    Agatha Macbeth: Yay!
    Wol Euler smiles.
    Wol Euler: colourful!
    Agatha Macbeth: Evenin' Wollage ♥
    Wol Euler: hello aggers ♥
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I've had this ages
Agatha Macbeth: Had a good day?
Wol Euler: mixed, good enough I suppose
Agatha Macbeth: Oh 'mixed' again eh? ;)
    Agatha Macbeth grins
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: How exactly would you define a 'bad' day then?
Wol Euler: one where I came home feeling that I'd failed
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah :p
Agatha Macbeth: Well maybe failure is in the eye of the beholder?
    Wol Euler: perhaps :)
Agatha Macbeth: I think you are too hard on yourself sometimes
    Wol Euler: it's possible
Agatha Macbeth: It's nice to be perfect- but rarely attainable
Agatha Macbeth: For me the important thing is to be yourself

                   Snapshot_006.jpg
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah, cute :)
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Another Wollie number we rarely see
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: there is so much stuff in this inventory that never gets worn
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: I well remember when you did that 30 days thing on Flickr
    Wol Euler grins.
    Wol Euler: that was fun
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Wol Euler: perhaps I should do another
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes!
Agatha Macbeth: That would be good
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe you could blog at the same time
Wol Euler: yeah yeah yeah yeah
    Agatha Macbeth: Hehe
    Agatha Macbeth: Awww
Agatha Macbeth: My dear oh so predictable Wollie ♥
    Wol Euler nods sadly
    Agatha Macbeth hugs you
    Wol Euler thanks you
Agatha Macbeth: Do we still have topics or has everyone given up on them?
Wol Euler: they seem to have been abandoned
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah well
Wol Euler: along with the face board
Agatha Macbeth: They rarely got observed in my sessions anyway :p
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: I think Bleu took it down
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe couldn't keep up with all the disappearing guardians heh
Wol Euler: really? my impression is that it was static for at least a half year
Agatha Macbeth: I think one or two have given up recently tho?
    Wol Euler: no idead
    Wol Euler: -d
    Agatha Macbeth: Interesting typo :p
    Wol Euler: heheh
    Wol Euler: iDead
Wol Euler: a new apple product
Agatha Macbeth: Apple's new funeral service maybe
    Wol Euler: yep
    Agatha Macbeth: Snap
Wol Euler: blogging from beyond the grave
    --BELL--1315
Agatha Macbeth: And still beats Windoze ha

Agatha Macbeth: Are they doing the 99 days again this year?
    Wol Euler: again, no idea
    Agatha Macbeth: Would be good
Wol Euler: I guess people would if somebody started it
    Wol Euler: so start it!
Agatha Macbeth: I might even make the effort to get into it myself this time
    Wol Euler: there you go!
Agatha Macbeth: I said 'might' ;)
Wol Euler: if you were organizing it you'd have an additiional incentive to take part!
Agatha Macbeth: Oh I couldn't organise a you know what who knows where
Agatha Macbeth: Not of my specialities I'm afraid
Agatha Macbeth: I usually just cross my fingers and hope for the best :p
Wol Euler: perhaps that might be enough?
    Agatha Macbeth: Well....
Agatha Macbeth: Damn good job I don't design buildings
Agatha Macbeth: They'd all fall down
Wol Euler: that is generally frowned upon, in most countries
Wol Euler: you could be an African architect, or a Chinese one
Wol Euler: they just bribe the people who are supposed to inspect the buildings
Agatha Macbeth: Ah, a chinese one appeals
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: Their temples are nice tho
Wol Euler: and if it falls down and kills a few hundred children, well there are so many more.
    Agatha Macbeth sighs
Wol Euler: (that earthquake a few years back ...)
Agatha Macbeth: Which one was that?
    Agatha Macbeth: In China?
    Wol Euler: yep
    Agatha Macbeth: Hmm
Agatha Macbeth: There seem to be so many these days :(
Agatha Macbeth: Is Vancouver on the Pacific rim?
    Wol Euler: mmhmm
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh dear
Wol Euler: though for some reason it seems pretty stable
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Agatha Macbeth: I thought that
Wol Euler: I don't know when they last had a tremor there
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Agatha Macbeth: Don't think Canada is well known for earthquakes
Agatha Macbeth: Apparently the most seismically active country in the world is Iran
Wol Euler: more than Japan? wow
Agatha Macbeth: Which kinda surprised me
    Agatha Macbeth: Apparently
    Agatha Macbeth: So says Wiki
Wol Euler: then it must be true!
