    Eden Haiku: Good morning Storm!
Storm Nordwind: Good morning Eden! Looking as gorgeous as ever. :)
    Eden Haiku: Blushing shyly :)
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
Eden Haiku: Just installed a Second Life update (haven't been in-world in a looong time...)
Storm Nordwind: Yes, i have not seen you for... well... months, it seems. How are you?
Eden Haiku: After the update, my screen shrinked to a litlle corner of my dektop... Tried escape key. Do you have any idea how I could solve this?
Storm Nordwind: Hmmm... you know I use SL so infrequently now - just once a week for this session - that I really can't remember how to fix all its problems. I will have to think (unaccustomed as I am to doing so!).

Eden Haiku: Apart from this tiny tech problem, I'm good:) And you?
Eden Haiku: Well, don't worry. I guess I could solve this some other time.
Storm Nordwind: I've had some tricky times so far this year, but recovering well, thank you. I am keeping busy.
Eden Haiku: Tricky times, ohh... Yes 2013 was tricky. The year of the Horse looks better :)
Storm Nordwind: I think SL will remember what your screen size was the last time you logged off, and when you come back it should reinstate that.

Storm Nordwind: Oh it the Horse... somehow I missed the New Year - rather distracted at the time.
Eden Haiku: It's ok. It's just that I can't see you very well if I want to read the local chat...My desktop screen is huge so it,s sad it's all contracted now ;((
Eden Haiku: Year of the Horse started on January 29 or 31, something like that...
Storm Nordwind: I think you just have to drag the corners of the popup windows to the size you want.
Storm Nordwind: But I am using Firestorm, and configuring it to make it look like a series 1 viewer, so maybe it is different for your viewer.

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: The book launch of my book of haikus is tonite in Montreal :) I'm nervous about the reading. My delightful French accent is bothering me a lot...
    Storm Nordwind: Oh wonderful!
Storm Nordwind: JUST. BE. YOUR. SELF!!!
    Storm Nordwind: .
Storm Nordwind: And it will be fine. :))
Storm Nordwind: And even if you are nervous, the section of the audience that is worthwhile knowing will find it charming and disarming! :)

Eden Haiku: I have been trying to avoid selecting haikus with an "h" but it seems they all have "h" somehow,,, I will be myself without "h", yeah!
    Storm Nordwind smiles
Storm Nordwind: I have not written poetry for maybe three years now.
Eden Haiku: have you kept with your gogyohka practice?
    Eden Haiku: Snap!
Storm Nordwind: No. I suspect those times are past for me. One can excel in many things, but not all at the same time!
Eden Haiku: I was looking up for tyhe spelling of gogyohka:)
    Storm Nordwind: haha!

Storm Nordwind: So what was the spur that got you to install a new SL viewer? Being involved in poetry again here? Or some other event? Or just curiosity?
Eden Haiku: I remembered it was your session Storm and was wondering if you would coach
Eden Haiku: in having a delightfuk Bristish accent :)
Eden Haiku: An accent full f typos:)
Storm Nordwind: haha! You are not first to ask me that. And you are very kind to say so...

    --BELL--

Storm Nordwind: Well, you need to avoid post-vocalic 'r's. And many of your vowels need to be schwas. And you accent the first syllable in general in proper names rather than the second.
Eden Haiku: Ah that,s a good tip! Accenting the 1st syllable in any word, would that sound British instead of awkard French speaker?
Storm Nordwind: And you need to know that this month is called Feb-roo-a-ree and not Feb-yoo-a-ree!
Eden Haiku: I guess I only have to laugh at my accent :)

Storm Nordwind: Yes the first syllable accent is a Romance langauge thing that has been absorbed into American English. First syllable accent for names is more Germanic and still used in british English.
Storm Nordwind: Although the word 'Germanic' is an exception! haha!
    Eden Haiku: LOL

Eden Haiku: Would you read this for me in voice, with your delightful Bristish accent:
Eden Haiku: ::: A radiant angel
Eden Haiku: ::: Thundering into the brain
Storm Nordwind: And we all drive Jaguars (Super Bowl TV ad) and pronounce it jag-yoo-uh not jag-wah!
Eden Haiku: :::Clears a bright new path
Storm Nordwind: Let me see if I can find the talk button!
    Eden Haiku: hehe
    Eden Haiku: yes, wonderful
Eden Haiku: Thanks! É radiant angel ah!!
Eden Haiku: and then there is an h in thundering..
    Eden Haiku: The " t""? t instead of d...
    Eden Haiku: Butter!
    Eden Haiku: yes, I see...
    Storm Nordwind: bu-dR
    Storm Nordwind: butt-uh
    Eden Haiku: bu-DR is American...yes...
Eden Haiku: What is a schwaa...?
    Eden Haiku: ah...thanks...
    Storm Nordwind: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa
    Storm Nordwind: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwa
Eden Haiku: ah, thanks. Will open it later as right now my screen will vanish..
    Eden Haiku: ah yes...
Eden Haiku: Trying to use vocal chat...
Eden Haiku: Lost in SL viewer 2 settings...

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Thanks Storm. The settings say my vocal chat is activated but I don,T see the green dot next to my name....
Eden Haiku: I tried to say the haiku the way you said it , it's much better
Eden Haiku: I mean than it was before...
    Eden Haiku: radient
    Eden Haiku: Right,,,,
Eden Haiku: My publisher is from Bristish Columbia so he would be pleased...
Eden Haiku: Especially if I had a Northern English accent. He's kind of used to my delightful French accent, so I will have to settle for being myself.
Eden Haiku: I don't have atypical French-Canadian accent.
Eden Haiku: I do it when I'm angry though...
Eden Haiku: Si I would settle for sexy French accent :)
Eden Haiku: In fact, what is the most humbling is reading in English in front of many of my French-speaking friends...
Eden Haiku: They will compare their much better English accents :)
Eden Haiku: We live in diglossic culture, where we are constantly humiliated for not speaking "white" :)
Eden Haiku: So I guess this is one more shadow I have to let go :)

Eden Haiku: Thanks for using the vocal chat, bathing my ears into delightful English. The readers of the wiki will miss your wisdom, but hopefully it will rub on my reading tonite :)
Eden Haiku: Your advice; To be exotic! Wow!
Eden Haiku: Right. The goal shouldn't be to impress anyway.
Eden Haiku: Its, about shame I think. There is a shame connected to being imperfect.

    --BELL--

Eden Haiku: Right, I realize the shame is inside me, not outside. I have to deal with the inner shadow.. Thank you so much for your kind words Storm. Have a great day. Hopefully, next time I come in-world I can see something :)
Eden Haiku: I have a question before I leave:
Eden Haiku: There used to be a tip jar in here, is it gone?
Eden Haiku: Oh, I didn't know that Kira Institute wasn't a non-p^rofit oragnization. Ah, thanks.
Eden Haiku: It was delightful being with you this morning Storm.
Eden Haiku: I guess I'm going to go practice now.. Bye bye, have a nice day!
Eden Haiku: I will BE EXOTIC :_
    Storm Nordwind chuckles
