describe PaB as "sharing notes"
(thus music in the title, and reference to singing bowl earlier)

Zen Arado: we expect to understand the universe wit just 5 vowels and a few consonants and some math
    Eliza Madrigal: peer review :)
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Daedalus687 Resident: For me its difficult to stay grounded in what second life confines us to. I imagine a space where form building and deconstructing is simple and effortless.         (see, wu wei snuck in)
Daedalus687 Resident: Virtually sure, but fun I would think
    Daedalus687 Resident: Unconditioned space
    Daedalus687 Resident: Until interaction
Bruce Mowbray thinks: Fascinating! SL offers my typist a fuller experience of grounding, actually.
    Bruce Mowbray listens, again.
    Eliza Madrigal: go on, Bruce?
Bruce Mowbray: Well, if "grounding" means "connection" with feeling, then SL is often more "real" than RL, at least for my typist it seems to be.
Bruce Mowbray wants to hear more from the robot, though.
Bruce Mowbray: Sry - from Daedalus.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Bruce Mowbray: (and others, of course.)
Eliza Madrigal: good for everyone to share their experiences

Eliza Madrigal: I am probably fixated on manners, and somewhat concerned about what is happening to them in our time (though, suspect they are just changing not going away) - so I've heard some of the questions asked as being about how not to sort of kowtow to dualities
    Eliza Madrigal: questions*
    Eliza Madrigal: -when
Eliza Madrigal: (lol forgive bad typing today pls)
    Bruce Mowbray: np.
Bruce Mowbray: Let her without typos case the first stone.
    Bruce Mowbray: cast!
    Bruce Mowbray: you see!?
Eliza Madrigal: we always seem to have to resort to "you" and "me" and "inward" and "outward"
Eliza Madrigal: lol thank you Bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: ha ha!
    Zen Arado: heheh
Eliza Madrigal: earlier we even had sides of the circle @@
    Agatha Macbeth: Sounds good
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
Agatha Macbeth: How about we square the triangle next?
    Eliza Madrigal: great! you first
    Bruce Mowbray: :)

Daedalus687 Resident: I think to refer to dualities is ok though, since it allows the multiplicity of experience we come to know. As long as its seen as a duality.
Zen Arado wonders what we are talkng about
    FcSeeker Resident: I'll bb quickly
    Agatha Macbeth: HB
    Bruce Mowbray: kk, Fc.
Eliza Madrigal: is there a way to do that without constantly qualifiying?
Zen Arado: doesn't it narrow experience?
Eliza Madrigal: let me see if I can find the lines I read that sparked interest...
    Zen Arado: black and white
Bruce Mowbray: What narrows experience is judgment ABOUT those "dualities."
Daedalus687 Resident: I don't think so, the duality shows both ends of the supposed spectrum
    Daedalus687 Resident: right I agree
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, agrees with Daedalus.
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
Bruce Mowbray: The spectrums are here.
    Bruce Mowbray: Spectra, actually.

Zen Arado: still think there is a narrowing effect
Daedalus687 Resident: I would say there isnt a person to narrow
    Zen Arado: spectra are different
    Zen Arado: non dualistic
    Zen Arado: a scale
Bruce Mowbray: It is when we chop off some part of the spectra through our judgments that we lose out on experience.
    Bruce Mowbray listens.
Daedalus687 Resident: Or even attribute it to an agent
    Bruce Mowbray: nods.
    Zen Arado: it wasn't me
    Zen Arado: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Eliza Madrigal smiles @ Zen
Bruce Mowbray: (perhaps attributing it to an agent is one sub-set of judgment - which is a subset of categorization... and on it goes!)
    Daedalus687 Resident: holy maceral
Eliza Madrigal: okay - I did find the text, so as maybe to connect a few dots

    Note given/referenced:

Daedalus687 Resident: If I may, I wanted to express some thoughts that have come up in my personal exploration of these ideas, and how they relate specifically to language...I must say they may have a tinge of frustration
    stevenaia Michinaga: listens
    Lucinda Lavender: :) please do
Daedalus687 Resident: I have some sort of grasp (in as much as 'I' can grasp) of a infinite and finite space and time. I can experience to a limited degree the openness of what life has to offer. I see that my words are symbols of both a lower and higher level order. Yet...when I interact with people...say at work or even family to a degree, I immediately flip back to an ordinary understanding and common parlance language.
And I suppose my question is this: My new presupposition is that a qualitatively new form of language is continuously at the precipice of actualization. Yet it seems this type of communication is not set as a priority. I can speech in the parlance of TSK or something similar to those who may have read those ideas. Yet the disconnect is palpable.: Why aren’t we focusing on how to express these ideas with some commonality? and is this a worthwhile question even?