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
Agatha Macbeth: We had one here about ten years back
Wol Euler: there have been two that were felt in Stuttgart since I moved here
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Wol Euler: they are pretty common, actually :)
Agatha Macbeth: Again, don't think of Germany as particularly seismically active
Wol Euler: it isn't ;) but htey can occur anywhwere
Agatha Macbeth: Or most of Europe for that matter
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: apart from ITaly, of course
    Agatha Macbeth: Yes
    Agatha Macbeth: And volcanoes
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: All depends whether you're near the edge of a plate I think
Agatha Macbeth: Think Iceland gets a few
Wol Euler: well there was one in Toronto a few years back, and that's about as far from a plate edge as you can get
Agatha Macbeth: I remember Bryn saying there was a tornado once
Wol Euler: I think they're like thunderstorms: can occur anywhere at all, but some places are vastly more likely to get them than others
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh yes
Agatha Macbeth: No escape from Mother's wrath
    Wol Euler nods.
    --BELL--1330
Agatha Macbeth: Sorry I'm gabbling a bit tonight
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder how many people actually read the logs these days?
Wol Euler: Eliza does, she says
Agatha Macbeth: Oh Liz does I know
Agatha Macbeth: Not sure about others
Agatha Macbeth: I tend to read the old ones more
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: reminds me that I have a few unposted logs. I shall do that tonight
    Agatha Macbeth smiles
Agatha Macbeth: Does anyone actually come to the 1AMs now?
Wol Euler: some of them, sometimes
Wol Euler: all three of mine last week were attended by at least one person other than myself
Agatha Macbeth: I remember QT used to turn up quite often on sundays
    Wol Euler: he still does
Wol Euler: somebody I haven't seen in a while is Hana, she used to come regularly
    Agatha Macbeth: Bless him
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah yes
Agatha Macbeth: Been coming here a while now I think
    Wol Euler: Hana?
Agatha Macbeth: Don't seem to see many of the old Kira crowd any more
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: she's been in SL as long as I have, I believe
Wol Euler: and yes, they are becoming scarce
    Agatha Macbeth: Pity
Agatha Macbeth: I think Maxine is the only one I see regularly now
    Wol Euler nods.
Wol Euler: I never see Storm or Eos, apart from E attending the guardian meetings

    Agatha Macbeth: Hiya Zenny
Zen Arado: 's current display-name is "Zen".
    Wol Euler: hello zen
Agatha Macbeth: The DJ is in da house
    Wol Euler: nice flowery shirt
    Zen Arado: Hi Aga, Wol
    Zen Arado: ty
    Agatha Macbeth: How goes it?
    Zen Arado: quiet tonight
    Zen Arado: ok
Agatha Macbeth: Yep just us chickens
Zen Arado: battling my way through the storms
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
Zen Arado: and TV reports of them
Agatha Macbeth: Been really nice here today
Zen Arado: yeh not bad here
Agatha Macbeth: I heard there was a lot of flooding in the south east
    Zen Arado: brief respite
Wol Euler: a friend of mine on FB posted about the rail line to the Cornish coast towns being washed away
    Zen Arado: and the Thames
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh my
    Zen Arado: yeh some were
Agatha Macbeth: It was pretty bad yesterday morning
    --BELL--1345
    Agatha Macbeth: Wind was awful
Zen Arado: just a series of storms all winter
Zen Arado: there is a TV program about architects on atm
    Wol Euler: oh=
    Wol Euler: ?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Zen Arado: 'Brits who built the world' or something
    Agatha Macbeth: 0.0
Zen Arado: nothing like being modest :)
Agatha Macbeth: Never knew we did that :p
    Zen Arado: Norman Foster
Zen Arado: didn\t watch the rest
    Wol Euler nods.
Agatha Macbeth: I remember Charles Foster Kane
    Agatha Macbeth: And his rosebud
Wol Euler: was he an architect?
Agatha Macbeth: Hm, don't think so
Wol Euler: was he even British?
Agatha Macbeth: But I loved his line 'The people will believe what we tell them to'
    Agatha Macbeth: Naaw
Agatha Macbeth: He'd hardly have run for president if he was :p

    Zen Arado: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/a...ern-world.html
    Agatha Macbeth: God how repulsive
    Zen Arado: what is?
Agatha Macbeth: That thing with mirrors
    Zen Arado: ah
Agatha Macbeth: I much prefer medieval cathedrals
Zen Arado: real thing might look better
    Zen Arado: don't know
Zen Arado: I kinda like modernist stuff
    Agatha Macbeth: Yuk
Zen Arado: it can be a klittle soulless maybe
    Zen Arado: little
Zen Arado: but I haven't seen much
Agatha Macbeth: Bet Wollie could design a good cathederal
    Wol Euler smiles modestly.
Wol Euler: I'd certainly give it a good try
    Agatha Macbeth: I'll bet
Zen Arado: it would have to be modernist too though
    Wol Euler: yes :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Paddy's wigwam
    Zen Arado: architecture moves on
Wol Euler: and cost structures change
Zen Arado: or maybe do a retro cathedral :)
Wol Euler: when the old cathedrals were built, human labour was basically free
    Wol Euler: materials were expensive
Wol Euler: because transportation was difficult
    Agatha Macbeth: Hello QT
Zen Arado: and that stone is so heavy
Qt Core: a very late Hi all!
    Zen Arado: Hi Qt
    Agatha Macbeth: Heavy man
Wol Euler: these days, transportantion is easy so materials are very cheap. Human labour is what drives costs now
    Agatha Macbeth nods
Wol Euler: that and interest payments
Zen Arado: it's the romance attached to old cathedrals
Wol Euler: so: we couldn't build a cathedral like Chartres again even if we wanted one
Zen Arado: actual buildings are heavy and dark?
    Agatha Macbeth is romantic
Wol Euler: which is to say that a private client like Bill Gates could do one a week, but no city and few states would wish to pay for that
Agatha Macbeth: Well we have one already anyway
Zen Arado: some of them collapsed didn't they?
Wol Euler: then there is the money spent on the Olympic games
    Wol Euler: many, actually
Wol Euler: total or partial collapses were common
Wol Euler: (for certain values of "common", obviuosly)
Agatha Macbeth: No health and safety laws then
Wol Euler: oh, hello qt, sorry
Wol Euler: I was too busy sounding off to see you arrivwe
    Qt Core: np :-)
Zen Arado: much more glass in modern buildings
    --BELL--1400
Agatha Macbeth: Not stained glass sadly
    Zen Arado: http://www.pinterest.com/theroundwin...oducts-i-love/
Zen Arado: link didn\t work hmm
    Zen Arado: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mo...w=1601&bih=904
    Zen Arado: modern stained glass
Zen Arado: bet;s it's really expensive
Wol Euler: there's some lovely stuff in there, amid the kitsch
Zen Arado: wonder if I cna get some for my apartment?
Zen Arado: I have two patio type doors
Zen Arado: but people walkig by would gawk at it
    Wol Euler: wb aggers
    Zen Arado: wb Aggers
Zen Arado: knee warmers a good idea :)
Wol Euler: better to have them gawping at the door than looking *through* the door into your apartment!
Zen Arado: hmm good point Wol
Zen Arado: andf would see less
Agatha Macbeth: Who's looking through your door?
Zen Arado: I think Brits say gawk
    Zen Arado: Americans say gawp
    Zen Arado: Aggers?
    Agatha Macbeth: Mm?
Zen Arado: people walk past walking dogs or just walking
    Agatha Macbeth: Oh
    Agatha Macbeth: Like Bleu ;P
Zen Arado: bit far away for her
    Zen Arado: :)
Agatha Macbeth: Isn't there a tune called Walking the dog?
    Zen Arado: maybe
    Agatha Macbeth: Gershwin?
Zen Arado: it was a move with yo yo's
    Zen Arado: :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Ah
Agatha Macbeth: Could never get the hang of those things
Agatha Macbeth: They just used to hit the floor and stay there
Wol Euler: do kids still play with them?
    Agatha Macbeth: Dunno
Wol Euler: maybe there's a smartphone app ...
Agatha Macbeth: Or an Xbox version
Zen Arado: think they become a fad for a while and disappear again
    Zen Arado: he yes
    Agatha Macbeth: Like hula hoops
    Zen Arado: yo yo **********Applause!!**********
    Zen Arado: **********Applause!!**********
    Zen Arado: drat
    Agatha Macbeth bows
    Wol Euler smiles.
Zen Arado: nice buildings in LOndon
    Zen Arado: the Gkerkin
Agatha Macbeth: Wonder if anything much will happen for the birthday party this year?