    --BELL--

Agatha Macbeth: Did I just see a planet appear?
    Bruce Mowbray: Just one, aggers?
Daedalus687 Resident: now thats what im talking bout
    Zen Arado: wb Fc
    Catrinamonblue Resident: WB :)
    Agatha Macbeth: My my
    Eliza Madrigal: marvelous!
    FcSeeker Resident: thank you
    Bruce Mowbray: WB!
Eliza Madrigal: (I'm making a notecard of the text so as to not bombard the chat area, and will share)
FcSeeker Resident: sorry; just had something to deliver for a moment *
    Bruce Mowbray: np.
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh it's Stargate's :)
Bruce Mowbray: good to have you back.
    Agatha Macbeth: Amazing
    FcSeeker Resident: *giggles*
Eliza Madrigal: its wonderful...fits in well somehow
FcSeeker Resident: it'll be for anyone to enjoy 'one day'; just wanted to bring it here now as I could
    Agatha Macbeth: Is it hollow?
FcSeeker Resident: Shadoblade who builded it, had seen such kind in SL and felt bad
FcSeeker Resident: no; 1 prim item
FcSeeker Resident: so she noticed that the map of stars was not right and decided to build own one
FcSeeker Resident: ty Eliza for the nc
Agatha Macbeth: Certainly makes a dramatic backdrop
Eliza Madrigal: you're welcome... that was the snippet that prompted me to ask Daedelus my question
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Daedalus687 Resident: sorry wheres the notecard?
Eliza Madrigal: ah, didn't receive? one moment
Agatha Macbeth: I sent one Liz
Eliza Madrigal: but now I'm hearing another idea along the lines of moving more completely with materials at hand
    Eliza Madrigal: ?
    Eliza Madrigal: thanks, Aggers

Zen Arado: I think language evolves slowly...always changing
Bruce Mowbray: I have it, Daedalus and Eliza... but wonder if language might itself be part of the "problem."
    Agatha Macbeth: YW
Zen Arado: but I see everything like that
Bruce Mowbray: In fact, the Tao to Ching says that language is the beginning of all problems!

Bruce Mowbray: I feel that we'd do better to agree to share compassion....
Bruce Mowbray: rather than ideas and labels.
Agatha Macbeth: Divided by a common language?
Zen Arado: we learn all these labels as children and they are useful
Bleu Oleander: well one needs language to express those ideas, no?
FcSeeker Resident: well...Fc can attend only in spirit, cuz have no idea what's going on ; that's cuz of my soooo laggy English
    Agatha Macbeth: Aww
Zen Arado: but they only point to real things in the end
    Agatha Macbeth ruffles FC's head
Eliza Madrigal: perhaps it is a similar unpacking to linear vs spontaneous 'time'
Bruce Mowbray: but Fc's "spirit" is one of compassion, so she/he offers us a common ground - and a common grounding.
    FcSeeker Resident: **
    Agatha Macbeth: Indeed

Eliza Madrigal: when I want to make sure I am understood, my language often goes flat and businesslike
Eliza Madrigal: when I'm only concerned about the process, it feels to open
Eliza Madrigal: and maybe I'm not sure anyone else understands the 'fact' or idea exactly
Agatha Macbeth pictures a businesslike Eliza
Eliza Madrigal: but something does seem conveyed
    Eliza Madrigal: :P
    Eliza Madrigal: shared
    Eliza Madrigal: not only*
Bruce Mowbray: Would you say that "opening" is more a-kin to compassion or to language.... if it is possible to separate those two?
Eliza Madrigal: oh, wait... no I was right...lol maybe should stop typing
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    FcSeeker Resident: ...is it ?
Eliza Madrigal: I like that, Bruce  (I read that not as a question at the time...compassionate opening of language is "what I heard" rather than what was said - or, was it)

Zen Arado: don't we all have a slightly different interpretation, meanng for any assigned word?
Bruce Mowbray opens, sits on hands, listens.....
FcSeeker Resident: ...inside that ball...there's a language also...of stars...
Eliza Madrigal: don't want to scapegoat language or throw up hands and say "well, this is all we have to work with"
    Eliza Madrigal: nice, Fc
    Bruce Mowbray: :)
    Zon Kwan: waves
    Eliza Madrigal waves Zon
Daedalus687 Resident: Ill quote a passage I like: Language is like a vehicle in which we can travel round endlessly without ever arriving somewhere
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Zon
    Catrinamonblue Resident: Bye Zon :)
    Bruce Mowbray: G'night, Zon.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ha, like that

Zen Arado: I heard a Canadian speaker today say he got ito trouble when he was in England when he told someone he used to wear suspenders
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    FcSeeker Resident: bye Zon
    Zen Arado: bye Zon
    Agatha Macbeth: :D
Eliza Madrigal: now two need to move between bruce and zen then everyone will have a hand to hold ^^
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing wrong with that ;)
    Bruce Mowbray: suspenders?
Zen Arado: suspenders are part of ladies underwear in England
Bruce Mowbray welcomes all brave comers to his side.
    Zen Arado: :)
    Bleu Oleander: cya later :)
Eliza Madrigal: still can't get fins into the pool though, laughs
Catrinamonblue Resident: Just need Bleu now
    Bruce Mowbray: bfn, Bleu!
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye Bleuji
    Daedalus687 Resident: bye bye
    Eliza Madrigal: alas
FcSeeker Resident: ...the tourguide in Egypt told, that he must have 'own Englis', because if he's speek Brittish English, ppl from America would be mad, and if American English, ppl from Brittain would be mad....
    Agatha Macbeth: TC
    Zen Arado: bye Bleu
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Catrinamonblue Resident: opps didn't see that Bleu was leaving :)
Bruce Mowbray: There's that judgment of the spectra again.
    Zen Arado: understandable Fc

    --BELL--

    Eliza Madrigal: (Hi Ari)
    Arisia Vita: (greetings all)
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello Ari <poke>
Eliza Madrigal: when I think of people who use "SL material" as fluently as words, I think of Bleu among the first
    Eliza Madrigal: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: I am limited... usually teleporting from discussion to discussion, so when I try to keep up with someone who speaks with prims it can be hard :)
Agatha Macbeth: Bleu is the colour
    Eliza Madrigal: but inspiring
Eliza Madrigal: (brb apologies, please continue talk!)
Daedalus687 Resident: Why is that hard you think? To 'speak' in prisms?
Catrinamonblue Resident: why is it hard to speak in any language?
Daedalus687 Resident: Would we be trading one logos for another?
Eliza Madrigal: my personal answer: I don't trust others to be patient
    Agatha Macbeth: 'It's only words'
Daedalus687 Resident: I'd like to imagine a 'zero-space' in SL
Eliza Madrigal: I fear taking too much time, to materialize something.. so if it doesn't pop up on its own it doesn't get shown
Bruce Mowbray: We are all children of the same "Logos," but, like Adam's children, we do not wholely appreciate the "other" of our brothers and sisters.
    Eliza Madrigal: zero space SL?
    Catrinamonblue Resident smiles at Bruce
Daedalus687 Resident: Like a gesture towards nothing and everything
    Bruce Mowbray smiles at everyone.
    Eliza Madrigal: :)

Daedalus687 Resident: Its hard to imagine a being 'entering in', yet that same zerospace is both in and out
    Eliza Madrigal: time being
Daedalus687 Resident: Like this pool in front of us
Daedalus687 Resident: What does this pool do? What can it do?
Daedalus687 Resident: Many more things i imagine

    play as language session_005.jpg

    Daedalus687 Resident: lolz
    Daedalus687 Resident: there ya go
    Eliza Madrigal: what pool
Eliza Madrigal: but I need to rezz more cushions... let's see
Daedalus687 Resident: Yes, a place without necessitating expansion
Agatha Macbeth: Yay can see Fael's flower again :<3
    Catrinamonblue Resident: nice :)
    Eliza Madrigal: nicer :)
    Daedalus687 Resident: Thanks bruce
    Bruce Mowbray: yw!