    Zen Arado: the Shard
Zen Arado: needs someone to push it I guess
    Agatha Macbeth: Hm
Agatha Macbeth: Maybe I'll bring it up on sunday
    Wol Euler: good idea
Zen Arado: I'm an independent thinker, not a pusher according to Facebook
Agatha Macbeth: That sounds about right
Zen Arado: that lets me off :)
Agatha Macbeth: I'm Dr McCoy apparently
Zen Arado: I'll just sit and think
    Zen Arado: Capn Kirk here
Agatha Macbeth: Beam me up Scotty
    Wol Euler smiles.
Zen Arado: no I say that
    Zen Arado: :)
Wol Euler: can't remember what mine was
    Wol Euler: sensitive something
    Agatha Macbeth: Spock
    Wol Euler: intuition?
    Zen Arado: Spock
    --BELL--1415
    Agatha Macbeth: Illogical captain
    Zen Arado: oh
Agatha Macbeth: I do love it when we get silly
    Zen Arado: examines Wol's ears
    Agatha Macbeth: onigokko
    Zen Arado: pointless exercise :)
    Agatha Macbeth: Yay
Zen Arado: I'm a silly independent thinker
Agatha Macbeth: Ministry of silly onis
    Agatha Macbeth: stop
Agatha Macbeth: Ah I needed that
    Wol Euler smiles.
Agatha Macbeth pokes Wol in the ear
    Wol Euler: ow
Zen Arado: one of my ears is waxed up again
    Zen Arado: any tips?
    Agatha Macbeth: Ear ear
    Wol Euler: q
    Agatha Macbeth: Bus
    Wol Euler: q tips
    Agatha Macbeth: Bus q
Zen Arado: not supposed to use those
Agatha Macbeth: There was a band called that
Zen Arado: and they don't like syringing any more
Agatha Macbeth: Just go deaf that'll keep em happy
Wol Euler: so what should we do, then`?
Zen Arado: need my hearing though
    Wol Euler: yeah
    Agatha Macbeth: Pardon?
    Zen Arado: comes in handy
Zen Arado: doing really tough listening exercises atm
    Agatha Macbeth: Ooh
Zen Arado: they play a sample were one item of a band has some reverb added
    Agatha Macbeth: Do they work?
Zen Arado: and youu have to say what type of reverb
Zen Arado: hall, church, room, linear, ambient
    Wol Euler: hmmmm
    Agatha Macbeth: My
Zen Arado: and uses different instruments different exercises
Agatha Macbeth: The flush would give it away if it's the toilet
    Zen Arado: no bathroom one
Zen Arado: I didn't know there were so many types of reverb
Zen Arado: there's plate and spring reverb too
    Agatha Macbeth: Acoustics
    Zen Arado: sound engineering
    Wol Euler nods.
    Agatha Macbeth: Ministry of noise
Zen Arado: they have to design acoustic properties with large buildings
    Wol Euler nods.
    Zen Arado: use absorbtive materials
    Zen Arado: sometimes
Wol Euler: not just the obvious ones like concert halls either
Agatha Macbeth wonders what a building sounds like
Zen Arado: a place I go to has an eating area that is so echoey
Zen Arado: and when about 50 people are in there it's awful
Agatha Macbeth: Echo Beach far away in time
Zen Arado: hard floor tiles and bare walls
Wol Euler: good lord! fancy you knowing that song
Agatha Macbeth: I think egg boxes absorb sound well
Agatha Macbeth: Martha and the Muffins?
Wol Euler: they tend to look like crap though, which is why people don't use them :)
    Wol Euler: yep
    Agatha Macbeth: Make good daleks
Zen Arado: the shape helps too I guess
Agatha Macbeth: Nothing like a soundproofed dalek
    Agatha Macbeth: Silent extermination
Zen Arado: anyway I better go think
    Agatha Macbeth: Yeh
    Wol Euler: me too
Wol Euler: goodnight zen, take care
Agatha Macbeth: Think we reached a natural end
Zen Arado: I'll think of something :)
    Qt Core: bye
    Zen Arado: byee
    Agatha Macbeth: Bye for noo
    --BELL--1430
Wol Euler: if an abrupt one :)
    Wol Euler: goodnight all
Qt Core: come late and got distracted... bah
Agatha Macbeth skates off into the sunset
    Qt Core: :-)
    Wol Euler: awwwww
    Agatha Macbeth: Ciao QT
Wol Euler: bye qt, bye aggers
    Wol Euler: ♥
    Agatha Macbeth: Schlaf gut Wollie
    Agatha Macbeth: ♥
    Wol Euler: euch auch!