Agatha Macbeth: Liz and Cat both look wonderful today
FcSeeker Resident: ...it was not possible for this panda to try to move to USA to spouse's place, cuz there's no water near....
    Catrinamonblue Resident: :)
Eliza Madrigal: we all do... especially colorful together
    Agatha Macbeth: Mmm
    Eliza Madrigal: prism language ?
FcSeeker Resident: (worries now a bit for the fish)
    Bruce Mowbray remembers fish!
Eliza Madrigal: somewhere now a mantis shrimp is smiling
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe they're with Blub
Eliza Madrigal: fish? come to think of it my fins are getting a bit dry too...
    Eliza Madrigal: hahah
    Agatha Macbeth: Yuk
Bruce Mowbray: Where is that pool when one's fins need it?
    Bruce Mowbray: There it is.

    play as language session_006.jpg

Agatha Macbeth: 'Get in the pool and swim fool'
Eliza Madrigal: sorry Aggers... lycra shrinking?
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
FcSeeker Resident: got a call; brb
Agatha Macbeth: That tail came in handy after all
Bruce Mowbray: As much as I'd love to swim, I love sitting beside Fc even more, so I will stay here.
Catrinamonblue Resident: loves the feel of cool water :)
    Eliza Madrigal is being rejuvenated

    --BELL--

Agatha Macbeth: Lemme take a closer look at this planet
Eliza Madrigal: anything else on everyone's minds today? so quiet compared to last few weeks when chat was moving so fast I was dizzy - very well behaved today haha
Eliza Madrigal: Oh, can we go in?

Daedalus687 Resident: Hey that reminds me, anyone know of a good course on sacred geometry, or perhaps a book?
Daedalus687 Resident: The term is kinda overextended semantically to mean everything to everyone lately. but thats the best way I can approach the subject
Zen Arado: there's a course on Futurelearn you might find interesting
    Zen Arado: not geometry...corpus linguistics
Eliza Madrigal: if one can find a good kaballah course, that might be interesting.. or a Tibetan teacher...mandalas
    Agatha Macbeth: Qabalah is good
Daedalus687 Resident: Charles Gilchrist has a good youtube series
Daedalus687 Resident: I liked his stuff
Eliza Madrigal: what is future learn, Zen? similar to coursera?
Agatha Macbeth: The inside reminds me of Luci's cube
Bruce Mowbray: Yes, very similar to coursera... MOOC's.
    Zen Arado: yes Eliza
Bruce Mowbray: I am taking three courses through FutureLearn right now.
    Zen Arado: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/...us-linguistics
    Bruce Mowbray: ty, Zen.
Eliza Madrigal: :) Lucy's dream cube
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh

Zen Arado: control key is in wrong place on Mac :)
    Eliza Madrigal smiles
    Agatha Macbeth: Big Mac?
    Zen Arado: iMac
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Eliza Madrigal: :::pets laptop::: don't listen to him, nothing wrong with you::::
    Bruce Mowbray: 13 billio9n sold!
    Eliza Madrigal giggles
    Bruce Mowbray: billion*
    FcSeeker Resident: b
FcSeeker Resident: (shall roll the lines)
    Bruce Mowbray: b?
    Agatha Macbeth: B
Eliza Madrigal: reluctantly, especially with everything so vibrant today, I must go find a little nap
    Bruce Mowbray: be be be!
    Agatha Macbeth: Let it B
    Bruce Mowbray: Play as BE!

Daedalus687 Resident: hey bruce, ever find any text that is comprable to TSK?
(<-- question for another time ~ hope someone reasks it)
Bruce Mowbray: I will also have to go.... not myself, actually, but my typist.
    Zen Arado: byee
Bruce Mowbray: So, may all be safe, warm, and well.
FcSeeker Resident: ah yes; you can enter the Universe
Arisia Vita: it was great being with you all
    Agatha Macbeth: Byee
    Daedalus687 Resident: bye now
Bruce Mowbray: Byr for now, good people.
Arisia Vita: be well and happy
Agatha Macbeth: You too Ari dear
Agatha Macbeth: Well looks like we cleared the place
    FcSeeker Resident: *giggles*

FcSeeker Resident: shall we fly into the Universe ?
